- This is my first custom Go Kart build! I'm going to be using a 16HP electric start predator engine, live axle, custom tires and wheels, seats, paint and more! Follow along!
Bentley I’ve got to give you a 10 out of 10 on the delete of the old rear tires. Going to give you a 11 out of 10 on engine size because it’s way too big in other words PERFECT…and as long as you keep your dad away from the battery for your electric start, you’ll probably be OK. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Oh, I suspect the new battery will have a "Go" handle on it. Just a hunch.
A guy gets the feeling that the Bieri battery curse will pass on to at least one of Derek’s little humans, and Ben seems likely enough. 🤣😰😉
@@vincedibona4687 ,I’ve heard it skips a generation…but I’ve been wrong before!
I think it needs a big battery and alternator that way it can be used to jump start all the rigs with dead batt-trees
Bentley you're awesome, keep it up little dude. Derek you are such an all around great man. Those kids are going to have a wonderful life. I wish your family nothing but the best. Thank you all for everything all of you do for us.
I agreee!!!
I love it man
You're going to have to slot the engine bolts or put a new engine plate on it
Paint that thing black or blue👍🏻
Bentley you rock like your Pop, nothing is too challenging if you're a Bieri!!
This young man is and will be way ahead of kids twice his age, there's no greater way to learn than by hands-on... way to go, Dad!
Orange little man .. be awesome a sweet dad. Wish I had a dad like him. You’re fortunate. I cry all the way through this . You don’t know how fortunate you are buddy
Derek you sir are by far one of the greatest dads I have ever had to witness of seeing honestly you have so much going on and you still find time to hold the camera for your kid and help him do what he wants and then you show him how to do it which is amazing to me
👍
Things gonna be a ripper might get a reduction unit to make that axle really spin
Did my heart good to see Bentley want to dive into his own gig -- kudos to Mom and Dad for encouraging him, guiding him, and leading him toward this project. It's gonna turn out great, Bentley!
Just found this channel and couldn’t be happier about it
Bently it really shows that all the times I've watched your dad, you were there most of the time helping him. You have learned alot from him. You are a chip off the old block. Proud of you!
This reminds me of fixing a two seater my boys had, when they were little dudes. Get some plywood for a new bottom and seat back, drill some holes and add T-nuts to attach. “Dan Dan the interior man” should be able to whip up a cover out of some vinyl. Also add new covers for head/helmet pads. Then head out and make some memories! Great job Bentley! Anybody else feel Derick’s pride and smile without seeing it on camera? Maybe find a rear end with a swing arm with some shocks and bigger atv tires for the dirt. May need a CVT belt clutch with that bigger engine. Looking forward to updates.
Can I point out that this Awesome small human called Bailey has 168,000 thousand views on this one video alone. Bailey is a very clever person who deserves all the support we can give a young guy. Great work Bailey. 👍
I love watching LGG and Bentley. It gives me joy to see a young man involved in the hobby. He's learning useful skills for the rest of his life. So much better than playing Nintendo all day. Derek and Jessica be proud of yourselves!
I’ll be dipped! A Little Grip episode before Christmas! Outstanding job. I love that little man does the work, he ain’t afraid of it, and he is showing that he has skills. Looking forward to seeing this come together.
All your kids are good kids from what i can tell from your videos Derek but this one here just seems to have what it takes to be a car guy one day!! I usually cant watch these kids on youtube working and explaining things because it just feels forced or like they are just saying and doing what the mom or dad wants them to say. I can honestly say that i like watching this channel and his videos because he really seems to care about what he is doing and has a real feel of wanting to learn from helping and watching you! Mom and Dad are raising these boys right is what im saying, good job
I've always seen Bentley helping whenever he can, like on the recent tractor video, he dragged that old thing for what could be more then 4 hours just to help his dad, and that's just one instance.
Both of Derek's sons have always had an undying determination to work on cars and help people who need it, they did a great job raising them up.
Don't forget about the third son he is part of the family 💙 too
Posi-trak rear end! Dually wheels and Candy Apple Red paint job!
