I understand what you are saying (no such thing as the perfect man) but my husband never worked during our marriage just was not his thing - then post marriage i had a relationship with an old friend who turned out to be an addict and had a lot of guilt from his ex wife - who he wanted back to make it right and be a family man again all while “being in love with me” for years.
I have my self respect back and will see the red flags going forward.
