Some schools don’t know until the day of who are striking as now they can find cover for the classes striking which negates the impact!

The reason schools weren't all able to give parents warning about closure is that the unions encouraged teachers not to tell their leadership until the last minute to cause maximum disruption and impact. A lot of us did not do this though as it would have affected children and families more than anything else and that was not the intention. Well said Lee, you spoke very eloquently 👏

Every year they ask teachers to do more with less money. The stress of their unrealistic expectations causes teachers to leave the profession for good. Our students are also expected to be universally above average or teachers are branded failures.
