- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 BMW 535i M-Sport. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Thanks again to Hendrick BMW for allowing me to film this vehicle! for more information on this one as well as others visit www.hendrickbmw.com
Crazy to think that this video is 10 years old man... I remember watching it in 2011... loved that old style review
this dude gives the best in depth walk around of the car, inside and out. i feel like i just drove it lol. the car has sooo many features.not to mention the inside color combination!! nice m package also. only thing i wish it was the 550i. but overall great 18 mins on youtube. definitely 2 thumbs up !!! sheedlouch out
This is the best review of a car Ive ever seen on RUclips. Loved it!
Yeah, he's good at this...
Straight up
This car has just incredible attention to detail. Down to the little ambient lights and everything. It has heated rear seats which was quite a luxury for the time. It also had a gear shifter that is in my opinion better than the current gear shifter btw has on this car now. It has comfortable seats and quite a beauty engine too. Everything about this car is why I love BMW so much because it was just about perfect.
This car is one of the most beautiful cars all around, even besting many exotics in my mind.
This car looks so nice even in 2022!
These look way better than the big grilled, Honda accord looking taillights! Love this car.
That was the best 535 walkthrough I’ve seen. 7 years later so you’ve done well.
*9 years
This is the perfect BMW. M5 looks without the M5 price and MPG.
I just bought one with 19k miles for 43k at the United bmw of Roswell. I would recommend it to anyone, the sport option is fun as hell to drive. Get the 550i if you can afford it, 400hp v8!
sheeesh 43k????!!
@@NoName-yh7ii ye he got robbed😭😭
This was 6 years ago guys.
@@NoName-yh7ii 43k is way too much but is
Nice ride tho
DUDE I LUV WATCHING UR VIDS...I DO THAT EVERYDAY....BEST CAR REVIEWER ON RUclips....NO DOUBT...
This is my dream sedan!! Nice review bro.
@TheRockisSmokin 300 hp is more than enough, believe me. Ive been in a 530d (240hp) doing 130 mph. It had a lot more to give and the ride comfort was still incredible, and very quiet. These are expensive for a reason: They are incredible cars.
The most beautiful 5-series, which has ever created by the BMW.
I want it!
13 years later and it still looks so good!
Thanks man...best review of this car on youtube....
@auaq I have a 2011 X5 with the same engine, and a week after we bought it, we drove over 800 Miles to go to a wedding. We averaged right at about 30 MPG with a highway speed of 75-80 MPH. I think the X5 is a little heavier than the 5 Series and isn't as low to the ground 'sleek' as the 535i is, thus the difference in mileage.
The X5 with the same 300HP in-line 6 returns a consistent 23/24 MPG at each fill up. Once this engine is broken in, it really wakes up and you can feel the difference.
This really is the best and most detailed video I've seen for the 535.... very good job
I remember watching this so many times before we bought our 12 Carbon black... Love it!!!
rajg7 how's reliability been?
it's been great! there's just an annoying clicking noise from the front right axle when you turn at a low speed at certain angle. I've tried to get it fixed, but it always comes back... if you can live with that its a-ok!
rajg7 how many mikes do u have on it? I'm looking to get a used one. Also looking at this vs the e class and a few others.
im at almost 70,000
rajg7 thanks! Good to know. Thanks for the info I've decided I like the BMW the best out of the group
sorry saabkyle for tossing insults at commenters on your page sir.IM A HUGE fan and i used a format like yours in my video to sell my pontiac gto.SOLD IT! also when ever i buy a car or do some research i do a search on your channel 1st.
Amazing car! nothing like a good old BMW.
Tested this particular model in my country. Absolute beast!
F10s 535i comes with the N55 engine which is twin scroll single turbo, not twin turbo
You're absolutely correct. 2011 was the year BMW switched to the twin scroll turbo in the 335i as well. I believe the 2011 335is still uses the twin turbo though.
IrishChris1979 The 550i has the twin turbo's
Chestplate Ok.
