"It's not everyday you get a movie that's loved by both the military community and the gay community" SO true
“My piano instructor was JK Simmons” I’m so glad I understood that reference!😂
Finally it’s here..
ruclips.net/video/nb2nFrAygxc/видео.html
I've always associated Miles Teller for Whiplash rather than Top Gun: Maverick. I remember watching Top Gun: Maverick and saying "oh hey, that's Andrew."
Not my tempo!
@@lolmosse7276 do you think you're out of tune?
It’s not hard.
Wow!!! Great monologue. He should be really proud. He’s a natural at this.
I'm glad they are still letting the hosts have their own monologues rather than being in the background. Miles did a great job here.
When did the hosts not have monologues?
@@Andy-bh8hw Many times the host just says a few lines then the rest turns over to guest stars or cast members.
Yea, kinda weird comment.
I don't think you understand how SNL monologues work. The host ALWAYS has one. The monologue is always written by the SNL writers unless the host is a stand up comedian/returning SNL writer who chooses to write their own (See John Mulaney, Louis CK, Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari) the host monologue regardless of lines or whether it's a bit with other cast members, is an integral part of the show and literally has happened for every SNL host and SNL show ever.
@@kengeorgejones6855 That's still the host monologue as written by the SNL writers as 99% of SNL host monologues are. If you think every SNL host that has a good solo monologue is freestyling out there, saying their own jokes and material, you are very much so mistaken.
That home video is pure “having an Older Sister”. I know the lyrics to almost every Backstreet Boy song and I haven’t listened to them in almost 25 years.I blame one person.
Spartan Cheerleaders is my first memory of SNL and I've been hooked ever since! That home video was adorable
Gotta give it up with how fast SNL uploads their material. Within the hour? Not too shabby.
Finally it’s here..

Such a great monologue! Love the pictures of him and Maddow and the 2 videos. Very cute and clever💗
I love how as a kid they would do their skits and now he’s a host. How sweet is that? 🥰
This guy is awesome and has always been a phenomenal actor.
Miles did a fine job this evening.
Surpassed expectations. 👍
That Whiplash reference is literally genius.
Literally? You mean, literally? Nobody would have believed you if you hadn’t said literally.

