back in the mw2 days i got a EMP from a care package and i KNEW the enemy team had a nuke so i waited to call it in in the last minute or 30segs left, cant remember how much it lasted, omg the dude RAGED HARD on the mic because he couldnt call it LOL.
try a christmas video where you do care package sentry gun and emergency airdrop and gift it to your team all at once

I remember this one time where I was playing on this one MW2 dlc map that was an oil facility in the desert (not rust) and we were getting absolutely shit on by the enemy. I somehow got a care package and it had an EMP in it, well I held onto it and eventually the enemy called in a bunch of streaks, an AC 130, UAVs, and a harrier too. I will never forget the joy I felt when I clicked that detonator and blew all of that shit up in one fell swoop !

EMP became standard for the ground war people in mw3. I remember it became a race to see who could get the first one because it would pretty much allow you to steamroll the enemy team and not let them streak to cap flags

The emp was lowkey underrated, it was basically a poor mans nuke that would really piss off the other team if you used it
"No one used the emp" I used it all the time in MW2 over Nuke. It was fun destroying my enemies killstreaks with it.

The EMP was a great kill streak. It knocks out all their electronics not just kill streaks. Takes out the HUD map, ammo count, even red dot eights and heartbeat sensors. It was really disorientating.
They should have lower it. 15 was too high and less appealing for people. It was good though
@KenshinnAMV13 kills would've been right imo, the ability to wipe out every enemy killstreak at once should be harder than 11 for the chopper or AC-130
Love this old COD stuff. I just turned 24 and I still remember thinking about playing multiplayer in the middle of class. I haven’t determined if COD has changed so much that’s it’s indistinguishable from the COD of my memory, or if nostalgia is so strong nothing will be able to replicate old COD.
I think part of it is nostalgia and part of it is true at the same time. COD back then was just different, it flows different than new CODs and also it was a different time era. Kids these days are soo used to being able to hop on a video game and play with they friends like it's a normal thing, whereas back in our day, it was like a new thing that was soo freaking cool to be able to do, we thought differently than the kids today and because of that, it just isn't the same today as it was back then

@@AFellowDoktuh big facts my man, this whole microtransaction thing severely damaged gaming. The cosmetic stuff isn't the worst thing in the world, but it definitely makes the game goofy asf and takes away from the realism. I might just be old school (I'm only 22💀) but I don't spend a penny on microtransactions. Makes me sad that this is what COD turned into, let alone gaming as a whole
@@55Tonythetigar dude, I remember my first COD was COD 3, then COD4 MW, WAW, MW2, BO, MW3, BO2, Ghosts. Those were real COD games, though I hated Ghosts it was still playable and I could hit clips on that just the same as any COD before it. Once AW dropped and it was filled with crate drop and Microtransactions I knew COD was heading in a bad direction. But it got really bad with MW2019 with SBMM, and lobby disintegration, gone were the days of running and going ham on a lobby. KD went down the drain among other thing. Call of Duty is no longer Call of Duty, just a $$$ grab for Activison..
The older call of duty’s were 100% much better than new ones. Last really good cod was Bo2 imo. MW2 is my favourite 🐐
this game looks and plays so amazing. I remember once accidentally putting the EMP instead of the nuke on derail and I got a 25 kill streak. Could have had my first nuke but got an emp instead haha
I used to go for the EMP back in the day just to get that moving emblem because it looked really cool and was a lot easier to get than the nuke emblem. It was like a budget nuke emblem lol

I was never good at multiplayer, so back in MW3 days I would run support and use the EMP all the time since it counted your kills even if you died, so I would use it to support my team who got more kills than me with their assault killstreak
MW3 killstreaks were just perfect. They had the assault for people who want tons of kills, support for team players who play objective, and specialist for MOABs/gunplay. Favorite game as a kid

I never equipped the EMP as a streak until I tackled Random Class Generator setups with it. I always got the emblem by getting 10 in Care Packages.
A very useful streak but if I’m gonna shoot for 15+ kills, I prefer the Nuke.
Pretty sure the nuke isn't 30 kills in mw2.

I remember a few people used it. Can shutdown someones nuke asap. F2000 and the EMP were the most underused in MW2 history.
What do you mean it can shut down enemy nuke asap ? It does not cancel the nuke if its already called in , but you can’t call in a nuke or moab during the 60 sec of emp

I agree emp is powerful and it can instantly take out sentery but it doesn't kill anything
I always had fun with mw3 running support killstreaks. Just to annoy enemies and assist teammates. uav, ballistic vest or counter, with either emp or sam turret.
My favourite mw2 killstreaks (no nuke):
1 - chopper gunner
2 - harrier
3 - ac130
4 - predetor missile
5 - pave low
I loved running the EMP and then using it to stop people from calling in their nukes at the end of the game. We would then win from playing the objective lol
I usually had it as my top streak in MW3 as I ran support due to mostly playing modes like CTF or Domination.
I wasn't so bothered about racking up dozens of kills in a match as I would enjoy getting points for nailing others streaks and helping to get that win for the most part.
The EMP was only available in care packages. There is a 0% chance of getting an EMP in an emergency airdrop.