Okay maybe just the paint job.
Looking forward to this series!
My vote is: Paint it RED! This cart will be a rocket ship when you get all the customizing complete. I’m looking forward to your next episode.
It's so awesome that so many of you donated funds to all 3 of Derek and Jessica's little humans. Bentley has obviously gotten his natural on-camera presence from the old man. Jessica helped out too. :) Good job Bentley! Can't wait for episode two!!!!
I'm 59 and this was me at that age minus the RUclips exposure and my Dad's money. It was city dump and junkyard cruising and visiting the scrapyard for frames and materials back in the day and making it work. Keep up the good work kid. It'll lead somewhere. Paint it BRIGHT RED.
What a fantastic way to spend some time with your son. A couple years ago I rebuilt a go-kart from the ground up with my son as well, and he still talks about it so all his friends and everybody. The lessons they learn from it are fantastic life skills. Great job Bentley I can't wait to see it when it gets done, and Derek he is a spitting image of you.
Great work Bentley, this thing will be like a rocket with 16hp. Really looking forward to seeing you work out and fabricate the rear end.
Massive respect to your Dad for taking time out of his busy life to film you too, your Dads the best. I wish my now grown up boys had got into automotive fun like you.
I don't know about yall but Derek's littlest human that he's responsible for hits a feller in the feels watching him with his dad. This is how I was even as a grown man with my dad. Love your content Little Dude
Love seeing son and dad time. Takes me back a lot of years. I’m a candy apple red with metal flake guy.
It’s great to see a young fellow working in the garage and learning some mechanical abilities and discovering new horizons. So many young people know nothing but computers. Great job mom and dad!
This brings back memories when my dad and I built my first mini bike. I'm now 58 y/o and have been in the automotive industry for over 40 years. I can not get enough of both you guys and your videos. I sure would love to meet your dad and hang out with him and talk shop and swap stories. Keep up the good work kiddo!
It is amazing how Derek is passing on the passion for wrenching on things with engines. Derek has Independence Chevelle and Bentley should paint his little rocket red white and blue too. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see how she turns out
“So I was thinking about it we’re just gonna cut this out” I love it!!!! Next it’ll be “get the gas ax”. It’s awesome to see other youngsters coming up the right way….
Great to see another little grip video. Brently, enjoy the time you spend doing these things with your dad. You will remember these days fondly.
Great video Bentley! I can’t wait to see what other progress you make on the go kart! looks like you guys will be doing a little fabricating on the rear frame.
Can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this. Bentley is doing a great job and Derek it’s so great that you make time in your busy schedule to help him out.
Bentley, I love your videos. You have a great voice and you do a great job of narrating so the viewer knows what’s going on and can see what you’re doing. It’s like being there.
You have a great personality and I admire that you are getting something a little beat up and putting in the time and work to “bring ‘er around.” Goes to show what a guy can do with a good pair of work boots, the right tools, and a good attitude.
Can’t wait for more.
Great job Bentley! This is exactly how started learning about engines and other parts of vehicles. My dad helped me rebuild my old dirt bikes when I was your age. By the time I was 12 I could tear a whole bike and engine down and repair it. By the time I was driving dad was helping rebuild my old ‘72 Chevelle. I got pretty good a keep her running to the point I found another Chevelle that was wrecked in the rear end but had a great engine, front fenders and doors and was even the same color. We swapped all the good parts onto my car. Great learning experience. 45 years later I can fix most anything thanks to Dad. I know you are learning from your Dad just like I did. Enjoy many years to come doing this stuff with Dad.
If there was RUclips 30 years ago this would be Derek! Spitting image of his daddy. I think this is awesome!
It’s hard to imagine anything in the world better than father/son projects. Very cool buddy, I’ll check in on this build from time to time.
Good job Bentley. It is nice seeing a young man turning wrenches on his own go cart like I did with my Dad when I was a kid.
Good to see you taking after your dad.
