I watched this in Barcelona. I don't speak Japanese or Spanish. And that's all that was available. But even I felt that haki and got goosebumps. I was on the edge of my seat!
This scene truly shows why Shanks is so powerful and feared. While he doesn't have a god like Devil Fruit like Teach, Big Mom or Kaido, nor their seemingly super human durability his mastery of Haki is unparalleled and is likely the best user of all three forms in the world. He managed to even bring down Vice Admirals with his Haki and thanks to him only being 39 at this point he's still well in his prime and likely the second best Swordsman Alive. All that together basically means both Kizaru and Fujitora wouldn't be able to handle him as despite both being powerful, it's mainly their Devil Fruits that make them Scary and Shanks can easily handle that.
@@TheGrandmasterfro dunno about being stronger. It is complicated to scale both since they were equals before Shanks losing an arm and if Shanks is considered a swordsman or not. I know he has a sword but his fighting style may not revolve around using only a sword hence not putting him in that category. If he's a swordsman then I guess Mihawk being the n1 would mean that Shanks is weaker, but I don't really see it being "clearly stated" narratively in the story. If anything Shanks seem to be portrayed as the strongest and untouchable right now. It could also be simply argued that a yonko > warlord just as Mihawk's n1 title making him the greatest character in terms of power.

It just doesn't work that way, there is the reality which is perceived by the common people in the One Piece world and then there is the reality that we as an audience get to see.

Man Kizzaru is something else, fought the former right hand of the pirate king, gave 0 fucks when beckman had a gun to his face, casually suggested intercepting 2 yonkos, and now felt one of the strongest conqueror's haki in the series and still gave 0 fucks.

How can it not be stopped? 😕 They didn't fight him because: 1. The film is not canonical, so both sides cannot kill each other. 2. Kizaru sparred with Shanks, and in the manga he was going to stand alone against the alliance of Big Mama and Kaido. 3. The Admirals did not fight because all the civilians on the island would have died in their battles. 4. Admirals cannot declare war or conflict with any Yonko without an order above.
I don’t speak Japanese, but I’m pretty sure Fujitora was basically just using that Haki burst as an excuse to not have to attack 🤣 it seems like the kind of moral thing he’d do.
I love the beautiful depiction of his god-like haki. Its uniquely different from other big-name haki users like kaido and big mom. and considerably more powerful too!
I'd love to know what Shanks's goal is. White Beard seemed to be gathering crew of every kind of person to make them his family. Big Mom seemed to be hooking up with powerful people and having kids to have a family made up of every kind of person. And trying to create purposeful giantism. Kaido wants to create a kingdom of of weirdo animal devil fruit users and conquer... Everyone... But what about Shanks? What does he want?
So far, I think he just wants to see the world and live all the adventures he can with his crew, like he did with the Roger Pirates. However, considering the magnitude of his Haki, I don't doubt there's probably something more to his apparent simple desires.
