Billy, I can’t help but wonder did you ever imagine that people all around the world would get so much joy from watching you bring these beauties back to life😊
Livin in a big 300 years old house on the countryside. :D It makes a lot of noises. But mostly it's some small animals on the attic walking around past twelve in the night. :D
Billy, I really appreciate how you take the time to explain your choice in methods and materials used in your renovation at the Convent! I see it being helpful in several ways. Cheers Billy 🤗
@aprilanywhere3879 I've grown up knowing to just live with what I see and hear on a regular basis, but I don't really talk about it much. The only thing I really struggle with is on the odd occasion is being woken and my feet have been sat on, pushing my feet into the matrass. I just put my head under the duvet and wait for them to go. This is the truth, I just don't talk about it as love where I live.
We rented a house from a friend whose father had just died in it. He imagined himself as an inventor/decorator/handyman type. He was a drunk. Anyway, one day I was grumbling out loud about the ugly cabinets he'd installed when this great gust of wind came through the house (it was not a windy day at all) and all the doors slammed, every one of them! So I yelled, "I don't think so old man! Get out of here NOW!!!" Didn't hear a peep the rest of the time we lived there.
Fix Your Doggie Door 🐶 I just finished binge watching everything on this channel. Ive been waiting a long time to say that.. LoL I’m speaking of the kitchen door that is centered on its wall. Because compared to the windows surrounding it, it’s a tiny doggie door. You don’t need a new door, just have the carpenter build an arch cap that would coordinate with the tops of those beautiful and huge windows You may not want the door the exact height as the windows, but that door definitely needs more oomph. This would had also solved the issue with your monster sized cabinet you left in the kitchen wall and then removed. By increasing the height of this one door, it would have minimized the overwhelming size of that built in cabinet. Whooo, it’s finally off my chest. None the less, I’m hooked .. However, now everyday I’m stuck waiting on your next video 😢
When I live in a house in London we would always hear people walking in the attic so I concluded that the attics were linked. Then one day I got a ladder and went up and the thick layer of dust was intact and the attics didn't communicate. The noises didn't stop but I got used to them.
That happened to me when I lived in an old house in Cheltenham. I used to hear walking in the attic a lot and assumed the same, but the attics weren't connected. I got used to living with my ghosts and came to ignore them.
I thought this with noises I sometimes heard. It turned out to be birds (Starlings and/or pigeons) clonking about in the eaves and guttering!! I found a lot of blobs of moss on the patio so realised they were having a clear out to make space for their nests!!
My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights in a four hundred year old house in Ireland. There were more than footsteps coming from the third floor( we were both reluctant to go up there period ( night or day). Something did not like us staying there. We were woken up at 3:00 am every night by LOUD sounds ..
I love watching you, and your family’s and friends’ channels from Queens New York City! Your choice of music is what I grew up listening to it was my adad’s favorite music he was boor in the Pennsylvania part of Appalachia in the 1920’s. My Dad was a lot like your Dad!
Oooooh the daily joy of watching Pethericks. It’s so much fun to watch it slowly become a dream house/convent/whatever 😂 Having ghost hunt events might be something for the future? 😅
Hi Edward. I'm in NZ too, and completely hooked on this project, and all their satellite projects, too. After a couple of years they all feel a bit like family, eh. Cheers Bro. 😊
BILLY! It makes me happy that you have Yanis there working with you because I was always worried when you worked alone on ladders and all sorts. Wish Ryan could afford such help so he’s not alone and inexperienced taking down beams if you please…
Just remember, if they posted the video, they survived the day. Which definitely helped when watching Dan Preston in his early solo days at his chateau.
That foil insulation is pretty awesome to put in your boots when you're working outside in the cold. Gives you warmth and extra cushion. Ive enjoyed watching you guys work. I love the smell of new construction. Best smell in the world.
Slow and steady wins the race as they say. You 2 work so well together. Seeing all you have accomplished and qatching Sadie and Stan just getting started i have endless content to sooth my soul
Hmmm, wonder what that noise was! You are a real perfectionist, Billy, and you quality of your work shines through! Yanis is always so eager to do whatever you ask of him, and he does quality work, too! Love from Pennsylvania, USA💕🌷🐻
So glad you had a happy birthday Yanis and that you enjoy spending all your birthday money, it was my pleasure to bless you 😊 Very exciting seeing your vision slowly becoming a reality Billy, excellent work both of you 😊
Great job Gentlemen. This is going to be a lovely library. Hopefully, you can find some antique books to fill it as well. The nuns are curious about what is happening to the building now. They seen the last renovation and watched things being changed and not really for the betterment of the building. Have a great day
Nearly half a million subscribers - it is getting close. I expect your "friend" was just checking on the progress! The upstairs part of the library is going to be pretty amazing. 🤩
Hi Billy, I was wondering how the floor is doing. You had said you weren't sure how it was going to do with moisture. I know you're trying to keep things interesting while you're doing the ceiling. I just thought maybe checking up on it would be nice. I love all you and your crew/family have been doing for all these old buildings in France. Keep up the great work.❤
Great job Billy and Yanis.I love seeing the progress you make. It’s a bit slower with only two of you but that’s ok it means we get to see more of you.
Yes, it's been snowing flurries across the middle of Illinois for the last two days. Although my home is old and has thick walls, I feel an occasional draft that I need to fix. Keep warm you two.
They seem so invested in what *you're* doing, Billy. More than anyone else working at the convent. I'm truly impressed with your even keel response every time this happens. Not easy to stay calm in the face of who knows what. And correct me if you've sensed otherwise; but whether they're angry, interested, confused, or even trying to be scary, there's no sense of evil from what I've seen.
Your eternal permanent residents are just approving on all the work you've done. They are the best project mangers you can have. But the library is really starting to come together as is the rest of the building renovations.
It sounds to me like you have an area that wind whistles through. I’m certain there are no drafts in the convent ( she says facetiously). Love to watch the progress of not only the restoration and rehabilitation, but also the growth of skills and confidence of Janis.
Poor ghost nun just tried to walk into her bedroom and fell through a bloody great hole in the floor! 😂😂
I'm splitting my sides laughing!
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you, thank you, hilarious!
🤣🤣👍👍
Billy, I can’t help but wonder did you ever imagine that people all around the world would get so much joy from watching you bring these beauties back to life😊
Count me in watching your great project in development.

