Your videos are actually informative. I am noticing many tubers just like showing how cute they look vs teaching. You always do a good job of slaying AND teaching. This looks quite natural, plucking & lace color makes the clear difference.
Let me start off by saying that you did a beautiful job. Your demonstration was so simple and straight to the point. I heard every word you said, and you helped me out tremendously!!!! I will keep playing this until I get it! Thank you!!!! You are the bomb!!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST YET SIMPLEST LACE FRONT INSTALLATION EVER! It blends so beautifully and I'm happy that faux pa's were in there so that I know how to correct any mishaps
Hey Ivy, do an update video on this technique. I want to know if the closure slides back? I had a closure in not using an elastic band and just sewed it around and eventually it started to slide back so I'm think the frontal would do the same thing and your braids at the front would be exposed a little, Let me know. Thanks!
+89rebel no means you will have to touch up your closure in the front some pull it forward in the place they want it sew it down around the perimeter or wherever they can find a spot to do so .
89rebel No, keep the same closure. She just means that your closure install would just last a month, which is good timing in my opinion b/c I like to care for my hair and give it a good deep conditioning treatment. You could keep pulling your closures forward, but I hate doing that. It's annoying to do that so I just get a fresh new install.
ALL I CAN SAY IS BLACK WOMEN ARE AMAZING!!!! THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! THE BEST HAIR TUTORIAL I HAVE EVER SEEN. CAN YOU PLEASE SHOW HOW TO TO THIS ON THIN HAIR, MY HAIR IS TOO THIN FOR CORNROWS.
OMG did my first frontal yesterday and it is so much harder than it looks. Girl you make it look so easy. I cannot understand how your lace doesnt curl up or lift around your edges. I did it just like this and my lace if lifting like its no tomorrow lol Im forced to try and elastic band. Hope it doesnt make my head hurt! And how in the world did your baby hairs lay down. I take a tiny bit of hair, cut it and try to lay it down, and it sticks straight up..doesnt lay at all no matter how long or short the hair is. so frustrating!! but im gonna keep trying! Great job!
I watched a lot of stylist apply a sew in lace frontal as a wig on a cap and directly sewn on braids, but you were the first to explain what happens with the front of the frontal I understood it when you wrapped the thread around one side of the back of the head to the other side. thanks for that because now I get it.
My Gosh, you've got crazy skills. If I tried I would probably just ruin the hair. If only you lived in the UK I would defo pay for you to make me wigs like this
Girl, you just made me believe two-finger foreheads like me can actually rock lace anything!!!! Love you for this and how believable it looks too? SEAMLESS!!! Praises love! Keep at it!!!!
thank you!!! finally someone with a small forehead with baby hairs who can rock a frontal, I have been searching for months, I was hesitant to buy one for this reason
Great video! 3 years later still on point. When I slay my first install I will have you to thank. You are so calm and to the point. Your vid never made me wince or fast forward. I ain't mad
1:24 🎶 That weave way to thick you need to pluck it! This weave line way too thick you need to pluck it! Pluck it,(yeah) pluck it(ba!) pluck it (scur) pluck it (BA!) pluck it (ye) pluck it (go) pluck it (bong)🎶
omg that looks so good im going to try it. im new to this closure game so im watching loads of videos to see the best way to do it. yours has looked the most natural by far
Ivy, So my only question is can you lift the lace at the front ? Idk but I see some people with glue less methods & it looks fabulous but you can lift the hairline right up cuz it's not super secure there. That's fine lol but I'm just so concerned about mine lifting then you can see my braids. & thank you for the vid! It was very informative
+Ivy Dear How does it stay put in the front? What mechanics keep it from lifting? i saw you rub your finger through your hair from the front to the back when you were done and it didn't lift and I'm wondering what's keeping it from lifting at the front, or perhaps it didn't lift coz you were being super gentle otherwise it would lift coz nothing seems to be holding it down securely on the front hairline , just curious as to what keeps it from lifting
+HappyNappyZama +Ivy Dear This is the exact issue I'm having now. I've had a frontal closure in for the past 3 days now and I love the concept. But it's very frustrating trying to figure out how to sew the closure by my hairline without any threads showing and without any lifting.
+HappyNappyZama her sewing it down on Both sides by pulling it down securely is why it doesn't lift. If you sew it down and it's not lane completely flat or sewn in the correct areas using the proper tension on the right areas it may lift. Just put tension on both sides and see if it lifts, if it does put tension on other parts of the frontal and if it lays flat then you know you sew there
+Jocoby Junious I had the same concern but saw another video where the girl went and parted the frontal and sewed it to each braid row, not only the perimeter braids. It makes it much more secure.
THIS VIDEO, HELPED ME SOOOO MUCH, TY TY TY, I was trying to figure out a way to sew down my full lace wig and Just this frontal demonstration helped me tremendously. I was trying to book this stylist in my area and she was taking too long and being very flimsy with her schedule and my man is coming home this weekend and I wanted my hair to look Flawless for him and my unit is coming in tomorrow so she just missed that money by being funny LOL. She doesn't respond well to calls or text messages and she said that she needs time with her family in the evening and guess what I need time with my man and I want to look good for him too. I'm definitely going to subscribe thank you so much!!!