TiddlyOrange Gaming
Yup, that's right. I think the 550i was rated at 400 HP & 450 TQ for 2011 if I'm not mistaken? I wouldn't mind owning that car.
IrishChris1979
My dads thinking about getting the 535d wagon or the 550i GT
ohh the 5-series is my most favorite car in the world! Thanks Kyle!!!
This 4 wheeled beauty is drop dead gorgeous.
Bmw is the best 👍👍😎
I like it
Hell fricken yeah
If Mercedes didn’t exist then yes
@@boxingsquare5998 bmw is still better
@@carguyns4348 any year , any model . Let’s compare. Benz is king of the road. I still love my bmw but Mercedes is a notch above
Great car that has aged incredibly well, I didn’t like it when it was released, I thought it was too bland, possibly because it was a non sport model.
My favorite of this era was the Jaguar XF, which I still think is beautiful, but the BMW, especially the interior, kept up with the time really really well.
your 100% right, i just ordered mine...not an m5 but the above car will do me....better than spending £80,000 on an m5 which i cant relly afford..... i will leave that to the people who can truly and i mean truly can afford that m5 machine...........am happy with what i,ve ordered
I'm saving up for my first car, my dad had always loved bmw, and I really like this model
How is maintenance asks many of you ... well, as an expert I can tell you it is less than a Ferrari and more then Hyundai.
NOT IF YOU GET A WARRANTY COVERAGED
Mark Joseph exactly. you have to get one under 50k miles & buy the BMW extended warranty for stress-free driving
Mark Joseph btw the warranty doesn't cover maintainence. so you still have to get it serviced for brakes, rotors, oil, filters, etc. The maintainence plan is completely not connected to the warranty. I wouldn't buy the maintainence plan anyway because you're not even getting that much of a discount by paying all at once for maintainence vs over time. I Would say maintence is fine because it's mistly covered under warranty for faulty parts but regular maintence would be less than 1k a year if even that.
Clorox Bleach ok thanks. Looks like I'll be buying a 2013 5 series soon
Krasnaludek it comes to about $1000/yr for maintenance from my experience
how come someone dislike a car like this? The 5 series BMW is the boss of all sport sedans cars.
@Vonnx3 For your information, BMW has never made a v6 configuration engine but only inline-6 or straight-6 engines and always at a slant angle. Every time the bonnet is up you would notice the engine is inclined at a certain angle and this is true for inline-4 and inline-6 engines. They have made plentiful v8 engines, one v10 engine, and v12 engines. They have once made a v16 engine for the rolls-royce but never put it into production although they still have it.
chromium exhaust pipe finishers, modified suspension settings,M light-alloy wheels.Front & rear bumpers, sill covers in body color & a striking diffusor insert in Dark Shadow Metallic on the tail underline the sporting character of the M pkg.M leather steering wheel,short-shifter gear lever(manual trans)in soft leather nappa.M emblems, sports seats. The seat covers are in a characteristic fabric-Alcantara design with contrasting stitching in Royal Blue. Also, there are three further leather finishes
IDK WHY BUT I LOVE THIS CAR SO MUCH
One of the best looking cars around
Thanks for reviewing in depth tour of the 2011 BMW 535i, I like it. That's all
don't be sorry I am planning on getting it brand new to 2012 unless they have a 2011 I want but one I saw this video I fell in love with the m sport. I thought the regular one was ok but this one looks great. I will be geting this car without a dought.
Great video as always Kyle!
Just wanted to say I'm a huge Audi fan my whole life I have been driving only Audi never did I drove or seat in any BMW but have to admit I love this new ones and I'm seriously considering one in the future hopefully new M5....
@ramale97 It is M sport package, for those people that order new BMW's they have the option of getting this package, Basically you get the same car with BMW M// trim kit, steering wheel of an M// car, the exterior of an M car and other a few touches of M// cars. Horsepower and engine is the same. Kinda like getting F sport package for Lexus. This car only has 300hp and 300lb torque.
