Seems to me that HP is not that smart. I had this printer installed for two years until a week ago the router was replaced, then we noticed a lot of apparatus are off the ip range, as this was done before. So, short story long (or the other way around) it was helpfull to know that the printer first needed to be reset using the wifi button pressed for 20 seconds and released when alert and power starts blinking. Then your video worked, the instructions I mean. Thanks for helping out.
Same here- we have switched the router & printer did not work anymore. The trick for us was to do the reset by pressing the WiFi button for 20 seconds, but the printer was not showing up in the HP Smart App. We were then using a different device for the WIFi Set-Up via Smart App (Mac instead of Iphone). Deinstalling the HP Smart App might have also worked on our first device though... Thanks for your helpful comment :)
thanks for the video, but many people like me cannot install HP smart app and other apps as well, because of the well known error - your device is not compatible with this app, on Google play store, this is a problem with Google play store on Android devices. I'm sure my phone is compatible.
Go to play store on your device and search and download HP SMART APP to device , then start to search for available printer and connect your printer to WIFI network

I've been desparately looking for instructions that DON'T rely on HP's bloatware to connect the printer. Can someone help me? Using only Windows' native "Devices and Printers" menu. The sequence of actions is very obscure with this printer, I can't make it work. Why does it emit a Wi-fi network of its own?
Swich your printer on then go to 1. Select Window start, then go to the window setting then go to Bluetooth and Devices 2. then go to printers and scanners, 3. then select add a device on the top right 4. It would start to look for available device to add to your window
@@Vinneltv Thanks for the reply! I will share my personal experience. The awkward part comes after adding the printer to the "printers and devices": 1) Standalone drivers can be downloaded from the HP website and need to be installed beforehand. Despite what it says, they're not just drivers, they come with a Dell UI! 2) the wifi LED on the printer needs to be blinking but for that the power button needs to be held for an astounding 20 seconds! 3) After the printer gets installed sometimes it displays a list of wifi networks to choose from (not on all my PCs!). On *some* PCs the printer refuses to connect of the PC is on the 5GHz home wifi, it needs to be on the 2.4GHz one. Super weird,
The printer is not in a wireless mode, which is why it could not find the printer , put printer in Wireless mode by pressing WiFi and cancel button together for 3 seconds. If you already connected the printer to WiFi, then you need select to connect Printer already on the WiFi network .
I have IT experience and connecting the 150nw to the WIFI/WLAN can be quite a challenge! What I discovered today: If the printer has been connected to a WLAN before you have to RESET everything first. Otherwise the printer will not be found by any HP-Software. To reset the device hold the WLAN-Button for about 20!!! secs. Then the red "!" sign appears on the printers-display. Now the printer will be found by HP Sofware (PC & mobile App). Once connected to the PC I was not able to connect to the 150NW on my mobile! Printer not found!!! So I started the whole process three times a least (reset) ... because after the reset the mobile App is able to find 150nw. But in the next step it asks you to enter the password of your WIFI/WLAN. And if you are quick enough, everything will be fine! Otherwise you can start from the beginning.
Did you buy this printer new one? warning could mean so many thing, Did you connect the printer to WIFI network? did you load paper and Toner? or do you have paper jam? the warning light could mean so many thing.
Bombaklad, nice video. Legendary commentary

How do you power it off? Hold down power button?
Just press the power button down once and when it is on if you want to switch it off press the power button again it will switch off

Could not find the printer at all. I got to the bit where it said swipe to find available printers. Despite WiFi being connected it wouldn't find it.😢

How do I connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network?
Did you watch the full video?
how about connect with mobile data? Is that still work?
Connection is WIFI network or Via USB cable. You can connect with mobile date using OTG (ON THE GO CABLE and Printershare app)
where can I found the password ? my print doesn't affiche herself
The password is in the back of your network router. Unless you are connecting with WIFI Direct which you need to print the password from the printer.
