    The good thing is the dry barn and the polytunnel are shiny and clean with all this rain.

      True! The barn keeps flooding but that means I can clean off the concrete 😆

    Nice to see Margaret relaxing! We've had the same crazy winds and rain in Kent.

      It's been really bad this year, hasn't it?! I seems a lot of countries are dealing with weird weather. 😕

    Glad you and all the animals were ok in the storm. The caravan walls shaking was a bit scary. Sorry about the bird hide hope it’s upright now.

      Thank you - and no serious damage. Bird hide is still down as can't get it upright, but salvaged the trail camera from underneath so it's not ruined.

    Those caravan walls were scary! We had similar gusty wind here in Hampshire yesterday. So pleased all the animals were fine but the bird hide blowing over was a shock to see. Do hope you can get some help with it soon. Calmer and dry here today. Looks as tho Winter is about to start as the temperature is set to fall and the frost coming back. I am itching to start sowing seeds but I must remain patient. 😊

      I know, New Years Day was SO beautiful it made me want to sow so I'm kinda glad it's gonna get a bit colder!
      And yes - was scary but bizarrely I felt calmer than normal - I think because I was here. Normally I'd be so anxious about the animals, but i was literally able to step out and go check. So much peace of mind.

    That wind looked terrifying. Your lucky you didn't have more damage.

      Very lucky. It sounded much worse than it was I think

    Awful here in Belgium 🇧🇪 too. Only 6 hours of sun in December. Rain and wind most days.

    Weirdly, here in Victoria Australia, where it's supposed to be summer, we're getting similar weather🎉 Jeez, what's going on!

      That's super interesting! But also really annoying! Maybe we've all just been put into constant rain - we all need noahs' arks

    Hey Geoff. Looks like you've had similar stormy weather to us. To see the walls of your home moving like that was alarming.
    Glad you had no serious, lasting damage, neither did we. Plenty of shelter for your stock in the barn.
    We all have an 'messy' area, it took us 5 years to sort our place out. Colder weather on the way for us, according ti the forecast.
    Best. Johnny and Jacob.

    Wow the pit really is flooded!

    • @BrimwoodFarm
      @BrimwoodFarm  9 месяцев назад +1

      Right?! It has always flooded being the lowest part of the farm before the river but this year it is more than I've ever seen.

    Fallen trees were ash trees. At the size, you videod they can be toppled very easily . Take care.

    • @BrimwoodFarm
      @BrimwoodFarm  9 месяцев назад

      Aha, thanks Colin. Yes - they don't see to have a lot of strength in them and looking at the root ball, it seemed very small considering the height of the trees!

    Fencing that's too tattered to use as fencing can be used as decorative trellises. 💖🌞🌵😷

    Junk piles are the bane of my existence! I'm getting rid of all my barbed wire... HATE the stuff! I was looking at my fences yesterday and today... I'm gonna need some new posts there's a lot of how-are-you-still-standing fencing 🤦🏻‍♀️

      @BrimwoodFarm  9 месяцев назад

      😅 I love that!! I don't want my barb either ... it came free with a load of other stuff I got as a job lot. Where can we get rid? Any ideas?
