Beatrix, i’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. You are such a refreshing light in this world of classical guitar, not only because of the community you built, but also because of the example you set for other young creatives. Please stay true to your path, and please don’t forget: you deserve everything you’ve earned, congrats !!
thank you Evan, honestly I don't even know what to say... I'm not only happy you feel this way, but I'm grateful for the friendships - like the one I have now with you - that I'm making on my journey. Thanks for the kind words!
Your playing is wonderful. Your sense of humor and self effacement is over the top endearing and keeps your viewers coming back for more every time. Don't ever change!
You have a way to converse with your fans and stay very honest. You are among the few who are making standards as to how one can share their journey on the internet, bringing goodness and continuously add value as a creative person.
I'm amazed at the care and attention to details regarding your color composition for this video. Every element seems to fit perfectly with you and the environment. I am so happy to have found your channel.
Beatrix, you are so much more than worthy! You give so much! It may be hard for you to see or appreciate. But it why we all love you so much! Keep on!!!
Congratulations Beatrix, 100k is a big number. I appreciate your teaching and tips. And I have bought some of your recommended pieces from the composers. I think I am an intermediate player and your advice is great and very appreciated. Thanks for your help.
Love your content Beatrix, congrats on 100k! BTW, the question about your looks, you dress very modestly compared to a lot of other female guitarists on YT, so I'd confidently say that your talent has earned you your following, not just your looks. One day I'll finally get this classical guitar thing down!
Thanks for your answers, channel, and for being around. I wanted to share one thing with that intermediate player, as an intermediate player who has been stuck in the same spot forever. Here's what I've done: I've got a 1:1 teacher. It may cost a lot, but it force you to practice. Eventually (like me), you'll need to relearn some of your skills, but you'll break out of that plateau-at least, that's what I'm telling myself. Cheers!
I love what you do and how you are doing it. Open, honest, authentic, beautiful, and very helpful to others. I'm glad you and the music you make are in the world
I absolutely love your content and your personality. I’ve interacted with you more on Instagram and you are excellent at communicating with your fan base. I love your album and the community you’ve created. You are certainly worthy of all the love you get.
Exceptionally well-done. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you on this journey with the global music village. Your articulation and natural humility are your strengths as a young woman sharing your experiences with the rest of us.
This was a super great video Beatrix. You had me from the beginning till the end. Why? Because everything you touch on, I have been struggling with and it was great to hear you say it out loud. I’m looking forward to the video you referred to about the making of your recording process.Inside and outside using cameras and DAW’s(Davinci Resolve or Logic Pro, ect…) Thank you for sharing!
I am, in fact, a new viewer and this is my first video I've seen of yours, and I can say after watching it, and others...well, I can see why you have 100k+ subs. Very nice work!
I don't think I'm too kind, I just love what you do and the person you are. If you did not stream, I would probably never have known you, because I rarely go to concerts, especially classical. I have social anxiety, so I wouldn't go alone but I'm single and I dont have much friends either. And concert halls are quite far away from my place. So I'm grateful you're there. Thank you ❤
years ago I hated daddario strings, but holy smokes they turned out with the years soooo good and affordable. I can't stop using the Carbon XT ones or the ProArte, so good and balanced sound. Thanks for the video and GGs on 100k :D
Honestly, I once had the same feeling maybe like 15 years ago that it didn’t seem to be very good for me but when I tried these XT series 3 years ago I had a 180 degree turn 😃 and I can find strings that sounds and feel similar but the extended lifespan is a big deal for me
Most guitarist start out that way by accident or curious about the instrument and one thing led to another .....And the progression started from there. ......lovely Beatrix ❤😂
Cedar tops sound great when finger picking ,when you hit it hard with a pick they will distort the sound a little which is cool for some things like rocknroll but you need spruce top if you want loud and clear so really you need both a cedar and a spruce
Nice video thanks ! I am a lutenist (guitarist too) - but I enjoy watching you, and a few other streamers from time to time. Questions for a future video 1. How did you get so fluent in English ? I'm always amazed at how much better at English you non native speakers can be. 2. Do you have any guitar heroes ? - guitarists with whom you'd like to do a masterclass ? I'll have to get back to guitar one of these days - and will watch more of your stuff. I love the guitar but there are only so many hours in a day.
