I'm so glad you had the chance to hear Bill Withers. He is a class act. This song came out in 1972, the year I came back to the states from Germany. My son was 10 years old then - he's now a grandfather several times over. Bill Withers died Mar 2020 at the age of 81. A true gentleman.

I used to have this cheap little keyboard I got from the secondhand store. It was a small type of instrument. But since I have this song in my music collection, one day I sat down and worked out the melody to it. It’s very simple but works.

I live on Madison Avenue in Paterson, NJ and I'm about 4 block's away from Eastside Highschool, this great song led to great discipline and respect from very dangerous student's to respect bullying, drug dealing and respecting teacher's and get a Degree !!!!!
