@16:49, LOL! @johnswoodenships, your reaction was PRICELESS! It’s nice to see I’m not the only person dropping stuff. When my wife and I finish our maker space, I think I’m going to push for a hard floor. Makes it easier to find tiny dropped objects with a flashlight. Better than combing the carpet.
@@JohnsWoodenShips They can bounce further than you think as well on carpet! (Model train parts etc) Grey is the worst carpet colour for finding things as well. guess what colour my carpet is?????
@@alanwhite6293 I will take a wild guess, is it Grey????? And you are right, without the carpet they travel long distances. I have a 90% recovery rate 😀
Ross , Alan , John, for this reason I use a Apron with a little Velcro on the corner attached to my bench that catches everything I drop and keeps me off my hands and knees
John, your lanterns are the best I have ever seen. It’s great to see scratch/custom building for a change because there is none on Y/T this is the only Chanel I have found. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for uploading this video! This is amazing! Your lantern is unique and perfect for miniatures scales. I like it! All the videos I have seeing are 3D printed lanterns and people painting them.❤❤
I am glad that you like it! I have tried to find a lantern to fit my scales and i wasn't able to. So i decided to make it on my own. By the 3rd attempt i had it! I am also going to paint them and i am thinking in copper color :)
Thank you very much!!! Since it will take me a few months to use one, cause my next ship has no sails, i would love to see some photos when you use them :)

Yes the carpet won't help , you never hear when they drop and you can't find them after :)

Nice job on the lanterns John. I'm going to add some to the USS Constitution Cross Section from Model Shipways that I'm building.
