I wish the fight between Molly and Bellatrix was longer in the movie. In the book the duel was far more intense and Bellatrix was constantly taunting Molly about killing her family and Fred's death.Another epic thing that happened when Molly finally kills Bellatrix, Voldemort screams in rage.
To me, the whole end in the book is better. Voldemort is duelling McGonagall, Slughorn, and Shacklebolt all at once before Molly kills Bellatrix. Harry saves Molly after that and Voldemort dies in the Great Hall, while everyone else is watching. Harry and Voldemort first have a long conversation and all the other people standing around are listening. Many things are explained during this conversation, including Snape's roll in the story. The end of the movie was pretty disappointing. Especially, the fact that Harry doesn't repair his wand in the movie.

Helena is the PERFECT Bellatrix, she's so talented! It seems like Bellatrix stepping out from the books, and scares us even further for being so alive. And of course, "Not my daughter, you BITCH." Omg the level of satisfying when Molly acutally says that!

Don't we all? I think it's because it's like yeah we get it Voldemort is evil but umbridge is cruel and mean personally to the students, as well as the fact that we can relate to it as we all have some sort of umbridge in our lives.
The thing about Umbridge as a character is she's FAAARR TOOOO REALISTIC a character; at some point in our lives we had to deal with an actual Umbridge. Power-tripping, condescending, bossy....Voldemort is a larger than life fictional character that's why we're like "oh yeah cool he's the villain. But Umbridge is just downright THAT BITCH.
Umbridge is the character created solely for us to hate. That is her entire purpose. Voldemort, on the other hand, we come to understand on a very deep level, so it is harder to hate his entire character.
I loved Helena’s view on Bellatrix’s personality being like “why you so upset you have some spares, what are you on about?” Feels spot on and I love it.
Molly comes from a strong family of wizards. The fact that she's a housekeeper makes her look weak but technically the love for her children makes her more stronger than Bellatrix.
+hannie kimii Molly's grief over Fred's death gave her some kind of power-up. and Bella keeps underestimating Molly by laughing and taunting instead of focusing her stance. if the duel goes any other way, no war, no death, no malice, just normal Duel Championship Contest, Bella would won by sheer skill.
rob140892 remember that Molly was not only dealing with the loss of a son (Fred) but she had outrageously strong emotions about Percy (turned his back on family but just returned) and Bill (having been attacked by a werewolf) stoking the fires of her mother's heart too - her fierce passions had been building from at least Order of the Phoenix - Bellatrix didn't have a chance!
rob140892 One of the reasons Bellatrix is so powerful and wipes the floor with nearly everyone she duels with is because unlike them, she doesn't hold back. She embraces her dark side and has no regard for anyone but herself- even fellow Death Eaters. When Molly fought Bellatrix, she had no reason to hold back. That's the reason why Molly won- that and the fact that Bellatrix underestimated her.

If you read the book, Bellatrix gives a similar exhilarating laugh to Sirius when he goes through the archway. Much like how his single second of boasting caught Sirius off guard, Molly aims a spell at Bellatrix as she boasts of killing her children as soon as she kills her. Just goes to show that even the strongest witches and wizards can be taken by surprise. Besides, for the first time, Molly was fighting to kill. Her desire to protect her children likely powered her more than she would've done otherwise. I actually set up pretty well through the series. From her visible loss of weight and worry about her children and Harry, having to see Bill scarred and near death, and the grief of her worst fear having come true with Fred's death and Harry's supposed death(in the book, nobody knew that Harry was alive at this point), and the determination to face these fears once and for all. It's quite a fitting conclusion to her character arc. If you haven't read all 7 books, you'll think this came from nowhere. It's also keeping with the theme of love being a source of power stronger than even the most powerful kind of magic. Much like Snape was largely driven by his love for Lily, she was driven by love for her children. Rowling does it pretty well. Thefilms never do justice to certain aspects of the book.

This caught me off guard in the book... then I recalled how scary Molly was in the earlier books. Any mother who does her job right knows how to be this powerfully frightening.
"You wouldn't expect this motherly character to have this aggression" ....English mums must be incredibly different from Brazilian/Latin mums then. There's a reason for the saying "never get between a mother and her cub". Also, where have you been for the entire series, Rupert? Mrs. Weasley is frakkin' terrifying when it comes to the safety of her kids!
Latin american here. Holy shit you are right, our mothers are the description of satan on earth when they are angry. Same thought when Rupert said that, didn't he remember all the anger his mother felt when he took the car?
I think most mothers would be this description..!!.Believe me , I would have tried and fought with as much aggression if anybody threaten my children. I like Molly a lot and the actress is very GOOD, but all are in this ...
