  • Just a quick look at the Crowne Plaza at Manchester Airport in the UK (MAN).
Booked a standard room for between £85 and £92 (£113 the first time I stayed, but it can go higher) and got upgraded to a club room on the 4th floor. Great price if you get it for the lower end.
This comes with lounge access (although I've got a year long lounge pass with IHG anyway, so may well have had access anyway with that).
Anyway, a quick walk to the room and a look around.
Clean, plenty of power points including USB-A and USB-C.
    Good lighting.
Views of car parks, although some rooms do let you see some aircraft after take-off. It's back a bit from the runway, so you won't get any better views (apart from the Radisson that may overlook a bit of Terminal 1 and 2)
As I said in the video, the bathrooms are small, so getting 2 people in there at once might be a challenge unless one is in the shower.
There's only 2-3" between the door and the toilet, so if someone opens the door whilst you're seated, you'll get hit by a door!
Water pressure is an issue. Whilst it's good enough to wash etc., I prefer it to be stronger and definitely hotter.
Lounge is open 24hrs a day, with alcohol being served between 6pm and 8pm. Beers and ciders, alcohol free or not, are in fridges that get unlocked at 6pm by the host. He/she provides some warm snacks such as spring rolls, cheesy bites etc. and spirits / wine.
You can help yourself to packets of salted / cheese & onion Seabrooks crisps and pretzels, as well as coffees, water, fruit juices and Pepsi / Pepsi Max at any time.
Breakfast wise, not 100% sure how this works. Lounge access seems to give you a continental breakfast in the restaurant, although no-one polices this, so what's to stop you having a self-service hot breakfast that's next to it?
I can take breakfast as a status based (diamond) amenity anyway.
I'll get some video of breakfast etc. at a later time. Sure I filmed some, but can't find it once again!
Walking wise, even with luggage, it's 5-10 mins tops from Terminal 3 (for Ryanair and British Airways etc.) or Terminal 1 for Easyjet, Emirates, Turkish etc. Add 15 mins to Terminal 2.
£3.60 for a shuttle bus, so if you've cases and are flying from T2, maybe the best option?
Few roads to cross, that range from empty to a load of cars at once. A bit twisty route wise that probably doubles the distance between A and B.
