    Driving a swather was my second favourite job when I was working for a hay contractor, especially at night. It was so relaxing, almost criminal to get paid for it. 🙂

    Great find Conley ! Just goes to show that even though companies try to make things "idiot proof" with installation or alignment marks somehow someone always finds a way ! LOL

    You talk about a hundred and ten acre field and I talk about a hundred acre farm. They are lucky to have you for the fixin. How fast do you go cutting the hay? It looks quick. Good video. Pax.

    That looks like rye grass;is that what you all call hay? I’m used alfalfa being hay. I imagine the protein is high with that rye.

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  5 месяцев назад +1

      People actually call it rye-wheat but I don’t know if it’s different than rye grass. And yea I guess it’s backwards for us lol this is hay and alfalfa would just be alfalfa bales

    Ii would think that the swather should be able to push a wider head for a wider swath to be more productive. Double that width-!
    What do you think-?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  5 месяцев назад +1

      That would be sweet but I think the way disc mowers are designed you can’t exceed 15 ft wide or else it doesn’t feed well into the middle
