I am Korean. There are a lot of interesting Korean dramas and movies without Netflix. There have been good works since a few years ago. I am grateful that foreigners view Korean culture highly. Koreans really work hard in all fields to achieve good results.
@@Stzape Yeah but in places like Korea and Japan, it's in their blood bro. I know you're trying to be snarky, but the work ethic of the people in those two countries is way beyond that of the average Westerner. And when my dude says 'all fields' he means ALL fields. They even take their hobbies seriously as well
@@Li1190 snarky.. not really lol just feeling good about us Koreans doing well these days. Also trying to give chill pills to my people cuz we get overexcited really well. + we humble ppl so we don't underrate other people's acomplishments. But yea thanks for explaining my country to me.

Omg! I didn't even realize I hadn't finished the episode until I was watching your reaction looool, I thought it ended just after her dad died for some reason. Had to pause and go finish it, and the second half of the episode was fye!!!
G'day gents, great to see you appreciating Korean cinema. I really recommend the following films, which really define the noir genre in Korean cinema. 1). A bittersweet life (the movie which put Lee Byung Hun on the map). 2). The man from nowhere (was copied by Bollywood in an abysmal remake) 3). I saw the devil (brutal and unrelenting). Trust me. Watch these 3 in that order and review them. I have no doubt Ronin will lap it up, but I have faith that Jay3 will appreciate them too. Welcome to the Asian cinema rabbit hole...
@@RoninJoegenji0085 Yeah, not surprised. You have a mature and cultured way of looking at cinema. On the Japanese front, im sure you would know Beat Tekashi and Takashi Miike? Both directors/artists of the highest order... Nevermind the OG Akira Kurosawa 👍🥋
I saw the devil and The Man From Nowhere are excellent. A Bittersweet Life is a rare one powerful film. Funny you mentioned I Saw The Devil, because I was recently talking to jay3 about how that film is a must see.
@@RoninJoegenji0085 - it's great that you can provide Jay with this type of movie guidance. You will start to see more and more the influence of Asian cinema action in Hollywood films (Iko and Byun are already appearing in Hollywood films). The simple reality is that Korean, Japan and Indonesian cinema does not have the kind of budgets that Hollywood do, and so they have to focus and specialise in what they do really well... Gritty, bloody and vengence based action filled story telling. It may seem somewhat cliched over time, but when done well, never gets old. I saw the devil is one such example. Hollywood could never create or even recreate something like that, irrespective of budget. They tried to do it with Oldboy, and even had a top director and lead as cast... Yet it is no where near as good as the original.
I've been a fan of the Korean community since 2011 and i just wanted to tell yall that Netflix doesnt really have the greatest Kdramas....the real ones are not even under Netflix, its such a sad thing how kdramas blew up only in 2021 after Sweet home in 2020
The reality is for mainstream k dramas blew up as of late, but I've been watching foreign dramas since my teenage youth. I've been on board just seeking content consuming whatever I can. I see your point for those just now discovering it. It's a new age of consuming digital content. The good news is people are clearly giving the genre of kdrams a chance.
when u kept saying 2 rookies i was like bruh no the other guy aint a rookie its only the girl who is the other one been there for ages lol no where did it say he was haha
Love your background! Nice set up👍I have watched Asian dramas since 2008. Started with Japanese drama's and then kdrama's. In between there are a couple good Taiwanese or chinese drama's! I'm tired of woke stuff so I only watch asian stuff primarily now.
I like your reaction except for 12:48 laughing when she, a only just turned 16 year old girl (just turned 17 in Korean age) got sexually assaulted and it's scary that you were not able to read the room even before that and how much danger she was in with all the men there looking at her like that and allowing each other to act like that. Hearing those comments, seeing those looks is when you speak up about how wrong it is even if it's a grown woman it's directed toward but definitely when it's a little girl who just turned 16. Laughing even though it's just a scene in a series diminishes how serious and dangerous and wrong the situation is.
Firstly, thank you for tuning in. Secondly, I'm puzzled how sexual assault and laughter got intertwined. The laughter stemmed from highlighting the absurdity of certain men's behavior around women, not from trivializing assault itself.
I loved this series saw it 1 day She is A Beast / next check out Maria on netflix Philippine movie another revenge flick but female lead is Bad I mean martial arts Bad

Same, but I kept going and now I’m glad I watched it all. The last three episodes were fucking awesome! After episode 5 shit gets wild 😜 I finished watching it at 2-3am, it was that good! You should give it a second chance.
I think it held up through those episodes still. I mean not all the episodes needa be action heavy with fight scenes, episode 3 and 4 still had sum great emotion and story-telling. The entire show from episode 1 to it’s final episode is an emotional twist, the soundtrack fire and the choreography is insanely good.

when yall gonna react to the next episode?(
The man who plays her father is a really good actor. He doesn't get big roles, but they are always pivotal.
Found this show yesterday, watched all of it in one sitting, this is really really good.
