      @DJ NL3 first of all, just wanna note that your comment seems pretty irrelevant to any topic here, but im sure youre already aware of that.
      Then i want to say, how can you actually say that this wasn't Native American land?
      14000 or so years, before the beginning of culture really, isnt enough for you? Being the first people to inhabit it, isnt enough for you? Idk what is then.
      Going by your thinking, the "land land" of any of us is actually Africa and we cant say any other place is our place. Come on man, people have to stop trying to manipulate information for their own agendas

      also want to say this video is just as biased as anyone who wants to say mexico is bad.
      are we really so freaking dumb?
      cant figure out there are peaceloving people and shitty ass people on every place on earth?
      truth be told, im scared of the situation in mexico because people cant even trust their own police. scary.

I have found Mexico to be filled with very welcoming , warm , accepting and genuinely gentle loving people. You run the risks of getting robbed or worse in Detroit, Michigan USA as well as in Mexico City. Stay in the safe areas and you'll be safe in any part of the world. If you want to sing 'kumba ya' that's your problem. There are bad people everywhere hence prisons in every country. Mexico is full of culture explore it and add to it...

      I would like to say that the drug problem is not Mexico's blame, the main reason is the drug consumption that exists in US, if the US people (gringos) wouldn't consum drugs the narco violence problem wouldn't exist in Mexico and Latin America. So bloody Trump don't blame Mexico about drugs!! Your wall issue has no reason! Moreover the Mexicans are only reconquering the lands that were stolen by the US!! I used to be a tourist guide in Mexico City and Morelia, the Europeans were always enjoying my country, the history, precolombian, colonial and modern, they enjoyed the food, and like to be friends with the people, but it was the Americans (though we are américans too), that would show fear of . nothing, but fear... I asked a couple from Oregon, why were they like that,. They said, 'because of what we've heard in the news"... There's something about americans that leads them to exaggerate the negative about Mexico, when the Truth is, their country is way more violent and racist than us.. perhaps we should start talking negative about them, and create a super negative image of them.. BUT,.. thank God we are NOT like some of them!!!

    I felt in love with your channel and the way you see my country... Thank you for representing with your own perspective how Mexico is... We are not like the number one country in the world without crimes or bad stuff, but, like in every other country there's a bad side. I'm pretty confident that you found out how Mexicans are.
    Whenever you want to visit another city here in Mexico you'll be always welcomed to Ciudad Juárez Chihuahua... Here is another damaged city due the insecurity... But as soon as it stops ( the insecurity) it came up from the ashes. So you could do more videos about the "mexican" perspective. I'll be glad to help you out with that. Cheers bud

      Avoid the metro unless you absolutely have to. I made a video about the mexico city metro you could watch for some tips. But basically, there are a lot of pickpockets there. Also I recommend Uber over taxis if you can use your phone down here, as some bad taxis might try to overcharge. If you take a taxi, make sure the meter is running so they don't name an unfair price at the end. Enjoy your trip, it's a great city!

Mexico City is definitely a First World city to live both economically and culturally. I felt very proud to have been connected to my Mexican family. I am thoroughly enjoying your many videos of Mexico City. I travelled the FULL length of the Americas from the top of Alaska and Yukon, Inuvik to be precise all the way through the Americas to the bottom of South America in Tierra del Fuego for three years. I learnt the language and the history and the cultures, especially the Spanish influence. It was a spectacular experience and one of the best of my life.

    This year 800,000 people are expected to travel to Mexico, from Toronto alone. People from Canada and US are moving to Mexico by the thousands. So, it`s getting harder to deceive outsiders into believing that all of Mexico is dangerous. Mexico City is like a large US city, where a person is OK as long as they don`t go into dangerous districts. I am in Merida, Yucatan which is a large city but is safer than any large US city.

    • @PaulBeet
      @PaulBeet 6 лет назад

      Nick, there are many safe, beautiful areas of Mexico that aren`t tourist areas. Of course, while "the War on Drugs" is going on, you need to check which areas are safe before you travel. For Merida, tourism is not the
      largest part of the economy. It is a major city with some tourism. It also is the safest area of Mexico, in the safest state in Mexico (Yucatan). It seems some US interests want to frighten tourists from coming to Mexico, but there are many beautiful colonial cities that are safe even though they`re not big tourist draws.

    It's not really only about what to FOCUS on. It's not one or the other. It's about maturity, knowing both and knowing how to avoid and protect oneself, whilst not over worrying. Not just choosing what to focus on or not. For example, which areas are these kidnappings happening, only at night or even in the day? Near tourist areas, or bars, or what. How to identify these people, what do locals do to stay aware and safe. Etc. It's about having awareness, knowledge and skills. Not just stopping at seeking to vindicate a countries perceived image of light or dark.
