Machan quick one, I wont call myself a pro (not even close) but started learning fingerstyle with no music/guitar background a years ago. I used Tommy Emmanuel's leassons. I'm used to play fingerstyle by anchoring the pinky below the strings. I also use a thumb pick.. Do you think it is still appropiate to use PIMA technique but have pinky anchored (and use a thumb pick) ?
Hi machan, no rigid rules for music. Sometimes I do that but not all the time. However, traditionally, we are not anchoring the pinky on. Enjoy music machan. Thats all matters. Also, if you dont trust me, trust my educational background. From Uni of auckland