This may be a crazy question but has anyone ever tried having a frontal in the front and back of your wig/sew in? It seems like it would have a good natural look since the lace would look like scalp in the back too especially for ponytails. Idk just a thought lol
Some company's actually "back frontal's", there is a company called Missy's hair boutique that does them and others that pop up when you type it on on google lol
Your are so pretty! I absolutely LOVE the way you do your hair so flawlessly! I enjoy your videos. Your weaves whether sew in, wigs or whatever are pure PERFECTION!
😧 she always makes things look effortless...even when she doesn't even know what she's doing (as she stated, she was learning as she went) is it possible to idolize and envy at the same time? 😍😍🙌🙌 she's got it!! love it, & as always very beautiful! can't wait to try it! love, your silent fan
I loooove it ! I watched sooo many others videos I ALWAYS don't understand the bleaching and tint process ! Here you are explaning it so welle and professionnally I understood every steps ! Thank you !! *subbed*
Omg this is spectacular I love this video ...it's going to be my first time getting a frontal and I hope that there's people in Texas who have blessed hands like you Ivy !!!!!
Excellent tutorial Ivy. I loved the finished product! I appreciate how you explained why you took out so much hair it made the hair line look so natural. I am 6 months growing my hair out natural, kicking the creamy crack addiction. Rather than going through the hassle of wearing a short hair style while I grow mines out, I prefer to wear a wig keeping my own hair healthy and strong. 😊
Girlllllll that was magic & too easy to do! Thank you. It looks great & I can't believe you did it yourself! I'm buying one tomorrow! Thanks honey! This is everything!!!!!
Did you cut the sides of the frontal to fit your head? all frontals are way too long for my head and I've tried just wrapping it behind my ears instead of cutting it and all of my edges on the side are just out. Don't you have a small head too? did you have this problem? because it lol like u may have cut the sides.... I could be wrong
Ayshinae Elexus I'm wondering this too..a lot of you tubers never say what the hell the do with the extra lace or where they position it so all your edges aren't out..I learned the the hard way that yes you cut the excess lace off around your ears and also sew it behind your ears. Hope this helps ya out!
I love your video. I have been watching videos on frontals and bundles, wigs and installs and this one generates the most confidence in my ability to try an ibstall! I am so excited. My bundles and 13×4 frontal arrived today so I am going to go for it!
This is such a detailed and easy to follow tutorial. I customized my lace frontal and I will be sewing it down tomorrow Lords willing Lol I'm excited about using your method and I know it'll work :)
i mean, im arab so i dont actually need this and idk why it showed up in my recommedned but i sure as hell respect anyone who does this cuz that shit looks hard af. dont you poke your head? with the needle?
+Reine Sammouh she doesn't need weave, no one needs it, it's just a style preference. The Kardashians wear weaves and wigs all they time not because they need it but because they like how it looks, the same goes for mostly everyone who chooses to wear weave or wigs.
+njeri1 i meant that i dont need to wear a weave to get the same look. i really didn't mean that in an offensive way i just meant that my hair is already straight so i dont need to do anything anything to make it straight if i wanted to? does that make sense? i hope it does... im sorry i really didn't mean to offend you or her or anyone for that matter
+Reine Sammouh lol just ignore people that get too easily offended. typically people have a curved needle and they only put the needle in unitl its under the braid so you dont stab yourself. with straight needles, it can happen but typically people that use them have worked with them for a while and know the angle to put the needle in
bisforever Or you can address what you intended to address and not pretend to know if i was offended or not. The way she worded it was that she didn't need weave because she's arab and i let her know that anyone can wear a weave. Clearly she doesn't know anything about this kind of hair styling so why would she know how popular it is among all hair types. Tell me where i was offended in my comment.
she doesn't know everything but her saying she doesn't need weave bc her hair is natural similar to that was in no way saying that black girls need weave and you went off like it was an intentional mean comment. you can take your drama elsewhere. I already addressed what I need to but thanks again. njeri1
Your videos are actually informative. I am noticing many tubers just like showing how cute they look vs teaching. You always do a good job of slaying AND teaching. This looks quite natural, plucking & lace color makes the clear difference.
I agree!! How to's and tutorials are still needed
I agree. So many people have forgotten what YT is all about.
True & there are no videos like this one 🙌🏾👌🏾
+Sassy Besos This is my first time watching her channel...yes, she does!
So true girl.
Let me start off by saying that you did a beautiful job. Your demonstration was so simple and straight to the point. I heard every word you said, and you helped me out tremendously!!!! I will keep playing this until I get it! Thank you!!!! You are the bomb!!!!!