@Jesse22H im positive. the E60 535i was twin turbo charged but all F10 models use a single turbo for better fuel efficiency...
If u live in Manhattan or LA, I would advise the luxury package, because the traffic won't really let u use sport mode
chump squad not if you go to the canyons in Malibu
My dads friend currently owns a 523i. I think he has owned almost all generations of the 5-series.
I love BMW'S new car lineup there so nice
Nice work man, keep it up.
my mom has this car.....The 535xi with the M Package. It's awesome! I love it :)
thanks for the feedback just hearing you speak about the car I now its good. I will probably get the white. thanks for the help. I cant wait to get in my new car thanks
your correct 100% dealer called yesterday and said i can pick up next tuesday but i,ll wait till friday as that is my favorite day of the week lol
bought a 550i because of this video!
You have no idea how excited I became when I saw this video in my sub box...haha keep up the good work Kyle...
To answer your question to the full, True "M" cars are much more powerful and aggressive looking than a BMW with just an M sport package treatment. Take the M6 has over 500lb torque and 560Hp but a regular 6 series has just 445hp and a little over 400lb torque. With an M pkg treatment, it looks a little clean and special in a way compared to a regular 6 series. same to 3 series with the M3 and 5 series with the M5 or the X5M with a regular X5. Hope this helps, thx
Ridiculously good looking car
i love true authentic BMW halos. ive seen some brand new 2011 BMWs driving around town and in BROAD DAYLIGHT the halos are super crisp and bright and can be seen from great distances away. simply awesome looking. i have some aftermarket halo lights on my GTI but they dont even compare.
God those headlamps are like pieces of art!
a masterpiece, it is definetely a cool car!
This car lacks the best option - no adaptive cruise control :(
Also weird that it has rear heated seats but no 4-zone climate control (two extra zones for rear passengers).
Other than that pretty loaded (not fully loaded, some stuff still missing).
5 years later and it is still one of the best vehicles on the market.
9 years it’s still
@@LosCrozo just bought a 2016 535i a few days ago and loving it
@@jaxfan good for you and i'm interested in the same car too but tell me on what mileage did you buy it and how is goin on with this engine in terms of reliability ?
@@angelnikolov7479 it had 35 thousand miles when I got. It's a m sport. Everything has been good so far
Shape aged super well. 👌
AMG makes the most badass sounding engines ever!
Actually, have you heard the M5 without the system on, sounds exactly the same, it's more for inside entertainment due to the isolation of the cabin for road noise. Also, these straight six engines have a very pure exhaust note, and BMW does a lot to reduce noise from exhaust notes. I think it shows some kind of sublety. Anyway you can always ask your dealer to remove some of the resonators and give it a more direct sound if that's what you're looking for.
2 and a half weeks to go and she will be all mine.........i dont think i,ll ever order a brand new car again because the waiting period is a nightmare....for those who want to know i ordered mine july 27th 2012 and the dealer said it will arrive 3rd week in september so exactly a 2 month nightmare, oh delivery is to london uk.........for those who are from america the european delivery at welt munich seems the way to go looks like a wonderful experience
The Antrhracite wood is available on all 5 Series' What comes standard with the M-Sport pack is the Hexagonal Aluminum trim although it is rarely ordered
I do love the comfort of these BMW seats. Like a ‘15 740Li. Comparable to a ‘94 Mercedes C280 I had or a 2000 Acura TL. Any luxury car! Love it. ❤️👌
My very first car was an 1987 E28 535i. Man, how far we have come...
BMW only amplifies the sound, it does not change it. It is just that the cabin is very well sound insulated, so not enough engine sound come in. The sound itself is not as good as the V8 on the M3, but keep in mind, it is all about fuel economy these days and sound has to be sacrificed to some extent.
In regards to the 535i engine, the in-line Turbo 6 with 300HP is all you need. You can drop some additional cash on the V8 with 400HP, but for the money, the 300HP in-line 6 is the ultimate way to go. No power lagging issues with this car at all. In addition to that, I average about 33+ on the highway with the cruise set at 80! Normal day to day driving (real world) is going to return more around 28-30 depending on how you drive.