This scene always made me emotional. The theme of motherly love is what brought this whole series together in the first place. To see the strength and courage Molly gained from her love for her children is really moving.
this is 100% the best battle in any movie ever. the power in both of their voices, the strength coming from the character you wouldnt believe to have such. both actresses are wonderful, and this scene in and of itself goes to show how far a parent would go for their children. amazing acting and one of a kind performance from both women. 12/10 rating from me
SPOILERS, sweetie! I thought it was kind of the least surprising thing in the whole saga, honestly. I mean, Bellatrix was so insanely devoted to him, and her husband was pretty much her tool anyway, so the most surprising thing to me was that Voldemort went along with it. Because I'm sure she's the one who originally gave them the idea (fanon, not canon). And if I remember correctly one of the books even said something about there having once been rumours of that very event occurring. It's been a while since I reread them though. :)
I swear, I'm such a Helena Bonham Carter fan! How can you not be? With all of her work, you can tell that she gets so into it and puts her absolute very best in it and she never just "half asses" a job. Brilliant woman; brilliant actress, hands down!
I was reading this part of the book in class... I screamed “NO!!! FUCK YOU MOLLY!!!" on the TOP of my lungs. My teacher was pissed and asked me to share with the class why I would do that and when I told her tearfully that it was cuz Bellatrix died she laughed mad hard and said “10points to Slytherin for loyalty. Carry on"
Bellatrix Lovett I'm a kindergarten teacher and one day, kids were playing Harry Potter and, according to my collegues, just wóuldn't be quiet. So I walked in, put my jacket on as a cloak, got a stick from the ground, ran up to the kids and screamed; Silencio!' The kids were actually overwhelmed and two of them still needed to clean up their toys that they played with before. So I said; 'Imperio, clean up those toys and you can continue.' And left the room again. When I came back, all the work was done and the kids were quietly playing.
I loved the movie but Molly defeated Bellatrix WAY too quickly and easily. It was an obvious crowd pleaser. Bella was much more powerful. Honestly the whole movie felt rushed.
it was much better in the books and quite a few moments in the films felt rushed or like they could have been changed to fit in better though that's just my opinion
@@varianmetcalf8220 I agree. Part 2 was barely 2 hours long whereas Part 1 was almost 3. It did feel like they rushed through a lot of things (the scene in my OP,) Voldemort's death, Harry's time in limbo, etc. Other parts such as Snape's death were masterfully done.
@@astrangerhere ikr sometimes i find movies good, but sometimes they just aren't that realistic, bellatrix has learned far more dangerous spells than molly, so it should take more people and far more time to defeat someone like bellatrix, she's literally voldemorts right hand. Overall, I really love the movie and the actors did such a great job, so I don't really mind, but it would of definitly been more exciting.
A Stranger Here, Don’t forget - Voldemort was a very powerful wizard, but the love of Harry’s mother defeated him once. Molly’s love for her children gave her strength. Plus she was much more powerful than anybody gave her credit for.
We must not forget, that Bella had a baby just shortly before the Hogwarts battle. Pregnancy and giving birth is draining and Bellatrix surly didn't rest appropriately. Also maybe it's this lack of having a child herself but not the love that gives Molly incredible strength that makes them so uneven matched components. Molly is being fueled with power by having children while Bella is weakened by it.Her beeing unable to understand love. The most powerful and crucial love, the love a mother can feel for her child. She makes the same mistakes as her master after all.
To this day, my inner nerd sheds a tear and gets goosebumps during this scene - memories of Molly being such a sweet but fierce woman - her Mama Bear came out full-force and that’s both terrifying and inspiring. Fiction is such a lovely thing.
2:40 Yes, it's true that Bellatrix has no morals and that lowness does give her a certain strength-for her, nothing is out of bounds. But Molly DOES care about something; she loves her daughter fiercely. So she fights for her daughter with that fierceness ignited. So of course Molly destroys Bellatrix. Love is always stronger, and love will always win.
I still think that the last Harry Potter movie brought out the best in every character. And I think that Alan Rickman (may he rest in peace) should have won a god damn Oscar for what he did in this movie. And this scene between Molly and Bellatrix was just epic. When Molly kills Bellatrix...that satisfied grin on her face...and the pure madness with which Helena portrait Bellatrix. Simply amazing.
It's unethical that Helena Bonham Carter has never won an Oscar, an actress like her is a treasure for movie industry....

lol he 😂
yay Mrs. weasly
"---That's completely weird and inappropriate."
*sounds like Helena's deleted scenes*
And we wanna see those deleted scenes 😄
Even better duel idea then this.
Bellatrix vs Umbridge.
Mickey Wetherington For once I would be rooting for Bellatrix.
That would be a great duel.
