Saw a post on Tumblr the other day that said “The thing I love about Hermitcraft is that they have 3 mad scientists and none of them are even remotely similar.”
This week we got Doc making a boat canon to launch a chest boat full of Shulker boxes of bonemeal 1000 blocks in 1 Tick.
Zedaph walking around the server with a mending villager on a chicken.
And Cub spending a ridiculous amount of time and diamonds making awesome explosive fireworks, something I have a feeling the average minecrafter nearly never touches.

Doc, I started watching HC last season (Grian) and saw your April fools prank and had to see how you did it and I was hooked. I binged your entire S9 eps. I play on a Nintendo switch (I’m 52, it’s what I learned on and I’m comfortable with, I can chill on my heating pad while playing on my tv lol) and had to clear out my storage to download the S9 map. I finally made it to the perimiter and actually got a tad teary at the sight. Thank you for you and the other hermits fighting to keep it intact. It was beautiful!

FR, in my survival world I named my Silk Touch pickaxe after Doc's (Seidenknüppel) and actually got chills when I saw the GOAT him self's loadout at the perimeter, with the Armor trims as well! Seeing the OG Seidenknüppel + the exact Docm Armor that we've spent tens of hours looking at in Season 9 videos on my character made me stand up and pace my room for like 10 seconds it was that impactful lol.
How!!!! I downloaded it and deleted almost all of my worlds so I only have 5 left which are important to me and I have plenty of space on my switch but it says Minecraft can only use 2 GB
@@snorlaxisgod7506 I archived all of the other games on my switch. I then kept deleting old worlds until I had enough space. I only had 3 worlds left. Have you tried getting a backup SDM card to save everything to? I was going to go that route if keeping the 3 worlds that I did not want to delete still wasn’t enough space. Good luck! I was unable to go down Scarlands’s Main Street because of the lag, and the shopping district was a bit laggy too. The Perimeter took forever to actually render in but once it did I was able to go around the whole inside and explore.

Calling it now: Doc will end up using this system to "teleport" a pile of tnt minecarts inside something, causing it to explode.
I know that Doc enjoys (or at least tolerates) playing the antagonistic bad guy, and the other hermits lean into it too.. but the best moments are when you and the other hermits just genuinely get along and hyped together on camera.
The GOAT is so nice for letting the other Hermits play in his world.
And yet still they won’t let him dupe sand :/

@@braniik1108 that's such a brilliantly evil idea, he already has a machine that sorts items 50/50. He could make one where the Hermits have to pay a stack of sand to AFK at his farm and they only get to take half the output. The more sand the Hermits put in the longer they get to AFK for. 😄

For some reason, seeing the boat slide into place made me laugh out loud. Usually it feels like these hyper-speed setups are so fast that the entity isn’t there one frame and reached its destination on the next, so seeing the boat just slide into place really caught me off guard.
My reaction and thoughts exactly! I was expecting it to just appear and not to quickly slide into place lol (I've only started watching Doc this season and the stuff the hivemind create is absolutely insane and mind bending)
At this point, I can't remember for the life of me what Doc needed the sand for in the first place where he needed the duper
I believe it was for building the murals or all the sandstone structures in the S9 perimeter.
For new viewers, the reason why Doc puts Redstone on Diamond Ore is because early in Season 9 the Hermits did this thing where since Deepslate Diamond ore is actually really common everyone turned in their Diamonds to not wreck the economy. Then they did like a daily quests type thing where they could earn Diamonds for trading. But, Doc didn't want to give up his Diamonds - since he literally had thousands of ore from digging a massive Perimeter and using the tunnel bore - so he stuck it to the man and found the loophole where by using the ore's as building blocks in his Redstone, he was in the clear since that doesn't wreck the economy practically, only theoretically.
That's still a lot more trust worthy and predictable than inflation usually is though, so they should be relieved that Doc is such a nice guy.
Doc also didn't participate in the whole king ren storyline and declared his own sovereignty....and then proceeded to build with diamond blocks as a flex since other hermits were pillaring up with diamonds to show who the richest hermit was.
The diamond redstone schtick was never vocally acknowledged by doc as far as I know. It was just a subtle quiet flex. 😂
Quite possibly the best running gag of the entire hermitcraft series TBH.
I think scars Ore mountain is on a similar vein btw.
It wasn't even so much about the diamond ore being really common - a bunch of Hermits (Cub, Grian, Scar, Hypno, Impulse are the ones I can think of off the top of my head) decided to have a... _bonemeal farm_ measuring contest to see whose 2x2 diamond ore pillar could be tallest and so everyone went mining almost obsessively. It was very lucky that Mumbo was the richest hermit on the server and kept it all hidden away in the vault or things could have been much worse 😂