Thanks for the kind words! Regarding my English, I take weekly coaching sessions with Brian Sikorski and it’s been a game changer! He’s really kind and patient and one of the best teachers I’ve had. Here’s his website: pivotpreps.com/ I think my English improved a lot because I gained confidence in my pronunciation
Great advice on a stuck intermediate. That is me. I found a trick - take a piece you really like for melody, and change the time. Go from 3/4 to 4/4, or from 4/4 to 6/8 or even something weird. This seems to wake up a new part of the brain, and turn the dull old practice to something new. Now, if my hands will just hold out (I am 70) .
When talking Spruce vs Cedar it helps to discuss the difference in age and density of the various woods and instruments. A good 100yo spruce top will not be needing more effort to sound good vs cedar, and will not be lacking in range and volume- quite the contrary. This is probably a misconception spread by players with experience on mostly newer instruments.
Thanks Beatrix for answering my question regarding outside recordings. You are very multi talented. Great guitarist, and I also learned from this video, also an artist in artwork and painting. Keep up the good work, and use your God given talents to the best of your abilities, to honor God, and helping other people, through your guitar lessons and video tutorials. All the best for Christmas and the New Year. Regards Johannes
u're cute, competent, helpful and pleasent to listen to. the complete package for someone who wants to improve his skills and knowledge like me. Thank you and keep up the good work
My advise for moving past intermediate level is to think about becoming a better MUSICIAN. This will help you become better at playing the guitar. I hope that makes sense. Great video B.
I like the casual and personal style approach in this video! I think you shouldn't worry about including this also in other videos. I don't know who you were before the streaming, but I think I know who you became: a great personality! I rarely play classical guitar, more steel string and a bit blues on electric, but I always watch your videos! Go on with your grat content! All the best!
What women think men think is sexy: A short skirt and a low cut dress. What men really think is sexy: Beatrix in a duck costume. ...And, by the way: they're real, and they're spectacular!
so am I understanding that when you record a piece you do several takes then cut and mix and match the best parts of those takes to form one video which you then put online? If only we had that luxury when doing live performances.
Lord knows the comments? 90% cringe! I hope not... Your a talented guitar player so.... Hold your head high... Real musicians will always recognize real musicians! Love your work... Keep on, keepin' on Miss Kovacs...
Cute. She actually blushed. To be fair, most of us guys appreciate the ‘girl next door’ vibe. I typically will pass over most of the ‘ladies’ playing guitar when the line is essentially erased between selling skill/technique or sex. Edit: And Yvette Young IS NOT an artist I expected to be mentioned here! She is pretty amazing and wildly creative.
That’s something I’ve been planning to do for a while, though to do it well I need to prepare a bit. It’s actually quite tricky. But hopefully I’ll do it in 2025 😄
I’m not really a fan of fake recording… I’d prefer you to actually capture the sound and video as a genuine performance rather than recording a piece in a studio then filming a video . Yes - you might hear a dog bark etc etc but so what. I think it’s a deceit to the audience.
Interesting, even without guitar playing 😊 About your looks - that is a thing and beautiful women are clickbait. Live with it and move on. As long as you produce interesting content, I will continue watching
With respect, but i think you have it a little bit wrong, about painting and playing music. You said they have nothing in common. Well over the years i understood that they have soooo much. Both need a tone of practice, solitarity, searching new stuff an knowledge and they have quite similar pleasing effects, could i say, for you. Musicians tend to catch the public eye more than painters do, for sure, but this is the nature of those different kinds of art aaaand also the human nature, if i may be more cinical about the matter. For the other part you have it right. That is you can't combine those two. But painting can be used as inspiration for music and the other way around. Which is soooo important. But yeah you can't intertwine them, except in an audio visual manner pursay......but this is not what you and i mean. Thanks for reading. Just some of my thoughts.
Please please please don’t put that tinny generic “music” on when you are talking. Your voice is enough. It’s OK to have music with visuals but when I am trying to concentrate on the words you are saying the music is way too distracting.
"Boobs"? ..... Why is it that women can never just be online and add to the conversation without sexualizing everything. Even on Chess RUclips you have women posting thirst-trap content.... it seems impossible to avoid highly sexualized content. Very disappointing. I thought you were better than that.
