Love the comical French clips you throw in your videos. “One eternity later” is so true. Life sometimes gets in the way of things you enjoy to do. So true.
I was thinking that as well but then remembered Chris saying that the passenger rear slapped a wall while racing thus causing the damage back there, it also likely blew out the bulb in that corner. Honestly surprised the brake lights still work too after a hit like that. I'm sure he'll address those minor issues as he gets through the repairs on this Z. Really turning this beauty into a gem once again.
A credit to your talent. Few better feelings that going so deep on such a fine car and reaping the just reward. Not much you can't do is the lesson. I personally like the car stock but I worked at Chevy engineering and feel it left the factory properly. Congrats Chris. Can't wait to hear it at full song after tune and break in. Just love the C6 Z06.
Hi, Phil here. Been watching you since I caught the 1st video you were doing the CTSV as I have an '11 V and love the work did bringing it back to life. You probably caught it...but if you didn't your passenger side back up light was out when you backed the Corvette out of the lift bay of your garage. I also had a 2015 Corvette and loved watching you take apart the ZO6. Great methodical job building your ZO6. Can never get tired of the sound coming from your car. Looking forward to videos to come on the finish.
Anybody can buy a new car however a great car like this that you've rescued and improved greatly is just a great accomplishment!!! Great work Chris, thank you for taking us along!
Well, just like he said, the C7 Z06, the next and last front engine Vette has better lines than the C6. It moved the 😅styling way ahead interior and exterior, rear end taillights updated and gave it 150 more super charged horsepower/180 torque and has magnetic ride adjustable suspension. It came in 7 speed manual or 8spd auto paddle shifting and If this C6 is classic bound, no doubt, then the C7 will ever more be also. It’s all good. Most street fun is between 40-120 mph anyways and C6-C7 Z06 Corvettes are very good values for the money.
Mine is running, but is just about to come apart for the 2023 upgrade season. Swapping a MSD Atomic and NW102 for a LME Billet manifold and NW112 throttle body (among other things).
Yes that cam and heads make a very unusual streetcar sound every 8 cyl.American muscle wants!!! Sounds like a nitro funny cay at the starting line idling ......How did you do it ??? JP
Chris, I've been really enjoying your series on the "Cheap Z" and all you've been doing to her to get back to running and driving. Looking forward to your next vid on the old girl. Keep'em comin' my good man.
I started watching your channel when you did the sonic blue Terminator build. I must say i admire your passion for working on cars. This video popped up and I had to watch, like always amazing work and attention to detail, the CC6Z is my bucket list car, getting ready to review a couple of your old C6Z videos. keep them coming sir.
I really learn a heck of a lot from your videos. I’m fairly new to your channel but I’ve watched at least 6 cars you’ve done. Thanks for all the great content Chris
Sweet! My dream car. Been looking for one for over a year now. I'm sure everyone knows the current car prices are insane, I refuse to pay them so I'm ZO6less. Lol
Hey! Love the content on the channel! It's the fellow ME here. Kinda off topic but any post college tips on what to focus on as an ME? ie cad/coding/mechanics/thermodynamics?
Great work! She needs a good wash and she will be looking perfect and scrub those wheel wells! So jealous of your garage, I'd love to have one like that to work on my 2011 GS.
I picked up an 08 Z06 in Pennsylvania 13 months ago. Only had 6,008 miles on the thing. My 6th Vette, and OH what a grin the LS7 with the manual transmission can "automatically " put on your face!
Love your channel! The videos move along like HP TV and the long shots remind me of Top Gear. I’ve watched a lot of your vids. Keep up the excellent work!
You have too many Z06's now. I would like to help you with that problem...lol. What a transformation, sounds incredible. Can't wait for the next video on this car!
Is this house at the end of the video abandoned? I've seen you use the same place many times before & it looks to be a pretty cool looking old place. Congrats on getting ole red on the road, your excitement was clear with the air punching as you got out of the car. Real car guy reaction right there! Completely enjoy every video you drop buddy. You keep making content and I'll keep watching & liking them.
Congratulations on your hard work - it has really paid off. Nice to see C6 content. C5’s are very common due to low entry price. Your skill set and attention to detail is incredible.
13:30 I had a Merc E63S that was like that. In the winter is would take 15-20 minutes to get the oil above 150 degrees. It was frustrating as every short drive was very uneventful as the oil would not reach proper temp during that drive.
I deleted my oil cooler and didn’t really miss it until I did some spirited driving in the heat and got caught in traffic in the heat. That oil cooler really helps control temps. I reinstalled the cooler and now run an Improved Racing oil cooler thermostat. It allows my car to get heat in the engine without sacrificing the benefits of the oil cooler.
That's a great solution. That was my plan if I started getting oil Temps too high but where I live i just dont. I think the highest I've seen is 232F in the heat of July with some spirited driving
Great!!! Good work!!! I wish I can do things like what you been doing. I don’t mind working with you as a helper even without pay as long I will learn... Thanks...
If this channel doesn't explode in 2023 someone at RUclips better get written up. Love the content so far Chris!
Trust yt algorithm he’s gonna be along Cleetus and Adam lz I’m sure of it

Love the comical French clips you throw in your videos. “One eternity later” is so true. Life sometimes gets in the way of things you enjoy to do. So true.
Passenger reverse light is out. Wow, what a transformation. Beautiful Z and well done. Can't wait to see it fully detailed and back on the road again.
I was thinking that as well but then remembered Chris saying that the passenger rear slapped a wall while racing thus causing the damage back there, it also likely blew out the bulb in that corner. might as well replace with LED reverse lights makes any 2000s car look brand new. They look so good on cars with those ugly beige reverse lights
That cam sounds like opera music - oh so beautiful 😁
top tier , best custom car yt creator
Great.....now I want a C6 Z06. Thanks a lot, pal!
Great end zone celebration at 20:38! Got a Love it when a plan comes together! Thanks for sharing!

The c7 Z06 is a future classic no doubt.
This is a c6 tho so not sure where that came from lol

Wouldn't change a thing on that car. That freakn cam sounds good!

Nice job bringing that hot rod back to life.
Fantastic mechanic great looking c6 man
Hey! Love the content on the channel! It's the fellow ME here. Kinda off topic but any post college tips on what to focus on as an ME? ie cad/coding/mechanics/thermodynamics?
the seats in great shape are a good indicator that it was well loved, and the previous owner was mindful every time he got in and out of the car
It’s got really low mileage if I remember he said it was only like 30k on it
@@bharles4479 I didn't say it was low mileage. My comment is about the interior being in good shape despite it having 30k miles
@@tylercouture216 despite it having 30k? I’d expect nothing less with only 30k
@@tylercouture216 30k is low mileage. The interior is nice. Hence why I said it’s low mileage. Those correlate
@@bharles4479 ok guy what is the lesson you so desperately want to teach me?

Really looks sharp now!! Red is always a great color, and I had a C6 in red, and it was a richer color than the torch red, that has the orange look
Love your channel! The videos move along like HP TV and the long shots remind me of Top Gear. I’ve watched a lot of your vids. Keep up the excellent work!
You do great work! Keep on keeping on👍
You have too many Z06's now. I would like to help you with that problem...lol. What a transformation, sounds incredible. Can't wait for the next video on this car!
