আমাদের এলাকায় আমমার দেখা এক মুক্তি যুদ্ধার ৭ ছেলে ৭ জনই সরকারি চাকরি করে, আর এক মুক্তি যুদ্ধার তার ৫ সন্তানে ৪জনই সরকারি চাকরি করে,, তাহলে সারা বাংলা দেশে আরোতো এমন অনেকেই আছে,
টাকা দিলে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের কোটা লাগবে কেনো। আবেদআলী কোটা তো বেটার
তারা আওয়ামী চশমা পরছে তাই তারা দেখে না

The people of East Pakistan did not understand the agenda of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before the 1971 election which led to the war of “liberation”. Mujib always wanted to become a dictator. Mujib personally did not take part in the war. He preferred to surrender to the Pakistan army to save his life while hundreds of thousands got killed by the Pakistan army. He was released by the Pakistan army in 1972 and returned to Bangladesh to assume power. Within a few months, his corruption and dictatorial ways gave rise to serious opposition. He held the first national election in 1973 and rigged the entire process so no opposition candidate could get elected. He went after the opposition with his newly formed private army named Rokki Bahini and killed over 40,000 which included many innocent people. His corruption and erratic administration caused famine in 1974-75 which caused the death of an estimated 1.5 million people. That was not enough for him, in 1975 he declared a one-party state BAKSAL and assumed all power as President for life until a section of the army revolted and killed him on 15 August 1975. That was Mujib, the father’s legacy. It is a pity that the people of Bangladesh still consider Mujib as the “Father of the Nation” even after experiencing the murderous behaviour of Hasina, the daughter.