He is the perfect kind of guy to learn everything from. Bravo!!!
You are doing an awesome thing with your son, he is learning the ins and outs of the business at a young age. The time that you spend with him and the others they will cherish their whole life!
Bentley, what a great project you have there. And bought it with your own money...very cool! I can't wait for the next episodes to see it all come together. Be safe!
Derek, You're a great Dad, raising your boys right. Both of you keep on keepin' on. Be safe!
Great job so far guys! I look forward to following along with you on this project. Little man is sure learning a lot hanging out with dad. Thanks for bringing us along and see you in the next video.
Bentley would definitely be the kind of friend I would've had in the 70s. Smart, good at explaining things, and just chill! Merry Christmas to you guys' entire family!
This is the first time I watched Little Grip Garage. So cool to see the little human is following a feller’s footsteps!! I’m definitely sharing this with my little human!!!!
Great Job Bently, maybe paint it chevy orange? Black rollbar. No matter what color ya pick will be awesome, keep up the great work little guy!!
Bentley, I've really been enjoying all your project videos. You are one sharp dude. And SuperDad Derek, you are an inspiration for taking the time from all you do already to help out and encourage him.
You've made some good progress Bentley. From what you've showed us so far, it looks like she'll be a ripper for sure! Good job! 👍
This is going to be an awesome project! Looking forward to part 2!
Bentley is by far the coolest kid on planet earth. A young lad with work ethic, work boots, and a bangin mullet. Thumbs up little man keep it up!!!
Derek, God bless that boy. I love him. You are one hell of a Dad! I never had kids and you have made me second guess that ever time I see Bentley on the channel. I’m right down the road from you guys. I sure hope I get to meet you someday.
It makes my heart happy to see you following in your dad's footsteps! I had no idea you were doing your own thing, I was browsing you tube and happened to see it, and I got the biggest smile on my face! Great job Bentley. can't wait to see how this go-kart turns out! Your definitely learning from one of the best so I've got faith in ya!👍🏻😁
Yea I found him maybe a year ago, he was suggested to me on RUclips. There very humble. He could easily mention his son's channel on his yet never has. He also had his second vice grip lodge channel a good while before he mentioned it on the main channel.
Way to go man! Can’t wait to see you fit that big power in there. Awesome job on your presentation for camera too 👍🏻 Big props from down in Australia dude!
Congrats from all the way in Australia, you’re smashing it little buddy!!
Can’t wait for the next ep and the finished product! 😁👍
Reminds me of helping dad in the shop when I was a kid and now that where both older he still helps me and continues to show me stuff every day
A family with a strong foundation and love can do not just great things, they can do anything. Congratulations on the purchase of you cart kiddo. I look forward to all the great things you will be doing.
That motor is a lot bigger than it looked in the picture. Going to be an awesome project! Can hardly wait until the next episode!
Merry Christmas to you!
Bentley, love your videos, i know your an inspiration to the younger fellows out there but us older gear heads also, you and your dad work so well together, cant wait to see more updates on your go cart
So much fun to watch this, always brings back fun memories. Great work Bentley and Merry Christmas to you and the whole family.
AWESOME. THE APPLE DOSENT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE. HES A BEAST LIFTING THAT ENGINE, TOO CUTE. MOPAR 4 EVER.
I'm 67 years old and totally entertained great job!
Truly warms the heart to see the little man preparing for VGG 2.0!! Bentley, you did an outstanding job with the narration and I can't wait to see how this project turns out. Excellent Father/Son project.
This is going to be an epic build, can't wait to see the next steps...Great job Bentley, thank you for the awesome content.
What a phenomenal time you guys are having!! This channel is so heart warming and special. Thanks Bentley and mom and dad.
Seeing little Grip with that sawzall....then hearing Derrick quietly chuckle as the wheel drops....Bentleys whoa that was kool..... got to really make a Dad proud. 👏
Great job Bentley,It’s great to see youngsters in the garage turning wrenches instead of sitting in front of the tv or playing video games.
