- In this Masterclass, Dr. Habiba Atta shared about her mentorship journey and how women in STEM can leverage mentors for greater impacts in their careers.
Dr. Habiba I. Atta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Her career as an academic span a period of eighteen years. She is currently holding a sabbatical appointment in Baze University, Abuja, Nigeria. She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the year 2021, at Rutgers University, USA. She was a beneficiary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund postgraduate scholarship, for her PhD research. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed to book publications, and is also an Associate Editor and Book reviewer for the Fulbright Chronicles.
At SWIS Africa, our goal is to:
- Train and mentor young women in STEM on important skills and resources they need to excel in their chosen career.
- Celebrate and promote women that are breaking barriers in STEM through our interviews, programs, and publications.
- Engage and shape young women with contents and resources that will educate, enlighten and empower them in STEM.