The Emp would of been more viable if it countered the Nuke.
The funny thing about the emp is that it’s about as impactful as a counter uav, but it confuses the fuck out of the enemy team because there was literally no reason to ever run the emp when you can get a nuke with the nearly the same amount of effort
I can relate to the whole wanting to get a killstreak jus for the sound effect. The sound of the UAV and predator missle in this game are just so iconic

Something people forget about the EMP in MW2 is that there's no perk that counters it. Even if you're using Cold Blooded/Cold Blooded Pro, you still suffer the effects of EMP i.e. loss of radar, inability to call in kill streaks, blurred screen with no U.I. information, no red dots / heartbeat monitors, etc.
This was changed in MW3 as Assassin Pro practically cancelled out everything from the EMP save for ability to call in kill streaks. This was probably done for balancing reasons since the EMP was moved to a support package where a player could always call one in no matter how many times they died.
I used it all the time just to piss people off. Lobbies afterwards would be “who TF calling using emp’s? That’s effing annoying”! I’d stack them up and use them back to back to back and laugh
I would and did it was such a game changer when someone on the other team who had something big coming it made me smile knowing it made someone cry 😂
EMP was a cool idea and if you got one from a care package and saved it you could instantly take out enemy air support. Unfortunately if you're able to rack up 15 kills chances are nobody on the other team probably have anything worth using it on. And if you used it while your team was losing it probably wouldn't help you win. Most stopped at the Chopper gunner or ac130. People like me went for the nuke.

I believe the EMP is actualy underrated. This killstreak is very very obnoxious to be against, you basicaly can't see anything around the map. It's like being blind for minutes. This gives a huge advantage to the team with the EMP and can literaly pull a comeback from a lost match.
I remember the EMP being very useful in objective game modes. Denying the enemy to use their killstreaks for 45 seconds was huge in objective game modes. It could turn the whole match in your favor. It also disables enemy optics if I remember correctly. I will admit though that they should have made it a 12 killstreak instead of 15. That way it is still the second highest killstreak in the game after the nuke and actually worth it but 15 is just too much.

Had a buddy who ran Predator missile, Chopper gunner, EMP. I witness alot of EMPs back in the day.
My go to streaks were Predator - Pave Low - EMP. The satisfaction was insane when you denied an enemy Nuke by destroying their Chopper or AC130.
Back at it with another awesome video also I used the emp back in the day like on the 360 in 2015

Back in the day the God class to win objective pubs with friends was,
Scar H either silenced or FMJ
Counter UAV, Pred Missile or Emergency Airdrop, and *EMP*
Stopping Power or Hardline
Semtex with stuns or blast shield
They ran with SMGs, UAVs, Pred Missiles and Harriers.
Now I'm the SMG dud from hours of Tracer-Genji flanking turning my playstyle to the rat.
While no one uses it in MW2, it was one of the saving graces if you got stuck in a tryhard lobby in MW3. I remember being toxic and sitting on those guaranteed stealth bombers and EMPs and calling it in the second the other team called in a VTOL gunner so they lost the streak and care packages. MW3 support streaks were broken
Love the content, loved the EMP always used it to help other friends get their nukes back in the day
idk man, I saved many a match by blasting that emp right around 7000 cuz good enemy players always saved the big ones for the end of the match. It worked a lot. Killed incoming stealth bombers, and all the big killstreaks - except nukes of course

NGL, I was one of those people who had EMP on their list. For one, it was easier than getting a nuke and two I loved getting it and using it against whatever the enemy had like AC130 and chopper gunner, the reaction was priceless when they lost it instantly. Best counter 🤣

I remember using this back in the day because I would always destroy enemy streaks and calling an emp would just make my day easier
Three fun killstreak are UAV, Precision Airstrike and Stealth Bomber. First, use the UAV then stealth bomber and the enemy team will avoid the area where the bomber will strike which mean that the open area is for the precision airstrike. Of course it's not a guarantee to get kills, but still fun.
Did the same in other cod too, but with uav, airstrike and mortar.
I remember boosting with tac inserts to get the nuke emblem, also remember making it a mission to find and kill everyone else that was doing it too lol
Guess EMP always was a counter VS people that play high killstreaks. Just imagine in MW2/3 you finally manage like 12-13 kills to call in chopper/pavelow and suddenly its instantly down by EMP and everything else is blocked for a minute. Thats kinda strong to win games in my opinion.

No more HUD, so it was basically hardcore mode. No more red dot sight, no more heartbeat sensor, thermal scope wasnt thermal anymore...
I personally liked it because it was just another challenge to go for, and less sweaty to get than a nuke

The best Call of Duty to ever be created, this game created so many different memories for everyone, for us it was Trickshottting and Sniping but now we want and command Modern Warfare 2 Remastered!

Never played Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer but I did play the campaign when I was like 5?
But I think Treyarch borrowed the idea of the EMP or straight up adopted it into Black Ops 2 and in Black Ops 2 it was very powerful because it was futuristic era and most of the scorestreaks, equipment and attachments were all electronical so, to destroy all of the scorestreaks, equipment, and turn off their minimap and scramble the rest of their HUD for what I can remember was a 17 killstreak(1400-1775? Score, 1 kill grants100 score) to always have on standby once acquired seemed pretty good.
I remember encountering it a lot in demolition. It was very effective when it would stop my team from using killstreaks when trying to plant.
Random MW2 fun fact: A EMP does not impact the red dot for the F2000. That’s why the F2000 was the most OP gun !!

At the time where hackers infested the game heavily I ran uav, counter uav and emp. Uav to no where they're at, surprisingly the counter uav blocked their iav hacks and emp would destroy their killstreaks like harrier and helicopters. Also ran 1 man army with a noobtube to piss them off
