My man...What a great how-to-video! I had to temporarily store my 3 mounts in an attic for 2 years, and mice chewed the noses of all three. Your explanations and technique helped me to restore them perfectly. Thank you, sir!!
That repair was absolutely ridiculous! Well done. I have used both your wool roving repair to save the back of some ears, and I used your "save some hair" tip to save a brisket that was devoid of hair from the deer kicking at ticks. Both made for much better products and the customers appreciated the extra work! Thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy watching your videos and learn something new almost every time. I hope that one day i can get you to work on a deer that ive harvested. ❤
Thanks for putting the link for that texture pad !! I've looked through McKenzie catalog and Van Dykes and couldn't find that thing anywhere lol. Nice job on that deer look awesome..
Like it never even happened!!! 👊🏻 After watching you replace the hair on the chin, I wondered how a shredded cigarette filter (an unsmoked one of course) would work/look in that situation?
What kinda tricks do ya have for ear repair... My dad's first buck he took in 1975 is showing his age, and I can't seem to find a cape that's close to his size ( 28" neck over the hair) so I really would like to repair it.
The same thing happened to mine. He’s missing most of his nose and about 4 inches up his snout. I’m ashamed I let it happen to him in a storage unit. Is it possible at all to replace just that part with a donor instead of having him recaped? I can’t show him off like that it’s a disgrace to how beautiful he was. He’s a perfect 8 with tall tines and a decent spread and I want him back on the wall where he belongs
I would repair it like in the video and see how it turns out before having it remounted. I believe a donor nose would work also if a taxidermist was willing to try it
You have amazing talent! There's not a doe in the woods that could pass up that handsome buck.
One of your best how to videos yet! Thanks

Awesome job!

Daniel, this is excellent. Would it be ok to puncture some holes into the manikin so that the apoxie sculpt has better adhesion?
Yes you can
Is it possible for a video of the process of using dry preservatives?
Not on this channel but I’m sure you can find one

Donde consigo ese molde para marcarle la nariz
I just added the link in the description of the video 👍
Nice video keep it up
I have some 2 part Miliput. Will that work?
I’m not familiar with it, but if it is permanent and is paintable, I’m sure it would 👍
@@thecedarridgechronicles Thanks! I use it for bait making. I’ll give it a try! Appreciate the quick response! 🤘
@middleriverbaits4694 absolutely!
Lo que pasa que tengo un venado con ese problema y no se donde conseguir ese molde para marcarle la nariz
I just posted the link for the top in the description of the video

Use the same technique. White wool roving does great on ear repair
Thank you very much for the help.
Are you doing this to all your noses of just the damaged ones?
I do it on every one
