Yes many of them do. Too bad if you're born into the religion, you're never allowed to pursue those talents to your maximum potential.

+KudukUngol its not true bro.we just choose not 2 pursue fame bcos it will affect our preaching work n besides we never can tell what danger it might bring 2 our worhip 2 Jehovah God

Edejoro Oguname It's not a choice when it is DRILLED into you your whole life that any pursuits that might bring fame/money are wrong. Did you not attend the RC this summer? Little Sergei at 8 years old was not allowed to go to the conservatory to improve his violin playing. EIGHT YEARS OLD! HIs father made that choice for him. JW parents are being taught to deny their children these opportunities. The children HAVE NO CHOICE. Yet when the Society needed music for one of their drama parts they turned to the "world." Hypocrites.
It's not just entertainment. Any career which might require lots of schooling like doctors and lawyers is not allowed. But I don't see JWs refusing to go to the doctor when they get sick, and the governing body sure does make use of "evil, worldly" lawyers for all the legal troubles they get into (and there are MANY). It's a hypocritical religion which takes from the world what it wants while condemning it at the same time. Hypocrites.

KudukUngol i dont agree with u bro because we r not forced 2 being a JW, its our choice. If any wants 2 b anyhting else, its their choice but when making such choice, we put Jehovah 1st n it helps in making d right decision.

Edejoro Oguname Children are HEAVILY COERCED into baptism. It is NOT a decision they make on their own. Tony Morris III tells parents to deny driver's licenses to their unbaptized children. You don't want to get baptized? Well, no driver's license for you! Children are getting baptized at younger and younger ages. My niece was barely 10! She wasn't old enough to drive, get a job, or get married but at 10 she's "mature" enough to enter into a LIFE-LONG contract with Watchtower? She was still playing with DOLLS! Give me a break. Even Jesus waited until his 30s!
When these kids grow up and decide they no longer want to be a JW, they can't leave without risk of their friends and family shunning them (the GB instructs JWs to shun those who leave). This is why the Watchtower loves to see kids getting baptized. Get them while they're young and ignorant and they are trapped for life.

I got so nauseous when I discovered he was a Jehovah's Witness. I'm glad he's still singing, though. 😷
