Spca Foster Horse Training Part Three: Saddling Up a Horse for the First Time

It’s time for more of Sam and Ashley! Their training is moving along and they are making great progress! In today’s video, Ashley will be introducing Sam to a saddle for the first time. It’s not as easy as throwing it on Sam's back up. Ashley will walk us through the process of teaching Sam to not fear the saddle and to be comfortable with running around with the saddle on his back. I just have to reiterate: training horses is a lot like training kids! Be calm, don't reward bad behavior, practice throwing saddles at them...oh wait, that's for horses not kids!

We sometimes throw saddles at kids here, for sure! That must be why kids here are so well behaved.