But Bellatrix would destroy Umbri- ohh...I see.
+Mickey Wetherington I think you meant Bellatrix vs Umbitch.
Also, Totally rooting for Bellatrix!
i will support Bellatrix in this fight
No one:
Literally no one:
Bellatrix: HAHAHAHAHAHA
J Srushti no
HAHAHAHAHAHHSHAHAA I DID IT
J Srushti (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖(ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖(ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖(ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖(ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖
Voldemort:HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHE
What I didn't say when I saw nobody at the beginning
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
“You’ve got a spare you’ve got other children”
Bella: A warrior of the dark side
Also Bella: *hihihihihiiiii*
Also bella: CISSY!!
also Bella:* proceeds to wreck 4 people at once*
😄😅😅😅
i bet The next time Mrs Weasley told one of the kids to take the bins out they did it Quick as
or cleaning their room... they will run quickly jajajaja
Tom Williams Productions, Why would they when they would have a spell to take care of garbage ;)
Brooklyn Hill there is "evanesco" spell.. But they must do it at old fashion
A little late, don't you think? Only Ginny still lives at the Burrow after the battle of Hogwarts. Your joke fails
Bernard Soul only if you over think it, which you btw NEVER DO WITH JOKES
Jokes are supposed to be funny, not make sense. I can't believe I'm actually telling you this, it should be obvious
Can we all agree that Helena is the most amazing actress I’ve ever seen
When Helen said"When Bellatrix.."
I was like"BUT YOURE BELLATRIX
Aaiza Asghar it was a joke, most everyone knows that...
Will Greigh Grammar, much?"must everyone know that" LMAO
ROBLOX Player Of Awesomeness why did you put "must everyone know that"
in quotes if that's not what I said, and exactly what are attacking about my grammar?
Carol Asuncion where did u hear DAT????
Carol Asuncion well they are different people I mean if Bellatrix was in our world Helena and bellatrix would be different people
Up to now i still wish the dueling stuff happening on the other side have made the final cut in the film. Would've loved to see Madam Pomfrey in action. And also more of Professor McGonagall.
They cut so much from the film and we have yet to see it 4 years later :/
i would have loved to see McGonagall/Slughorn/Shaklebolt v Voldemort like it is in the books
I wanted to see the scene from the book when the house elves came flying out of the kitchen......l
“It’s great to see two girls have a fight”
You seriously don’t want to
LMAOAOAO
Yep you don’t
But when they do, they have a girl to girl talk.
I saw two girls fighting back in high school. I sat there like I was watching a movie lol, a teacher had to break up the fight.
I have one phase to describe it......
Two cats.....
Helena is my favourite person from the whole cast. She is amazing as Bella
Salvador Sandoval for one second I thought you were talking about Bella from Twilight. That confused me lol
Bellatrix Lestrange Is My Favorite.
@@marvelousmoondoka3032 lol yeah I don't think a lot of people would share that opinion in Twilight...
Julie: it was lovely to work with Helena she is so fun!
Helena: HEHEHEHHEHEEH
I find it fascinating how Helena plays Bellatrix so fiercely, but in real life, is the calmest person in the world
3:08 I CRIED OF LAUGHTER she's so funny
"what are you on about, you've got a spare, you've got other children" lmao
Only one daughter
This caught me off guard in the book... then I recalled how scary Molly was in the earlier books. Any mother who does her job right knows how to be this powerfully frightening.
AMEN! Heaven help the idiot who ever attacks MY child! I’m a dragon at heart.
Helena is just perfect Bellatrix
This is one of the main reasons Molly has made it onto number 5 on my favourite character list..
Bellatrix is my 2nd
dave that guy
Bellatrix is 4th c:
[on my list]
1. Ginny/Hermione [love them both, can't decide]
2. Hagrid
3. Ron, Fred & George
4. Bellatrix
5. Molly
:3
1. Harry and Molly
2. Serius
3. Snape
4. Hermione and Ron
5. Luna
6. Dumbledore
infinity(MOST hated/least favorite): Voldemort and Bellatrix
1) Harry Potter
2) Lord Voldemort
3) Fred & George Weasley
4) Hermione and Ron
5) Sirius Black
“You’re gonna get it!!!” ....The fact that she was teasing Helena days before the shooting 😂
+PaddySnuffles "Ronald weasley! HOW DARE YOU TAKE THE CAR??!!
Widdekuu91 "If you put another TOE out of line, we're bringing you straight home!"
+PaddySnuffles Oh and Ginny dear. Congratulations on making Gryffindor, your father and I are só proud.
Haha 😂 Julie saying “I think really I should’ve defeated Voldemort” and whispering when she said Voldemort 😂
I love Helen at 1:02 I just think she is so humble. I've noticed she is good at playing absolutely crazy characters.