I’m ready for part 2 now and I’d probably just keep it yellow with the decals but I’m kinda lazy and it looked pretty good after it was cleaned up
I haven't even finished watching the video yet and I can't stop laughing. Bentley, your lucky to have a dad like Derek, but he's even luckier to have a son like you. Keep up the great work and don't ever stop being you.
Bentley, you are a natural on camera. Great work on your video. It is awesome that your dad helps you out. I am looking forward to seeing the next parts of this go cart build. It will be an amazing go cart when you get it done. I think red and blue would be great colors, but it is your build, so do it how you want it to look. Have a blessed week and a very Merry Christmas and happiest of holidays.
Little dude, you are your way to a life that will keep you on your toes at all times. Being able to fix and or mod machines or, well anything will lead you to places you have never dreamed of....Keep at it, we are all pulling for you!! way to go mom and dad!!
10 years ago,my son wanted To build an off road cart, so we built it and since then, he has been building stuff, front his bicycles, To an old lawn tractor and now he found his first project car......
He is now 19 and just finished welding shcool 8 mont ago,
He doesn' drink . No drugs, he build stuff with his friends, practice martial arts with me and help me with the build of my 1961 gmc k920(k1500 in usa) so, keep it up Bradley , Derek, good job.......
Amazing! This takes me back to the days I use to work on my go kart with my dad. With all the horrible stuff that goes on in the world today, I can watch this and feel that things aren't so awful. Thanks Bentley, keep on keepin on! Awesome mullet too!
Looks like it fits perfectly to me! Great job Bentley, looking forward to seeing your custom build for this rig. Derek, I do not know how you do it, but you are an amazing person, father, and husband. Documenting these builds on RUclips with you and your son will allow you to go back and relive these moments. Thanks for sharing it with all of us and have a Merry Christmas!!!!!
Dude, you are better at making videos at your age than most people. Awesome work! Can't wait to see how it comes together.
Adapter plate baby.....Awesome cutting ,grinding....get that big block installed..... Bentley " you da man "
What a great presentation, Bentley! You really engaged us! You knew what you were talking about, what you hoped to achieve, and what you needed to overcome. This was an entertaining son/father production.
I’d paint her red. She’ll go faster that way.
Little Grip,
You should be so proud of yourself for putting the effort into this channel and devoting your time to a project that will mold you into a fine young man. Your Dad is an amazing person, role model and all around awesome guy! Do your best to continue to learn from him in each and every way you can. This world we live in today is moving in a direction that makes we worry for our youth. This channel, and adventures it brings with it, will be a great opportunity for you to learn valuable skills and assets, which will make life so much easier and prosperous for you. As I sit and watch your videos, your knowledge in a variety of categories blows me away. Not only are you mechanically gifted, but your a great talker, and your ability to connect with your audience, explaining the process of whatever your doing, and informing your audience of the desired outcome is on another level. You have an amazing opportunity here to really build a foundation for your future, and the fact your Dad is devoting his time to help you accomplish it, makes me incredibly happy and stoked for the future of our car loving/gearhead culture. We all have to come together as a community to ensure this way of life continues to prosper, and future generations have the same opportunity to experience how awesome it truly is. America is a special place, "the best country in the world in my opinion", and the car culture is embedded in the roots of its history. The car culture has played a major role in leading to the destination of where we are now, and I will continue to support you and your dad with all of your endeavors. You all seem very similar to me, great people who love America, God, and family. Congratulations on your channel, and I wish you guys the best. Godspeed and God Bless, keep rockin dude!
The pure joy on the little lad's face when he realised that the engine is "too" big for the chassis. He already knows that in life you have to "Go big or go home"
So great getting your kids involved in Mechanics a Smart little Feller
Fantastic! Keep at it! I think I would paint it red! A red go cart is what every little guy needs! With a black roll cage!
If only we all could of had a father like you Derek I can’t wait to watch him grow and build that step side into his own creative project
Great job !! Kid
Great job Dad. Learn them while they're young to do the job right the first time. That way he knows what to do when something just a bit harder comes his way. Just looking at his first project and all hands on. It's going to run like a skulded dog.
