The best game after all: When you are meeting friends at a restaurant, everybody puts his phone on the table. The first one, who pulls his phone, have to pay the drinks.
So much needed this one. One of the small things I like is to take the time to smell the flowers in the grocery store. It doesn't cost anything and ALWAYS makes me smile.
Thank you for the ideas! I'd like to add: -read a couple of pages/minutes every day -train a consistent sleeping schedule -getting dressed everyday, even/especially just for homeoffice 🤗
Absolutely loved this video!! I’m just at the beginning of my minimalist journey and have a long way to go, but I love watching your videos, they’re super helpful!! ☺️🤍
These tips are super helpful. I’ve implemented several of them (plus ones from your other videos) over the last year and the results are astonishing. Literally day and night difference. I always look forward to your videos!! 💛
@@ashleygabriellapladsen As far as the video, I’ve done almost all of them and I’m amazed. Single tasking does keep me focused and able to put forth my best effort, so I’m not half-a**ing all my tasks. Being present is a great way for me to stay grounded; walking in my local neighbor is actually really fun and pretty and you get to know your area better than you thought. I’ve simplified my space soooo much so it’s now clear of all clutter and junk (it was overwhelming and making me claustrophobic) and I am calm and relaxed in my home. Because of that, I can enjoy my home and live how I’d like (I can make coffee every day because the kitchen isn’t a mess, I can keep the floors clear because I have three jackets I absolutely love and hang it up when I get home). Things are set up in a way that’s easy to access, use, and maintain. As far as spending, I’ve saved sooooo much money by not impulse buying. But the main reason I stopped doing that is because I just don’t want or need more stuff. I have money in my savings and IRA now. As far as my over all life though, I’ve gone from working extreme burn out hours at two-three jobs, to one job that’s way easier and pays all my bills and more and I feel like a human being. Finally got to have time for family after four years of “I can’t because I’m always at work.” Life changing.
I'm a multitasking person but trying to be more singletasking. Not easy! I probably use my phone too much. But I do put the phone away when I'm talking to friends. Clutter makes me crazy. I'm actually a messy person therefore I love minimalism. Less clutter. I have social media in form of Instagram. Not Facebook though. Priority is important to live with less stress. At least to me. Learned to say no thanks to invitations etc. And without feeling guilty. Mind you, took me years to learn how to say no. Yes, you're so right about buying more mindfully. I think, ask questions, think some more and then I decide. I use audiobooks. Love it! I'm all about simplifying. Trying to and yes, I do make mistakes. My joy is my family, our weirdo cats and close friends. And the nature, living by a lake, such harmony. Great 10 habits! I'm very inspired by them and this winter will be to declutter nostalgia items and going through photos. Probably days like when the snow has arrived and I'm sitting by a nice fire with a hot cup of tea or coffee. Thanks for sharing and I love your home! It's so beautiful and also, to me, very Scandinavian. Maybe that's why I love it, being Swedish🙂 🌻🧡🌻🧡
I will forever appreciate this channel . You've helped my family a lot since the pandemic till now your advices and lessons are inspirational and helpful to us. My husband and I have been able to be minimal, conscious in spending, saving and lnvesting wisely. We have able to earn on a weekly basis and it helps the family a lot. You're such a blessing to this generation. We all love♥️😊. I'm so happy to join you today too
Enjoyed this one. Good tips. I really try to keep my phone in my bag when I'm out with people. I like the tip of focusing on only one thing at a time and making space in the calender for important things.
I was watching this video while eating my lunch. After i heard the first point I stoped the video, enjoyed my meal mindfully and then I got back to the video. This definitly took some some stress out of me 😌
My husband rented his tux for our wedding. I love your videos! Your tips and lessons really resonate with me and your video quality just keeps getting better! 😁
🌞❤️Amen girly! I've been practicing alot of these habits lately and am mostly done decluttering my home I started this summer and I'm proud of myself. Thank u God for giving me strength learning good habits and discipline before I go back to school and life is busier again . I Love the videos. God bless u beauty and happy rest of summer 🙏❤️🌞
So many good ideas! The last year has made me look for simple pleasures, and they are fairly easy to spot. The idea of a sharing economy really resonated with me and I hope to do more of that going forward.
Every time I watch one of your videos it puts me right in the mood to be productive. Feels like it should be counterintuitive that watching a RUclips video would put you in a productive mood, but you manage to be just the right amount of gentle encouragement my brain needs to get up and go. So I guess that means the habit I want to start implementing in my life is setting a routine. One that includes your videos as that instigating habit that queues everything up and ready to go.
Hello from England!! Absolutely love your videos. Honestly, they form as part of the week I look forward to the most. Minimalism in certain areas of my life has definitely brought a level of calm that I did not think was possible so thank you.
Great tips for simple living. Saying "no" is very important, but difficult for me sometimes. But saying "no" helps me to avoid falling into the trap of people pleasing. I can't please everyone everyone and I should focus on pleasing God instead.
I really enjoyed your little get away.Where was this little extraordinary tiny house u stayed in. I want to put it on my bucket list. Ty. I love your information ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So many things you said resonated with me. Great video! Would love to hear some ideas for hobbies to do in place of social media and mindless scrolling 😁
I stopped watching tv and it has made all the difference and for my upcoming b day I plan on getting a locking timer box for my phone! I want to put it in there and set the locking timer for 30 minutes a day! That will help me get off of social media and RUclips! I love RUclips for videos like these but I want to set specific times to watch them so I don’t go down the rabbit hole!
Thanks ashlynne for inspiration and encouragement I needed. Idid a shoe declutter donating 2 favorites as they no longer fit. My feet shape is too wide.
Hi Ashlynne, I love your videos so much!! Most of what I have watched has captions, (I am Deaf, unfortunately losing my hearing more and more with time) and unfortunately, this one seems to not have them. Will it get captions? Does that take time?
For whatever reason they usually just take a few hours to populate. If you check back in a couple days they should be there!! I do have them set to be automatically added to every video. 🤍
