    very good example. Oil return line instead of to the filter, goes to the cooler. Exit from the cooler then goes back to the filter. Thanks!

    You have the cooler after the filter !! The filter does it job when the oil is still hot!!

    Not a bad job. However, I would not use worm clamps because they tend to back off. I would use crimp on clamps which is what Harley-Davidson used on the oil lines begin with. They are similar to the clamps used on PEX tubing. You can use a crimper designed for them, but I use end Nippers. More reliable and clean looking.

    I always wanted to get oil cooler for my 67FLH, but I'm not sure the oil return pressure is high enough to pump around those hoses

    is the same for a FXR 89 .. or is diferent oil pump .... cheers ..

    Good day Human.on this older oil cooler,which port on the cooler is the oil suppose to come in through?

      I'm not sure about it, it shouldn't rely matter, the oil should flow from one side to the other
