Sans can't stop smiling he has no muscles. It is technically biologically impossible for him to stop. It amazes me how he widens it when he becomes mentally insane. Its horrifying to see how far sans depression goes. You feel sorry for dusty as this is possibly the most heroic thing he's ever done. For the sake of everyone being happy, he put not only his life but his sanity and well being on the line. Poor dusty
It's called dustale because in undertale, monsters disintegrate into a heap of dust when they die, and sans has gotten dirty from the dust that was what remained of his victims.
You should try out the "In The Galaxy mod", i am kinda pretty sure that you can't do a perfect combo

The white arrows will kill you if you hit to many of them and the purple bone arrows will give you carma which will drain your hp or some people say it allows sans to fight back
Dusttale sans is one of my favourite versions of sans. Up there with Error sans
to be honest the Karma notes are so unfair and annoying, literally just hitting ONE in ANY of the songs with the gaster blasters makes you die. And I kept accidentally hitting them cause they blend in with the purple notes (pain). At least when the notes go transparent in Hallucinations I could just press every button to the time of the music instead of straining my eyes
