Getting Divine shields on everything is probably more important and he couldn't sell Yu-Lon just yet.
It's really dependent on how the game is going, but he was scaling well with 2 then 3 golden poets.
You're usually right with Mummifier for Nightbane right but bear in mind, Shady goes for the fun thing over the "min-max play" for the content xD

Well, yeah. There used to be divine shield reborn minions in the game, I think the only one is technically the zilliax mech now a days. If a minion is divine shield, it doesn't lose that keyword upon reborning, unless it gained Divine shield as an effect, and not a keyword the minion has
