Singapore is really pretty, a barbie looking, I love how she performed both in swimsuit and evening gown in preliminary , but her gown was really remarkable, a bit unique... At least Philippines has a co-ASEAN to made that top 16...All of them were great in casual interviews, Panama and Japan are well articulate as well..From the European region France was lovely, I love her color..
I don't know why some countries get in to the finals each year.....even they send a chiken as a delagate it will get into the top 16 or what...it become boring....i want see other countries as well....countries like....Honduras,Ecuador, Chile, Armenia, malaysia, Netherlands, Bulgaria, China, New Zealand,Israel....etc etc

I have to say I absolutely enjoyed this years Top 16. There was a different youthful vibe to them. I could immediately see that MU was going for a different vibe this year. Not that the vibes in the past were bad, just this year was different and I appreciate it.
And Steve had to remind the undoubtedly Filipino crowd who cheered for Bea Gomez that " this is Israel" ... and they never lowered their agitated voices until Steve Harvey said : HEY!... hahaha.. am a Filipino myself.. so I'm quite ashamed of the seemingly unruly behavior of my kbabayans evn in foreign countries.. Just wish it won't happen again..😭😅😅🤣
Omg Miss France 🇫🇷 come out first looking sooo gorgeous!! 💕 And then everyone else that got called came out just as gorgeous too!! 💕 Incredibly beautiful women this year! 💕
Honestly, I predicted her being placed in this year as the delegate your country sent is very strong. Why is there a change from Bahamas to The Bahamas?
Chantel O'Brian The Bahamas is so underrated here. She killed the preliminaries and final night in my opinion. Also if you research on her you'll see she is a fabulous queen a wealth of knowledge, excellent advocacy and she's an eloquent speaker. She probably killed the interview too
Totally agree!!! And she's most definitely on point about mannerism and so on and so forth... I'm sure that her accolades go further than that but mannerism is important and carrying yourself in a very good way with poise and class ,she has it..I love the way she speaks. The people that I've had an opportunity to meet from the Bahamas has been exactly that respectful ,so I agree with you.
I'm overwhelmed with joy for this year's top semi-finalists. So many representations that Miss Universe seems to lack for a while. Great job, all queens!
Proud of you harnaaz ur answers are so inspiring..... U truly deserved to be miss universe... Such an aspiring personality u have.... India is proud of u sister ⛳⛳⛳⛳⛳
Ms. Japan's reaction when her country was called is the same as when you react on a surprise oral recitation by your teacher in the classroom but you didn't prepare for it. 😁 That genuine reaction is so cute.
The 69th MU's shocking lack of diversity in it's finalists was a direct result of the stilted and narrow makeup of the selection committee. The 70th got it right by employing a wonderfully balanced panel that yielded an exceptional and the most inclusive set of delegates in MU history. MU org hit the right formula - the top 16 truly reflected the wide, rich and progressive face of universal pageantry today.
The Latin American community were getting restless that non from their region had been crowned. They had to eliminate the best girls from Africa, Europe and Asia to help their favorites win
The last time I checked the 69th edition judges were also diverse & there were only 2 Latina judges-Zuleyka Rivera from Puerto Rico & Tatyana Orozco from Colombia. Both countries didn’t even reach Top 5.. And then there was an Indian & a South Korean as well aside from the American judges.
@@AgentAO7Apparently not enough - and the semifinal results prove just that. How then does the org. explain the embarrassingly obvious preponderance towards picking Latinas in the semifinalists? If not a bias then what ? Those semifinal results were universally unpopular so the selection committee and its preferences were perceived as tone deaf. Again, the proof is in the pudding and it was not a good look for MU when inclusion through diversity is the selling point of this whole enterprise.
When the moment of India came I really felt proud ... Bcz the way Harnaaz told "Namaste" and Steve really wanted to know about it .......I am proud that our indian culture is spreading all over the world ❤️
Looking back, this is objectively one of the very few excellent groups of semifinalists in Miss Universe history. Not only that they are generally eloquent and present themselves very well, but they're very diverse - from their backgrounds to their home regions.

All the contestants were jubilant when Miss SA was called. They knew the adversity that she faced prior to her participation in MU. That was so beautiful and supportive of them.
This is the proof that Miss Universe value the closed in interviews with the candidates regardless of sash factors. Rest in Peace Cheslie Kryst 😔

I am so happy that Philippines got into top five. thank you MU Org. Congrats Steve for successfully hosting the MU pageant again. It stirred the beating of the hearts of the candidates and we also the viewers. See you in the next MU pageant Steve.
Japan is simply adorable! She truly deserved more. Nonetheless she truly gave her best.
Jamaica, Ireland, Greece and Nicaragua's reaction to Japan's reaction is amazing
Miss Singapore is so amazing, so beautiful, so humble!
Last 3 of Top 16 is the last Top 3 standing on Miss Universe 2018 Philippines, Venezuela, South Africa ❤❤❤
I noticed that too. Truly a powerhouse!
Miss Panama is amazing in every way!
Congratulationes Panamá, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico!

As soon as Steve called Philippines, the whole crowd went nuts and even some of the contestants were smiling due to crowds reaction 😄😄

Anyone else finally happy to see The Bahamas place? We've deserved this moment since forever.
Yesssss! She deserved it!!!
Yes I’m happy too
The Bahamas congratulations 🎉🥳
Lot's of love from India 🇮🇳
Honestly, I predicted her being placed in this year as the delegate your country sent is very strong. Why is there a change from Bahamas to The Bahamas?
I got her in my top since the begining 🥰, Much love from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Chantel O'Brian The Bahamas is so underrated here. She killed the preliminaries and final night in my opinion. Also if you research on her you'll see she is a fabulous queen a wealth of knowledge, excellent advocacy and she's an eloquent speaker. She probably killed the interview too
I agree
I was very impressed by Chantel O'Brian! I hope she returns and gets crowned queen.
So sweet this girl. Beautiful soul and well spoken. She really deserved to be in the semis.
i agree! the way she spoke, perfection! the confidence, present. i believe she deserve higher placement.
Feeling really proud to see Ms. India in Top 3. All the 3 ladies were outstanding....but Harnaz rocked the floor.....congratulations all the Indians🇮🇳
Love Miss Aruba's answer!!! She certainly made Steve Harvey laugh & the audience and me, too!!!
Congrats to India winning the Miss Universe title... what a true beauty inside and out ! so deserving of this title... love from USA !

@@eltucuyo518 The what?
The 69th MU's shocking lack of diversity in it's finalists was a direct result of the stilted and narrow makeup of the selection committee. The 70th got it right by employing a wonderfully balanced panel that yielded an exceptional and the most inclusive set of delegates in MU history. MU org hit the right formula - the top 16 truly reflected the wide, rich and progressive face of universal pageantry today.
100% right, glad to see MU diversified their judges after the awful 69th edition. I hope they continue on that path because 70th edition was great
The Latin American community were getting restless that non from their region had been crowned. They had to eliminate the best girls from Africa, Europe and Asia to help their favorites win
Yes.. Oh God I just wanted to forget the 69th edition so bad and 70th edition did that.
Aruba's reaction was hilarious...and I loved her response to Steve's question.
Thank you in name of Aruba. ❤
When the moment of India came I really felt proud ...

Looking back, this is objectively one of the very few excellent groups of semifinalists in Miss Universe history. Not only that they are generally eloquent and present themselves very well, but they're very diverse - from their backgrounds to their home regions.
