      Just play roller hockey (the one played with quad skates), you have a top national league, the Lega Nazionale Hockey Serie A1.

    I think you forgot to mention the pants (full length pants) which go over the inline/roller girdle and would be a separate purchase. Where as ice "pants" are 1 item even though they look like shorts.

    Great video guys! Love this new line of vids and I definitely have a request!
    I think it would be great if experienced players such as yourselves made a video on wheel rockering. Even if Marsblade is all the rage right now, wheel rockering is a rather cheap way of simulating an ice blade...
    A full 76-80-80-76 rocker worked miracles in my case; still, when I did this, I wasn't sure it would work. There is surprisingly little and, many times, even contradicting information on the internet about rockering!
    Thanks!

    Great Video!!! It clarified a lot of things for me. Unfortunately, you haven't covered the stick. Are they the same? Could I use a wooden stick (Inline Hokey) to play Ice Hockey? And vice versa?
    Thanks

    • @t2dwarrior209

      The stick is the same except the blade. The blade is more of a hard ABS blade so it glides well. Use a wood ice hockey blade on a roller surface and it's gonna splinter.

    Good to know. I miss playing ice hockey and we've been searching for strictly ice hockey equipment. In the days of old, there was a huge difference but I guess nowadays there isn't much. Probably why I don't need to pay $50,000 of equipment anymore.
    ACTUALLY: New question: What's the difference between GOALIE equipment between the two sports???

    • @brookeweller3622
      @brookeweller3622 3 года назад

      I’m not a goalie, but I play both and as far as I can tell, there is no difference in goalie gear. Some goalies buy sliders for their pads to simulate sliding on the ice.

    Knee & elbow pads are not always the same in both. Roller hockey knee & elbow pads are not as thick & aggressive as ice hockey pads. Don't think so, then try using roller hockey knee/shin pads on the ice & feel how getting hit in the shins with an ice hockey pick feels Vs actual ice hockey pads.

    • @brookeweller3622
      @brookeweller3622 3 года назад

      I didn’t know there is a difference. Are you referring to strictly roller hockey brands that differ in padding? I just use Bauer vapors for both.

    • @t2dwarrior209
      @t2dwarrior209 3 года назад

      @@brookeweller3622 all equipment specifically made for roller hockey are thinner & more conservative than ice hockey equipment. Even the gloves are less thick, girdles less thick, shin guards less thick, and roller hockey pants are worn over pads instead of hockey socks. Ice hockey sticks are different from roller hockey as well. I've hickey has wood blades while roller hockey has ABS blades.

    • @brookeweller3622
      @brookeweller3622 3 года назад

      @@t2dwarrior209 Hmm. I didn’t know that. What brands, Tour, Mission? The most common gear is just generic Bauer and CCM. The only person I’ve seen with abs on a blade is my dad. 😂 He just plays with other old guys. All of my friends, teammates, and coaches use composite sticks. Not roller or ice special, just general. Some of my friends have the Geo and Super Sonic. I’ve also never seen an ice hockey player with a wood stick, well once but it was like a two month a year so beginner team in a remote town. It ended up snapping when I legit passed the puck to it so softly. 😂

    • @t2dwarrior209
      @t2dwarrior209 3 года назад

      @@brookeweller3622 yeah, all those hockey companies sell both ice and roller hockey equipment. Back in the day I played in both ice and roller hockey leagues. I made the mistake of packing my roller hockey knee/shin guards with my equipment instead of the ice hockey one's. Ended up taking a slap shot to the shin and it left a major bruise. Ice hockey pads I don't even feel the impact. I had a metal hockey stick that I used the old torch to heat up & interchange ice hockey blades with roller hockey blades when needed. I played Jr hockey till turned 18yo. Then played in-house roller hockey leagues and in the OVHL(Ohio Valley Roller Hockey League). Those most likely don't exist anymore it was so long ago. While stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia I played in a roller hockey league in Savannah, GA as well. Miss those days.

    • @brookeweller3622
      @brookeweller3622 3 года назад

      @@t2dwarrior209 Wow. Awesome. I didn’t know some brands sell both. I guess I’m glad I wear ice shin guards because tonight my roller coach slashed my shins on purpose and it didn’t hurt at all. 😂 A metal stick sounds gnarly, like the one Gretzky used? I play in California. I have played Georgia at State Wars, not sure about Ohio.

Their are a lot of things different from your video from what we played. 1 we used a round ball not a puck. 2 We used all the same pads as ice hockey players. 3 not all the players had inline skates most of use used regular skates. 4 Last but not least we did checking all the time.

    I play inline and ice and you don't have to wear a girdle. and the sticks aren't the same. the ice sticks have composite on the blade and the inline sticks have some type of hard plastic called a.b.s. the inline sticks are wood and the ice sticks are composite

    • @deen1789
      @deen1789 8 лет назад +2

      You can use composite sticks for inline and wooden sticks for ice if you want.

    • @ryjohnson8752
      @ryjohnson8752 8 лет назад

      X3Cuber feel free to spend hundreds of dollars on composite sticks just to ruin them in 5 games. If your going to use a wood stick on ice it means you suck and are poor as fuck

    • @deen1789
      @deen1789 8 лет назад +1

      +Ry Johnson that's if it has a composite blade. You can get composite shafts with an abs blade. Also you would only ruin the composite stick's blade if you are playing on a rough surface. Watch any of nasher61's videos. He uses a composite stuck, the Bauer vapor 1x. Also you can get composite sticks from about 50 bucks, like the Bauer supreme 160.

    • @deen1789
      @deen1789 8 лет назад +1

      +Ry Johnson also I forgot to mention that wooden sticks have advantages over composite sticks too, like a better puck feel.

    • @CAVEMANsean
      @CAVEMANsean 9 лет назад +1

      Yes, they're not actually roller hockey pants, they're just a girdle. Roller hockey pants are like actual pants with full legs to cover the shin gaurds. To answer your question though, yes you can use these in both, to use the girdle in ice hockey you need a pant shell, which is basically ice hockey pants without pads (because you already have the pads in the girdle) hope this helps bud!

    Traditional roller hockey is played with a ball and the skates are not inline, they are quad skates. These enable a freer movement than inline skates. Plus, there are no helmets, apart from the goalkeeper.
