It appears that they threw together a sixth season under demands from the network or the fans, after Cory Monteith passed away. Sadly, the last episode also had the lowest rating the show ever had. Roderick [Noah Guthrie] was called up by the production company, unexpectedly to him, I am guessing to bring in some excitement for what they knew and had announced ahead of time would be their last season. I wonder if they had had a full season would they not have had a better chance to be asked to continue. It looked like they had some good talent to continue on with.

A lot of record labels executives and artist allowed them to use their music. I can’t imagine how much of a pain those legal negotiations were. Unless someone as powerful as Disney does it, then I honestly doubt we’ll see something like Glee again.
Now that everyone is all grown up and everything, not all the actors from the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd cast would want to come back for a spin-off or revival of the show. But if they could get a could mix to revive their roles, I can see a Glee-type show set in maybe a Lima community choir or theater situation. Those actors that wouldn't want to commit to an ongoing role, could guest star from time to time. Mr. Schu could easily be the director.