Art is a great way to let it all hang out. For sure.
So cute face :)
12/10 rating from me
Two of THE BEST British actresses.
This woman is defo not a Karen
*shes a Molly*
"I'm very honored that she kills me"
--Helena Carter.
“You’ve got a spare” 😂
maggi boyd, I laughed so hard. The way the embodied that characters... just wow!
Best line ever
That's the most bellatrix line to say
I love Bellatrix! and I think her character was so intense and Helena just played it perfectly! love her!
You're right!
Somebody has to make a story where Molly just single handedly beats the Death Eaters.
Anyone else utterly disgusted at how Bellatrix and Voldemort had a child?
Well, they do in Cursed Child, I'm assuming. But in my universe (haven't read that) they don't :)
+Cupcake Blossom lol XD
Are you serious? Where you read that?
iFlaimar SHE DIED
What did it for me was Helena acting as Hermione acting as Bellatrix. That sealed the deal for me, I almost forgave her for killing Dobby. Almost.
Bellatrix forgot rule #1: Don't awaken someone's inner Mamma Bear by threatening her children!!!
This is what a mother would do when her children's in danger. Hat's off to all the great mothers in the world.
Children
I totally agree. A true mother's instict
Yup
I remember watching this scene in the movie theater, the audience reacted as if they were watching a goal at the World Cup finals, just thrilling
0:10 that laugh though 😂
HEEE HEEE HEEE HEEE
I was reading this part of the book in class... I screamed “NO!!! FUCK YOU MOLLY!!!" on the TOP of my lungs. My teacher was pissed and asked me to share with the class why I would do that and when I told her tearfully that it was cuz Bellatrix died she laughed mad hard and said “10points to Slytherin for loyalty. Carry on"
Your teacher would be a great death eater
i want a teacher like that, mine are all muggles that don't even know what a good book is
Gryffindor won the fight!
Bellatrix Lovett I'm a kindergarten teacher and one day, kids were playing Harry Potter and, according to my collegues, just wóuldn't be quiet.
So I walked in, put my jacket on as a cloak, got a stick from the ground, ran up to the kids and screamed; Silencio!'
The kids were actually overwhelmed and two of them still needed to clean up their toys that they played with before.
So I said; 'Imperio, clean up those toys and you can continue.' And left the room again. When I came back, all the work was done and the kids were quietly playing.
I wish you were my teacher
"Not my daughter you BITCH!" Possibly one of the crowing moment of the books.
greg powell: “it’s good to see two girls have a fight”
*alright my guy*
I remember the audience screaming with joy when that bitch blew up.
Our Divine Potential Bellatrix??
" I left that to others" hahaha man I love that
I remember watching this in the cinema with my wife and when Molly casts that final spell the whole place erupted.
"It's good to see two girls having fun"
That sounded so wrong now that you point it out haha
I bet the next time Mrs weasly ask to the childrens clean their room... they will run quickly
Theyre both so beautiful omg!! I love julies natural hair here!!
"It was lovely working with Helena, she's such fun!"
EEEEEEE
I'm dead 😂
i think that molly used “petrificus totalus” and then used “bombarda maxima” which is why bellatrix became stiff and then blasted apart
I did this scene for drama class I was bellatrix and lets just say it was so much fun to fling your body in such emotion
To this day, my inner nerd sheds a tear and gets goosebumps during this scene - memories of Molly being such a sweet but fierce woman - her Mama Bear came out full-force and that’s both terrifying and inspiring. Fiction is such a lovely thing.
Makes me want to go back and watch these again looking for disposed water bottles.
❤️ The look Molly gives after she kills bellatrix
Don't mess with a momma protecting their young.
This is why you never mess with Mama Weasley and her family...
Better idea
Umbridge vs ALL of the wizards she sent to azkaban for 'stealing' the wands.
After the war she did get a life sentence in Azkaban
I still think that the last Harry Potter movie brought out the best in every character. And I think that Alan Rickman (may he rest in peace) should have won a god damn Oscar for what he did in this movie. And this scene between Molly and Bellatrix was just epic. When Molly kills Bellatrix...that satisfied grin on her face...and the pure madness with which Helena portrait Bellatrix. Simply amazing.
I love behind the scenes you see the actors and actresses have fun and showing their love for their work
No one:
Nobody at all:
Molly:I think I should I defeated Voldemort but I left that to others.
Omg thanks for all the likes!
“I feel very honored that she kills me.” WTF!!😂😂😂
It's interesting that she says she's "not as fit" but I saw it as a mama bear protecting her cubs. Ferociously.
Helena is such a great actress i love her
I love how Julie defeats Bellatrix and is like who's next XD