I love watching this renovation! Yuma, AZ
I tune in every day, loving it. Boyne City, Michigan
Diamond Bar, California
Yanis is becoming a force to be reckoned with, he is so efficient
My home is only 70 years old and makes all kinds of creepy creaky noises. I can’t imagine what noises a 250 building makes!!
Livin in a big 300 years old house on the countryside. :D It makes a lot of noises. But mostly it's some small animals on the attic walking around past twelve in the night. :D
I imagine those sounds are the building sighing in relief. 😌
and saying, "oh these dear boys," with such gratitude and affection. 🙂💛
Such nice music. Dug out my phone, Shazamed it, and added it to my pleasant music playlist 😊
The ghost saying ooooh I like it❤
😅😅
The ghost was happy that Billy was centring the door opening 😁.
😊
Love you guys, I look forward to your videos everyday 🇨🇦
Of course Yannis did a fantastic job - look who taught him!
Great to see this moving along so quickly! Very exciting
Billy, I really appreciate how you take the time to explain your choice in methods and materials used in your renovation at the Convent! I see it being helpful in several ways. Cheers Billy 🤗
We sure appreciate your videos. Even the short ones with not much going on. We still feel connected that way and it's like visiting family.
I love the eerie noises, closing doors, etc. You all seem to handle it perfectly.
I can take the weird noises and such, old buildings do that. BUT, doors opening and closing when it's just me there...... I'm gone!😱😂😂😂
@aprilanywhere3879 I've grown up knowing to just live with what I see and hear on a regular basis, but I don't really talk about it much. Maybe Billy you need thr convent blessed like Sadie and Stan did. Nice work by you Billy and Yanis😘
Snap!!! Thought the same thing!
He needs to! We always bless a house when we move into it. Actually in our monastery we go around and bless the whole monastery every week!
many have suggested it
@@sr.marycatharineperry547 Yes! We walk the perimeter of the house too.
My home is only 20 years old and I hear thumps and creaks often. The library is taking shape nicely.
Renovations still going on, I love it, Yanis is still working, enjoy your day.
That building is happy with you being there and what you are doing. If it (they) weren't, it would have been very unpleasant for a long time ago.
Next steps underway and the library continues to take shape. Amazing what two people can accomplish.
You can really see the light at the end of the tunnel as each bit is completed, but the plasterboard really makes it happen...exciting...!
It looks like quite the mess right now, but I can DEFINITELY see the library shaping up! I can't get over how much you've done❤❤

Nice touch! Whistling the intro song when you started the work! Did anyone else notice? It was a great transition blend!
Lovely day today!! its seemed like the weekend drug on, Happy Monday all!!
Crack on Billy! You and Yanis are doing an awesome job. ❤️🇨🇦

Almost half a million!🎉 Congratulations! You all deserve it!❤
I love to cook so I eagerly watched the kitchen build (which came out beautiful) but I REALLY love to read. This library is so exciting to me!!
I agree, books are AWESOME. May you always have a new book when you finish the one you're reading.😊
@@catherinefromchristchurchn6508 Thank you!!

Another awesone milestone. I'll bet Yanis' trowel is getting itchey. You watching Simon?
Happy belated Birthday Yanis. So happy to hear you had a great one. 🎉
Happy belated Birthday Yanis.
If this channel is turning into renovation and ghost hunting show.... I'm here forever it!

Hi Billy, the library is coming along. Yanis and you work so well together along with your ghostly apprentices. ❤
Love the ghostly visits! Happy birthday, Yanis!! 🎉❤

I could hear footsteps and whistling x
That foil wrap is perfect to slip behind the bookcases. To stop any moisture getting to the wood and cold from the stone wall.
Billy... I hear a ghost...just keeps working 😂 I woulda been rushing toward it with a camera hopin to get it on film
Great headway, Billy and Yanis!

So... close... to 500k!
Yanis can do the ceiling with his eyes closed now. He’s had lots of experience with the other ceilings.
Really strange sounds!! Great work Billy and Yannis!
Billy and Yanis are the CREW!!
Okay. That’s it. You need a rock climbing harness when working on the library ceiling, in case one of those noise-making spirits is in a bad mood.
Go Billy and go Yanis. A new week.
So exciting to see the library coming together!
Maybe the ghost doesn't like shiny insulation. Narrow minded ghost.
😅😅😅 you have Billy scared he doesn't like being there by himself
