Hi, I am planning to buy the Panasonic MZ 800 55" inch. Is this a good choice? I have now a 46" inch Panasonic 2010 !!!!!!!!!. Model TX-P46 G20. It's still working !!. NO problems at all with the screen. BTW: I live in the Netherlands, Europe. Glenn 🇳🇱
Thanks for your feedback Glenn, our channel is based in New Zealand so there may be some small feature differences between our regional models and the ones available to you in the Netherlands. One thing that will definitely be the same is the picture quality which is fantastic as it should be on a Panasonic. I (Bruce) still have a 46" GT30 Plasma that a family member uses full time so I absolutely stand Panasonic quality.
@@PanaStudioNZ Hi Chris, Nice to hear a family member has the Panasonic GT 30 Plasma. You are right; The picture quality of Panasonic is always fantastic. Buy now the Panasonic MZ 800 55" is available in the Netherlands, Europe. But there is an other TV. The LG G3 Evo. I know Panasonic has excellent picture quality, but I think this time I will go for the LG G3 Evo 55". Price €1445 Euros. in the Netherlands. 55" ? I don't have no more space on the wall. Have a nice Sunday in New Zealand. Regards, Glenn 🇳🇱
As a normal consumer who just watches the odd movie and occasional game, don't really watch tv during the day so brightness isn't a huge deal for me, would I be able to notice a difference between the 980 and 1500? They are very similar priced at the moment can you give a little more detail as to what the real world differences are?
The answer is really subjective, as everyone has different living room set up and needs. If you subscribe to more than 1x streaming service then I would recommend getting the premium model. Placing both TV's side by side in our studio the difference is very clear with the MZ1500 showing brighter picture with more contrast vs MZ980. It also has the swivel base which the MZ980 doesn't have.
Hi Robbie, you are correct. Different regions around the world can have different specifications. This is why the regions have differing suffix and prefix numbers. For the 2023-24 range of this series in NZ, we opted to have a clean bezel finish without the speaker bar along the front however we can confirm that the same speaker assortment exists with 50 W (15 W x 2 + 20 W) 2ch + Mono Woofer w/Passive Radiator x 2 installed facing downwards vs front facing behind the bar.
MZ series TV's will be harder to find now they have been replaced by 2024 models but the extra specifications the MZ2000 had was Micro Lens Array panel which is brighter.
MZ1500 is a HUGE upgrade from Plasma if you've been waiting! OLED has those deep blacks & High refresh rate Plasma's were known for but MUCH MUCH brighter with less energy consumption and wider viewing angles (Great for open plan living) MZ1500 is perfect if you have an existing home theatre system or want to build your sound separately where as the MZ2000 gives you awesome sound built in + MLA if you're looking at 55" or 65"
Hey, would like some advice if you can. Im torn between the MZ2000 (55inch) and the MZ1500 (65 inch) Is the MLA panel worth the smaller screen? (Im coming from a much older Panasonic 58 inch from 2016) Will the size difference matter? Since im used to 58? Or is rhe MLA panel beyond incredible? Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The best advice I can give would be to look at both models in store. MLA makes a bigger impact if you watch a lot of HDR content as there is much more light available in the panel to give you better detail in the shadows & highlights. The real deal breaker for me would be the 7.1 Sound system tuned by Technics... there is a significant difference in sound quality with the MZ2000. Good luck & hope this helps
MZ1500 has 2CH speakers with built in Woofer at the back for extra bass where as MZ2000 has additional side & top firing speakers + built in full array sound bar with controllable sound staging. Woofer is located in the middle/back of the TV (under cover) Essentially the MZ1500 is the more appropriate choice for people who want to build their own home theatre system with either Hifi or soundbar where as the MZ2000 is the perfect all in 1 solution for someone who wants everything to sound and look AWESOME straight out of the box. The other advantage of the MZ2000 over the MZ1500 is the picture is 50% brighter with Micro Lens Array panel on top of the OLED panel so if you compare side by side you will notice even more detail in shadows & it allows for greater dynamic range.
@@micheled6819 for the 77" MZ2000 the OLED panel is the same as last years 77" LZ2000 but MZ model does get the improvements for the Game Control Dashboard & Sound features. Only the 55" & 65" MZ2000 have the OLED Ultimate panel (MLA technology)
Hi Christian, the differences between last years LZ1500 & this years MZ1500 are as below: OLED Panel & Picture Quality - No Change Sound - MZ1500 has improved bass response with additional bass woofer built in & improvements to Auto AI Sound mode with additional sound staging options. Gaming - GSync support & additional features in Game Control Dashboard