It's so crazy watching Tango innovate on Redstone using bitwise operators but staying within the normal rules of redstone and then watching Doc just say to himself, "Forget the rules. How can we make this happen without the rules?"
Yeah, quite arguably the best part of having so many redstoners on the server is looking at just how different they all are. Even if they all built with the same blocks, you could easily tell who built each project just by figuring out what it does and how it works.
There's something so chaotically wholesome about Doc's murals ensueing mass internal discussion within Mojang, that ended up working in our favor.

It's crazy that minecraft has a robust scientific community that comes up with stuff like instant boat transport! There should be yearly awards for stuff like "advancements in Minecraft physics" and "farm engineering"
There’s something similar but not quite the same held by purplers or ‘purpledragonuke’. It’s like an awards ceremony for the redstone community in which the audience votes in several categories for who they think deserves it the most.
Not quite as specific as you mention but it’s worth a look at if your interested in that kind of stuff :)
At first, I was thinking, has Doc broken the speed of light in minecraft? Then I worked it out. Turns out light speed is really quick. 300000000m/s, so if it takes his device one tick to travel between points, those points would still need to be fifteen MILLION blocks apart to beat the speed of light. For comparison, that's about halfway to the border of the world in minecraft. Light would travel from one world border, sixty million blocks to the opposite world border, in just four game ticks, assuming 20 ticks per second.
I feel that docs team might set out on this task one day.
If I understand the mechanics right then I don't think that would be THAT hard.
Season 15 Doc: I thought elytra was a little slow, so I built this spaceship that travels at 99% of the fastest speed in the universe.
Grian: “weird what’s that building?… woah, so much lag!!!” *loads boats right before firing*
Grian is now permanently deaf because of the sonic boom caused by the launch.
The permit office is closed for six months while Grian recovers in the hospital.
Just like with Mumbo Jumbo's Slime Farm being a really good concept with poor execution, this wormhole generator's "Boat stack" technical functionality proves that in Season 8 Mumbo Jumbo was ten steps ahead of the technical game. This launcher is clearly inspired by the Boatem Pole and nobody can prove otherwise.

I'm super curious about what Microsoft's actually guide lines were for restricting "religious depictions" because im 100% positive I played an entire game on my Nintendo switch called Cult of the Lamb. Which has Gods and prayers etc.

@@epicthesweatybot5655 They are strict on religious content, mainly an extension from strict advertising rules around the world on religious content within advertising has spread into other areas, since they seen it easier to just outright deny than monitor appropriate use. But due to an employee pushing it with the Hermitcraft world on the marketplace as part of the argument to relax this for game map use, since local laws around the world only cover advertising use which they will need to maintain being strict on. Thats what my short quick research gathered anyway. Anyone with more accurate info could help.

I'm a java player, but it makes me so happy to see that you all worked so hard to make sure bedrock players would be able to enjoy the the season 9 world as it is for free. And the fact you managed to get Microsoft to relax overly strict policies on artwork too is amazing! (Massive kudos to the person on the inside who helped fight for it.)

Me: Really proud of my homebrewed auto tree farm and moss-based bonemeal farm made sans tutorials and with autosorting.
Doc: Harnesses the fundamental forces of the universe to break reality, all to, in essence, force everyone to shovel sand.
I.....I don't know how to feel.
Doc first started using diamond ore during the Great Diamond Wars of the early 2020's. Everyone was competing to see who had the most ores but Doc's perimeter project eant he had more than everyone else combined. So, he flexed by using it as a utility block instead of joining the competition. And has been doing it since.
When the boat appeared over the horizon I literally gasped out loud. This must be what NASA feels like lmaooo