Miles' sister "playing Lorne Michaels" made me laugh out loud
My gosh was this the longest wait for a new season I’ve ever had!
Good to see John Cusack still getting work.
I have loved Miles Teller since he was cast in the remake of Footloose. His character was SO good and he made that movie SO enjoyable for me. I have not seen, or even heard of Top Gun, Maverick, but I will definitely find it and watch it! He is adorable and did a fine job opening for SNL here! So talented, and quite good looking too🙂
He’s my favorite actor at the moment. He’s always good and is like-able
From F4 to Top Gun. Comeback of the decade.
War dogs was after Fantastic 4 and was a great movie
@@Locadel2003 Nothing Todd Phillips has done can he considered "great".
Miles Teller was terrific in both Top Gun: Maverick & The Offer.
More folks should check out the Offer, such a terrific show, sad that it got shut out at the Emmy Awards.
Easily the best show of the year! And all the actors are amazing.
It really should go viral.
I know!! I loved it. So entertaining.
Yes, he was amazing in that.
@@egzi9160 Giovanni was awful as Joe Columbo. That was terrible casting there. Otherwise The Offer was pretty good.
Loved the Spartan cheerleaders video. Nice monologue. He kind of looks like a young Paul Newman.
That home video was hilarious and adorable!
It’s nice whenever an actor has fond memories of SNL and then comes to host
This episode had a lot of the same energy as last season’s premiere with Owen Wilson. He was energetic and fun, and they put focus on the new members, and that’s exactly what they did with this one.
Ohmygosh this is the cutest monologue
He’s a really good guy. Seems very comfortable in front of the camera
He's a professional film actor. Of course he's going to be comfortable in front of the camera.
He probably meant comfortable in a live set with the camera. Movies and TV shows have reshoots. SNL is live, with no wiggle room.
NAILED IT!
IM SO GLAD ITS BACK YASSSS
@Finally 🅥 cute thx
Me, too!
his mustache was soo cute
awesome Miles!
I love when life does a 180 for people. That’s when you know, this is where I’m suppose to be. ❤
Miles "Rooster" Teller. Good job, though I know that here are no two words in the English language more harmful than "good job".
Finally it’s here..
ruclips.net/video/nb2nFrAygxc/видео.html
It's Miles "Rachel Maddow" Teller.
happy birthday to Miles! 🥳
Miles did a great job hosting this week looking forward to seeing Brendan Gleeson next week
The old video was so cute! Especially the jumps at the end! :)
Kenan is my fav & has been for years!!!
😆...it's like a spider 🕷 and a lady bug🐞 had babies...lol 🤣
Miles is the best. Love Miles so much ❤️💕🥵🙏
Dude nailed it.
Happy twentieth season to Keenan Thompson still hilarious
And now you're doing skits that I'm watching in MY living room!
I've never heard of Miles Teller but after watching him host SNL I'm a fan.
ZENSER...ALIVE...ALIVE...ALIVE...
Excellent fun glad your mom found that
Teller is funny without even tryin😂
Yess snl we’re back!
Miles and family... very talented and charasmatic ❤
Damn, he is so good looking AND talented. Perfect combination
Saturday night live greatness
Every time!
I think it is so great having Miles Teller hosting SNL, with Top Gun pretty recent and I'm SURE they'll be announcing him soon as Marvel's Reed Richards.
Right...?!
I'd missed that show Saturday. Miles Teller is great as Rooster in the great movie Top Gun Maverick.
The Whiplash joke lol
Fantastic cold open. Lorne always knows what tone to set with the cast season to season. F*ck the hate.
Wow, what a comeback this man has made!
Right? Was just thinking that tape will go a long way in the rehab of his career. What was his fall from grace about anyway?
He did a great job 😍👏
Miles Teller is the first-time terrific host to the season premiere of SNL Season 48. Good job. 👍👍
Man why did y'all take it away from Hulu, now I can't watch full episodes. And I refuse to get Peacock.
Fantastic host
Miles Teller, I love the film Top Gun: Maverick, and your first-time hosting Saturday Night Live: Season 48: The Previous Season.
I wish I had access to the same florist that they use. There's always a giant beautiful bouquet on the stage.
I'm going to make a feature film called 'High School Shooting the Musical' in 2024
First time in SNL history announcements of featured cast members are all born in the 1990s
Congratulations to you miles .
Congratulations to you Kendrick
May King Jesus bless and keep you guys 🌅✊🏼
Awesome 😊
Always!
I thought they cancelled Kenan but apparently they expanded his show to just over an hour
I don't care about Top Gun,I know and love him from The Offer-great film!!
Nailed it
El amor de mi viiiiida
Not fan of Miles but I'm impressed he did very well on the show..new fan .
Is there a reason you're not a fan?
I haven't even seen him in anything recent. I first watched him in Whiplash, and he was incredible.
Top Gun Maverick one of the best films ever made. He plays Rooster.
How can you listen to that applause at the beginning and say that SNL is on its way out
He's Richard Gear young
Who is Teller. Had to look him up. Maybe being in Top gun is like starting in the Disney club. Guaranteed fame 🤔
Edit: wait I loved Whiplash. More though since I like Simmons. Miles was good in that if I recall... Worth a rewatch I think
Why SNL doesn’t have the spartan cheer on RUclips yet still baffles me
Great monologue! Looks like a great show!
Just curious: Is that Natasha Leggero at the back with a pink guitar in hand?
Miles Teller was once set to play Dan Aykroyd in a John Belushi Bio Pic, but for some reason, that project never came to be.
Anything is possible *KG voice*
They missed the chance to have Anthony Edwards come do a skit as his Dad....
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Never thought that nigga from 21 an over would becone this😂😭
Kendrick Lamar....beautiful performance...it touched my heart...God Bless you and yours love 💯😌❤🙏💫🔥
he looks like young john cusack
If Jake Novak doesn’t make an appearance this season I’m gonna go insane.
Interesting that SNL asks a cardboard cutout to host
I had to click on the first video I could after accidentally seeing the Amy Schumer’s opening
Come home from the dance club and watch this
play it on 1.25
This is the first episode since the Daniel Craig/The Weeknd episode of Season 45 to feature the host, the band, the cast and audience members do not wear masks. 👍👍
He looks like Fred and Ben Savage
His look-alike is Joel Olsteen.
Omg you’re right
Still doin the Al Rhddy voice
People thinking he wouldn’t be charming or personable are feeling pretty awkward right now.
I think that's because so many people regard him as an actor who plays naive juvenile roles. But he has evolved into a dapper, handsome leading man type. He's not a young wannabe anymore. He has a natural confidence now.
SNL really doing the most now they want me to pay more to watch their show..no thank you. I think ill love with out it.
Ikr. I used to watch it on Hulu and it want to buy me on Hulu Premium or on Peacock. What sellouts!
He kinda reminds me of a younger looking shane walsh from the walking dead.
This guy is so underrated. He is so talented and I wish the best for him.
He’s got nowhere to go but up in this business.
I am so happy he is getting the recognition he deserves. He was remarkable in Whiplash.
No longer underrated
Cannot wait to see him win an Oscar
Agree. I still don't know, why Academy don't give him to nomination for his performance in "Whiplash".
His voice is wayyy deeper than it was on Whiplash.
I dont know how it happened lmao
@@PsychoBenches hope it isn't alcohol. He's been looking a tiny bit red and bloated in his newer interviews.
He was 23 when he filmed Whiplash. He’s now 35, it’s called aging.
@space_4736 the male voice doesn't deepen after 21-23 though.
@@PsychoBenches Lmao who told you that.
I love when they show home videos of the hosts as kids . It humanizes them and makes being host seem like an attainable goal
Miles Teller did an AWESOME job on SNL!! He was hilarious.
This not only marks Kenan's 20th season but it also marks the 20th season they have used the Grand Central Terminal set. Because they both debuted in Season 29 in 2003. And I just realized that Cecily Strong wasn't in the intro so that probably makes it 9.
😲
should not have changed the logo
Finally it’s here..

Man, time flies.
Oh, and it's also the first time since season 45 that there's no one wearing COVID masks during the goodnights.
Never mind She hasn't left. She must have been busy. I got some information. Someone replied me.
Miles is a fantastic actor. His dialogue delivery is always top notch.
I'm truly humbled from Miles' story of his childhood of dreaming to be a superstar.
