Also, never use these factory replacement fuel pumps. They use vacuum lines and are prone to vapor lock. This one failed in less than an hour of use. I replaced it with an inline Edlebrock I purchased from an auto parts store. Runs like a champ now.
Just unplug the sending unit plug. And on the bike side of the plug jumper the resistor from the green wire to the black wire. And then wrap electrical tape around it so it doesn't pull out.
