Thank you so much for highlighting this movie and its beautiful tonal inconsistency :P No but seriously, the way you cycled back and forth between the bubbly, usually-used-for-filler musical number scenes and the totally intense outrunning-the-loan-shark scenes just completely captured the essence of the movie...in less than 4 minutes. That's pretty awesome, considering how most of the time, I find that you have to choose between the zany side of this movie and the sincere one. But you managed to get both in one video, congrats on that accomplishment!

O.O That's some badass song right there,I absolutely love it and I'm completely stunned with the way you made it fit so perfectly with the movie,showing the absolutely stunning setting of the story and dark side of the modern world.I must admit that I'm amazed with the way you matched each scene so skillfully & flawlessly to every lyric,especially showing scenes that never get used in animashes but deserve far more attention.On top of that,your idea of adding in typography into the clips,at cool places like around shoulders or as signs is absolutely dope & unique.It feels like as if the text was already there,I really like the graffitti font,adds in the necessary street art roughness.You switched between colour & greyscale so smoothly,that the whole video had epic flow.This method really brought out the scenes with powerful emotions like love or fear from the ones that showed the coolness of the city.Colouring was absolutely beautiful & cool,I adore the roughness & high contrasts,how the posterizing adds a rough edge & emphasizes the incredible palette of the city.This amv reminded me of the old ones,when the meaning & the movie was in focus,on top of the game.Thank you so much for showing us a truly inspiring perspective of this movie,definitely I will add this to my inspirations.

This is fucking amazing. I love the combination of fun and dark clips, with clean cuts between them, it brought out the exciting and dangerous sides of New York! And how it starts out black and white and then explodes in beautiful color, really unique and jaw dropping! And very cool typography as well! It fits the song perfectly, just...I can't even say things of comments ashdfujkdjfvduks LOVED IT

YAYYY! It's uploaded. Usually I would feel kinda awkward leaving a comment at this time, cuz, you know... you're pretty much right there. :l - BUT you worked so hard on this and I'm pretty excited about it, SOOO, yeah. First and foremost: GODDD, it's so nice to see Oliver and Company used in a more unique way. Dodger & friends have been stuck with the backup dancer gig for wayyy too long now and it's so nice to see the movie being used in more creative ways again. This whole video is pretty much a creative little wonder in itself, you don't see many videos like this regardless of footage. I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda skeptical to the typography when I first saw you working on it, for like... half a second. Then I saw how it looked on the clip and I was like "Oooo". While not really readable I think it adds a very aesthetically pleasing touch to the whole thing and it definitely contributed to the "roughness" of the video, if you know what I'm saying? Besides, you don't see that kind of font used too often, so that alone was kind of a breath of fresh air. And the coloring... *-* - Like I said earlier today, I think it's one of the best you've done, period. Also, I appreciate how even though the colors are trippy as fuck, the video still feels "clean", and you know how much of a neato-freako I am, sooo... much appreciated, yes. Much appreciated. :3 Man, as for clips though, I feel like it is pretty straight forward as far as criticism goes. The whole video does a pretty good job of conveying the whole "concrete jungle" thing that New York has going (I know you personally told me that but I would have figured it out myself too... I promise. u.u). I love how the clips often contrast each other, jumping back and forth from darker parts of the movie to the more light-hearted parts. I think my favorite part is the very beginning, and every part after where it goes from bordered to full screen. XD - Maybe I'm just easily amused but I'm still as impressed now as when you first showed me that. Also, did you slip me a little something something or did you do anything to make the grayscale clips look 3D-ish?? I swear they look kinda 3D-ish. My OTHER favorite part is probably the segment around 2:35-ish, where the clips get all weird and blurry. Man, this segment of my comment though was supposed to praise your clip choice and I totally got back to praising your effects again, my bad.... but they were so good. Sorry but not really sorry cuz it's your fault for being good at stuff. :l When I clicked on this though I immediately entered the internal movement hype train (choo choo), Is it still cool to get excited about that even though all my friends do it now? Doesn't matter, I got excited. It gives a nice tickle in my spine. ALSO the clip of the camera moving, it seems so eerie to me in like a really weird way, I can't explain it. I love how you used that though, I think I forgot that thing even existed. I feel like we're in a "Kitty Renaissance" right now, all these good quality videos (in both production and literally quality) coming out in short spans of time xD This is certainly your most aesthetically pleasing video to date, and I can TELL you like it because it shows in the final product. MAAAN. Love the animal print and the NEWS PRINT and the GREEN YOUR FAVORITE COLOR LOL BUT YOU NAILED IT. All the pop of color really. Looks fabulous. Initially I thought it was a little too "trippy" for this rock star kind of song, but in the end I think it struck the right kind of intensity. 1:24 to 2:06 by far my favorite segment, particularly because I knew what it looked like before. You cleaned it up sooooooooooooo well I was so happy!!! Excellent montage editing. The entire second half of the video really is just ace. Guh.
