When virtually every song becomes a favourite until the next one, and every time you hear a song again you find something else that surprises you, you know you're listening to lovebites, they're on a level above another level imo, they play like goddesses and look like goddesses. To appear easy, you (most of the time) have to work hard for it! In 2018 I saw Lovebites for the first time and then also live - what a path these women have been on for more than 5 years now, from an incredibly well-playing band, yes, a memorably well-playing combo, to the band that Lovebites will be at the end of 2023 is and represents, this is a path of will, of work and the desire to be better than the day before, which most musicians and bands in this world will never go, will never be able to go - even bands that are already 20, 30 years in business!

Read their wiki, the year following their debut, they won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for Best New Band (2018) - a first for any Japanese band. They were also the first Japanese female band to perform at Wacken Open Air (2018) in Germany - the leading metal concert in Europe. The following year, they toured the UK ... not Japan - with DragonForce - one of the "big four" power metal bands. So they knew early on what their calling was about ... to consistently perform at the highest level, creating history, and everything that this requires and demands. The year 2024 promises the be a watershed year for LOVEBITES after ther long hiatus, when the they will start to become a mainstage and headliner band in the heavy metal universe.

Welcome back, RC. Regarding which "We The United" to watch: I think their "Five of a Kind Tour", Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 is the best choice. It's a much more emotional performance and it includes a much better finale with a great group stage bow. The only version of it that I can find (currently) on RUclips that includes the full finale is the one that also has "Edge of the World" before it (which you've already reacted to). I think it is well worth it to check out that version, with both songs, to get the full emotional impact of not just "We the United", but also the big finale of a legendary show. Regarding which "We The United" to watch: I think their "Five of a Kind Tour", Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 is the best choice. It's a much more emotional performance and it includes a much better finale with a great group stage bow. The only version of it that I can find (currently) on RUclips that includes the full finale is the one that also has "Edge of the World" before it (which you've already reacted to). I think it is well worth it to check out that version, with both songs, to get the full emotional impact of not just "We the United", but also the big finale of a legendary show. if one day someone tells you that a metal band is better than Lovebites, to prove it, that band would have to do a better harmonized solo than this performance. For me, this video is the yardstick by which to judge and compare.