I'd call it the fourfold fertilizer fabricator myself. The big b***r just seems... inappropriate.
If you end up needing a permit application, my advice is to come prepared:
1. Get the form from Scar
2. Answer every question with "the correct answer"
3. Create an archive in the permit office, and file a copy of your form in the section labelled "approved"
4. Create an outbox. Look up the permit creation command, and make the permit you're applying for. Put it in the outbox.
5. Tell Grian "I'm just here to pick up my permit. I already filed the paperwork with your assistant." (Know the names of Grian's two assistants.)
6. Bring duplicate paperwork (and a receipt), just in case.
7. Make sure your noteblock audio slider is zeroed out.
8. As a last resort, bring a horn preloaded with Grian saying "yes". Blow it everytime Grian tries to delay or disagree.
Optionally: flex on Grian by using nether portal mechanics to spawn a portal in the middle of his office, rather than taking the door. (Chorus fruit also works.)
An an exclusive bedrock console player, I didn't think I'd get to see the world first person.
Not gunna lie, after stopping for some gigapies, first thing I did was beeline it for The Perimeter. The feels standing at the bottom of it were intense.

Hermits build mail system that needs to load chunks but is insane and really cool…. Doc: “hold my beer”
So, funny thing about Bedrock Edition, redstone doesn't behave exactly as Java. For example, Bedrock doesn't have the ability to have TNT dupers,and other redstone mechanics that behave differently, etc. So my wife and I downloaded the S9 Hermitcraft world onto the Xbox Series X, and went immediately to the perimeter. Once we arrived and chunks loaded, the anvil cannon started to explode and throw TNT everywhere,lol.
Stop at minute 3 and asking myself.... will what ever Doc does be more mind breaking than Zedaph chicken, who carries a Villiger on it´s back?
At minute 6... awesome. HermitCraft does change the world. The Mural is fundamental for the Perimeter

I love how so much of Doc's channel and hermitcraft in general is about collaborative effort and community, whether it's innovation or the hivemind or the artists or the charity efforts! I love that everyone works hard to share with the community and that Doc shines a light on how cool that community can be. ❤
as someone who works on industrial accidents, those types of machines do exist and are very much in use. And they dont just break bones, they maim and kill

Maybe he meant the official Wii U Edition? Although you can play Minecraft on the Wii with homebrew but it's not a great experience.
Dig the enthusiastic response from Doc when the first boat appeared! Its one thing to plan and build, but its another thing entirely when the thing performs perfectly. Even an expert can find joy in success. And yes, its awesome. I cant believe he didn't show it to other hermits, though.

Edit: wouldn't it be more effective to craft bone meal into bone blocks to transfer them and then "unpack" blocks at the arrival? looks like it may transfer bone meal 9 times faster.
I think that would just add a very annoying bottleneck to the system: you can't speed up hoppers, so to do that crafting you'll slow down the whole packaging process from hoppers in parallel speed to redstone tick speed since a crafter will take best case 2 redstone ticks to craft a bone block (1 turning off, 1 turning on), not to mention crafters overflow way faster...
I think any time gained from needing to send less boats is lost with that bottleneck, it's just not worth the extra effort

So the amount of shulkers you're going to make it would be inconvenient to move them back to the moss farm. You could put them in a box but im sure you could find some way to annoy beef by making a building out of shulkers somewhere 😂

The perimeter is so much bigger when playing in person. The mural is so beautiful. My system keeps crashing while playing but I'm gonna persevere to explore it all

Just an idea. Wish you created this wormhole when you were working with Ren back in S8. I'm sure he'll be all over the place with his lore on this hyperspace goods transportation. 😅

I love that redstone for creating a wormhole is so complex, that you literally have to die to turn it on.
Normal humans: my skeleton spawner farm produces X bonemeal per hour. So, my log farm should use that much.
Doc: I need a bonemeal farm that produces 1k bonemeal per minute.
X episodes from now Doc won't even have needed to restock his shop, and will likely have forgotten about it entirely, on to some other crazy plan. Customers will still be working their way through their initial shulkers of logs. Running that thing for a half a day a month would put out enough logs that they could pave all the roads with them if they wanted. Postal Scarcity.
I remember watching the NEW world tour back in the day and being amazed at how each episode had some kind of revolutionary new tech in the build it featured. Good to see Doc and his community is still driving revolutions, just on an even larger scale. Having one of your creations persuade a super-corporation to relax its restrictions and improve the creative community on bedrock is an insane achievement

Double handing is using two hands on one object ,which is how one should use an axe 🪓
You can't really double wield axes in Minecraft (unless you want to strip your wood)
So I think it would make sense. Then again Doc was tired enough to say "double fisting" so I think it doesn't really matter rn