BMW V8 engines are pretty unreliable and this is coming from someone with a 1995 740i also had a 2005 V8 6 series. I’d say anything above 2015 for the V8’s. My buddy’s 2016 V8 Beamer has lasted him awhile and good on gas.
I LOVE this car!!!!!! I want one!
This is the car I hope to own as an adult...
The car is not twin turbo charged. BMW switched to single turbo for 2011 model year with most cars across their lineup. Even though it says "TwinPower Turbo," its refering to the twin scroll design on the turbo charger.
And a test has shown that only the engine noise is amplified and pumped through the speakers. The exhaust and suction noise is from the car itself.
What a beautiful car!
@LordKevin92 Not really. When the vehicle is locked so does the fuel door. So you do not have to worry about someone stealing the precious gatorade from the tank!
"Pour some sugar on me" Hell yeah that song is beast.
saving up hardcore for this one right now just 6 more months !
my landcruiser has the same unlock system, when you put hand inside it unlocks and to lock you need to push black button
M-sport is just a trim selection. Its still a regular 5 series with some M-CAR hints and accents. An M3 or an M6 are full-fledged M cars so they'll always be more powerful.
Depends.
If you want a sporty car for - well - having fun ->M3
If you're looking for a fast everyday car e.g. for travelling with family ->535i
my grandpa has this type of car, only his is green. very nice car, I want one
Greetz from Germany München! the city of BMW!
thanks dude, helps a lot to understand my new 2012...
guys you cant talk about the price, the MSRP is not the actual price. you can always drive around your local BMW dealers and negotiate your price. cuz if the MSRP is like 60,000 they get the car from the company for like 50,000 or 52,000
It has an other engine , the 535i is a 3 liter 6 inline with turbo (300HP and 400nm) while the 528i has a 4 cylinder turbo with 240 hp and 350 nm.
@iceonthemoon 535i is better of course. You get more features and a better engine, you may not feel it or notice it but it makes a difference. I would pick the 535i
@trencher7 Lexus LS, MB S Class and Jag XJ have that sort of feature except the entire bottom cushion slides out rather than just the front portion you see on the BMW. I love those features.
There is also an M3 sedan though. But the new M5 isn't even out yet and it costs anywhere between 90,000-120,000 USD.
Can you imagine how great a fully loaded M5 is ?
Def. a quiet start up both times I couldnt hear a thing till he revved
dude 2 months isn't that bad. I remember when the 5 series was released here in Sweden, the waitinglist immidietly went up to 6 months due to extreme demand.
Twin scroll not twin turbo. It's one turbo with two scrolls one larger than the other bro. Also the turbs doesn't kick in until later rpms. It saves gas in that you don't start moving until the turbo spools around 3500 rpm
@MegaRami92 It's limited to 250 kp/h, most German manufacturers do that. You can have it delimited (not from BMW).
hi. well to find the relative power of the BMW engine check the numbers that come after the first one for eXemple 525 is a 5 series BMW with a 2.5 liter engine . have a nice day
That car looks delicious.
BMW is the BEST car !!!
@SilentServiceCode that's a 12V power outlet.
I just bought one! It's beautiful. Mine is not an M sport but I have more options.
How is it with the maintenance
Never had a thing for the 5 series. Until now!
Great video Kyle
@sbrennan007 Right! This is what I am talking about the weight of this new F10 5 series. We all know that this car is heavier than the E60 and definitely heavier than the E39 series. Despite the detrimental it still amazes me to see 30+ mpg's on highways. It's like this is the zone for the 4-cylinder engines and not for 6-cylinder ones.
Nobody said that there skippy. BMW has the M Sport option for all of their non M cars the same way Audi has the S Line option for their non S and RS models and Mercedes Benz has an AMG package for their non AMG models. It's for appearance and gives a tauter suspension.
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!
4:25 Random guy: Hey, what's going on here?
Lol