Young man your going along way in life.
We did not have any money growing up in the 70 but my dad was there teaching me like you are Bentley . He will never forget it and go far in life .
I was wondering who the cameraman would be........then I hear Dad's voice! So awesome! Teach him young Derek! Best Dad ever (except for me of course)!
This kids mullet and go kart is what got me to click the video, reminds me a little Joe dirt, turning wrenches and building go karts, little grip garage is an awesome name
It's nice you see a young lad hands on working on something!!
KUDOS Derek for getting your son interested in mechanics and problem solving! Bentley is gonna be great.
Derek, bless your heart for doing it right. I hope you can continue to raise your Sons like this (the right way). Second, Bentley, keep doing what you’re doing Lad. You have the best teacher imaginable. Following with a great level of second hand pride!!!
A crossover video with Bentley, this cart, and Cars and Cameras would be awesome 👍
Good thing the boy brought his big helper along. He just might teach him a thing or two.
"No seat, brakes, tires, and the chain is failing..."
So basically, on brand for a VGG barn find. Just like dad. Proud of you, man! Thrilled to be a subscriber and to support your channel.
Great job little man...I think a little guy could paint her red, white and blue to make sure you get ALL of the Eagles to scream. So proud of you and your dad buddy, keep it Rollin!
This is to adorable THANKS DEREK for showing them the good father son relationship!!!!!!
Well done Bentley. Can’t wait to see how the project turns out. Well done Mom and Dad. All the best.
Proof that the apple never falls to far from that old tree!
Well done young man
Awesome- was born in 1957 & this is what kids did in that day & early 1960, junk yard parts cobbled together a running machine- your outstanding dad is helping you build a primo dirt cart! You will never forget these times with your dad❤️
I knew as soon as he said it had "no brakes" he was a "Chip Off The Old Block" good job young man. It's great to see a young man with tools in his hands rather than a smart phone gaming.
it is amazing wonderful to see young kids and their parents do things together.. such as these boys and parents are doing!
As an adult I would love to learn and work in Derek's garage. As a child this is literally my idea of a perfect childhood.
Bentley is getting so much more comfortable in front of the camera. Great work. Keep it up.
You reminded me of when my step-son was young, maybe 6 or 7. We went to the local autojumble (British version of your swap-meets) and bought 3 broken pitbikes, took them home and made 2 good ones, I of course being the responsible adult tested it and thought great, he'll be fine, turned out that what did maybe 10mph with me on (imagine clown-bike!) did maybe 30 or more with a small human on board, his mum was not amused, especially as he loved it. We learned, made things a bit safer and he went on to complete his mechanics qualifications early even though he has dyslexia and ADHD and struggled badly in regular school.
Keep up the good work Bentley and as your dad says, That's waaay too much, perfect!
Bentley is a natural, I think he’s giving his old man a run for his money, he’s that good
Hard to find young people engaged in something so constructive. Raising him right Derek, good job Bentley!
Congrats Bentley on another great "how to video" with your dad!!! You're and awesome young man! When you get older and have made thousands of videos, you'll look back on the videos you and Dad created with pride! All of us hope you continue to make videos just like your dad is doing! You are a successful RUclipsr, and a natural in front of the camera!
I'm hook on watching you work! Thanks!!
I was really expecting the little feller to chuck things like his dad, but he has more patience. Bentley also convinced me to buy a Hobo freight shop vac.
A fellers lucky to have such a cool dad ,I bet he’s really proud of you, keep up the good work.
It looks like you're doing a great job Bentley... Your Daddy has taught you well..
As far as color goes, I think you should paint it whatever your favorite color is... Because this is your cart, and will be a reflection of your personality..
Bentley=the perfect mix of his parents. I don't even know these people and you can see how he resembles both of them in many ways. Derek n Jessica, keep up the good work!!! People I wish I knew, couple #4