HouseOfHaute right I was thinking the same thing. This is the most laid frontal tutorial I’ve seen. Good quality and Very easy to follow!!!!!
Ivy is legit the best on YT when it comes to hair. This chick always has flawless hair.
I've never had a lace front come even half way close to looking this natural lol. it looks amazing on you!
THIS IS THE BEST YET SIMPLEST LACE FRONT INSTALLATION EVER! It blends so beautifully and I'm happy that faux pa's were in there so that I know how to correct any mishaps

+Chantel Cecilia over time a closure/frontal will always slide back! i thank a frontal can last a month with light maintance
Ivy Dear
Okay very true. I'll give it a try, maybe ill also try it with the elastic band to see it it holds it in place as well. Thanks.
+Chantel Cecilia hey, Sorry I'm new to closures. Does this mean I will have to but a new closure every month?? Thnx
+89rebel no means you will have to touch up your closure in the front some pull it forward in the place they want it sew it down around the perimeter or wherever they can find a spot to do so .

this is the first video ive see that actually shows you what to do with a frontal instead of just sewing it down. THANK YOU 🙌🙌
Although I have watched this video over n over n over again I promise you I will still manage to screw up my frontal
I watched a lot of stylist apply a sew in lace frontal as a wig on a cap and directly sewn on braids, but you were the first to explain what happens with the front of the frontal I understood it when you wrapped the thread around one side of the back of the head to the other side. thanks for that because now I get it.

+Ivy Scales thank you

Omg this is spectacular I love this video ...it's going to be my first time getting a frontal and I hope that there's people in Texas who have blessed hands like you Ivy !!!!!
how did you get it to stay down n the front?
Ivy Dear, you are an artist...don't let nobody tell you no different...stay blessed my dear!!!!
How long did you let the lace soak in the fabric dye?
Excellent tutorial Ivy. I loved the finished product! I appreciate how you explained why you took out so much hair it made the hair line look so natural. I am 6 months growing my hair out natural, kicking the creamy crack addiction. Rather than going through the hassle of wearing a short hair style while I grow mines out, I prefer to wear a wig keeping my own hair healthy and strong. 😊
Did you wrap the thread around the back or middle of your head?
Girlllllll that was magic & too easy to do! Thank you. It looks great & I can't believe you did it yourself! I'm buying one tomorrow! Thanks honey! This is everything!!!!!
What frontal❤❤❤❤❤
Top Notched Slayed!! The Natural parts in that Lace Frontal are FIERCE!!🙌🏾🙌🏾
Where can you buy the fabric dye at? You are a life saver, the things you can do with hair is amazing!!
Walmart, target,
What was the name of the fabric dye
+Kasey Brown i believe its call ritz
+Rajeisha Wilton how long do you leave the tint on the frontal?
+Marvetta Phipps i left mines in no more the 35mins. u just have to keep checking to see how dark u want it.
*look not lol

ivy ur most definitely one of thee best on youtube! keep it coming girl I learn frm ur hair videos 👏👏
I scared to look at the price lol,....but it's well worth it!!I need this frontal!
I'm
+Tatyana Najee There are some on aliexpress that cost $35-$75 depending on the length
+ILoveStemi what would the name of it be, though? lace front closure??
Devondria Jones I think it's just lace frontal closure
I love your video. I have been watching videos on frontals and bundles, wigs and installs and this one generates the most confidence in my ability to try an ibstall! I am so excited. My bundles and 13×4 frontal arrived today so I am going to go for it!
this is my next hair style I can't wait to take my kinky twist out
Ivy you were ahead of your time. MELTEDDDDDDDD
How much did it cost?. And can u wear it in the pool?
Mew Hey, so how is your frontal holding up? Was thinking about trying one out for the first time and thought this might be a good way to go. Thanks :)
Ml
This is such a detailed and easy to follow tutorial. I customized my lace frontal and I will be sewing it down tomorrow Lords willing Lol I'm excited about using your method and I know it'll work :)
Great job
what about the back? do you put a lace frontal there too?
this is what I wanna know
+lathea marshall you sew your weave into the back the same way you would do a sew in
white people be like
😂😂😂 @ "white people be like".. lol my thoughts exactly! 😂
360 frontals Cover The back
That's the most AMAZING lace front tutorial I've ever seen!
Probably corny and said 1000x before but she reminds me of Ivy from Good Luck Charlie
Love your tutorial! We always encourage customers to try sewing in without adhesive.
thank you this video is a God sent
The hair is pretty and you did a really good job. Your eyebrows are beautiful!
Why do some people bleach the frontal?
It makes it look more natural because if you look closely at unbleached frontals you can see where the hair was knotted onto the lace.
So you won't see the black knots that bonds the hair to the lace and also it makes the hair towards the roots look more natural
Jessica shemone Yes
Hey Ivy, I love your videos! My little sister told me about you and I've been watching you ever since. keep up the good work!
Witchcraft! 😂
+Smarty Jones lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🙄😂
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 bloody murder
omg thank you for that anchor tip, I could never get my closure to stay! u da best
and how do you "unsew" it? (sorry if its a stupid question) cause I just wanna wear it for one night
You could just make a wig and then u could wear it whenever
then you need a wig then frontal sew ins are the same time as a regular sew in
Mandy just wear a wig
I have no words...wow...that really looks real....Thank you so much for sharing
Is that a medium brown or dark brown
Medium brown
This is the most informative and clear video i've seen so far... without TOO much talking, i didn't zone out once xD
