Ahh wait I love these takes! That last answer might be a hot take on the internet rn, but I totally agree!! I think people are so quick to cut others off to "protect their peace" rather than just communicate. I mean definitely don't stay in toxic friendships, but I feel like the standard for what is considered "toxic" has been lowered.
Honestly this is so needed and such an eye opening perspective, Hana. I've been struggling with feeling disappointed when I am feeling hurt or annoyed by friends. I've been realizing that I have a tendency to pull away and that is is unrealistic to hold expectations for friends, and difficult to have close connection, without communication Thank you so much! 💕
I love this video! I totally agree with what you said about friendships. I think last year was the time I realized that it is impossible to agree and like someone 100% of the time and that is normal. I think all kinds of relationships take effort and thats why sometimes as soon as a disagreement comes up we tend to want to just run away but thats not how healthy relationships work. I think we just have to have in mind what our “non-negotiables”are and also be willing to put an effort to communicate when something bothers you in a relationship.
I find myself so similar to you. I have hangout friends but rarely talk to them about deeper thoughts because they have shown me they can’t be trusted. I don’t belong in any friend group because I don’t feel connected. I started cutting friends out of my life because they don’t ever ask how I am. I was the one doing all the work in the friendship. Lucky you have Jimmy who doesn’t judge you and I see can you learned a lot from him. As you mentioned before, he’s a people person. I don’t think I will find great friendships anymore at my age. I am not young anymore and have health issues. Not mentally healthy either. This video is much needed. Hope to see more of these videos 😊

also the question about long distance friends is such a good one! All my close friends and also myself moved away in the last few years and I felt so sad in the beginning since I’m also a person who doesn’t like to call and talk on the phone BUT it has gotten so much better that I can spontaneously just call them and talk and yap haha I’m calling them at least twice a week now!! Sometimes when I’m taking a walk which is really nice :) so I think it is possible to keep this friendship close even though there might be a big distance physically!! We also plan to meet up or do a travel trip in the future and stuff :)
Yeah! Having future plans together is so helpful! Like trips to look forward to and stuff hehe 💛
