If you're trying to make the tallest avatar, you actually don't want to turn Proportions up at all, because it actually makes your character shorter. What it actually does is make your proportions appear slimmer, with slightly skinnier limbs, a smaller upper torso, as well as a very slightly smaller head, on top of the overall height being shortened as well. Also keep in mind the Proportions slider makes no difference if Body Type is set to 0%.
