11:04 I feel so bad for the parents loosing there child at only a year old :(
Several children are buried at this cemetery really sad.
@@oniiscoo325 ikr
I feel sad for those poor kids...
It’s sad but very very common for that time. All I had to do was look at my great great grandmother and see one of her sisters died at 2 (1916 - 1919).
I know its so sad. And the poor baby passed away the day after her first birthday 😢
This video is so sad at the same time it warms my heart - a woman, probably volunteer, cleaning gravestones of people she probably doesn't know any relatives alive. She is so humble and respectful. I'm especially sad for the 13:52 grave, born and died same day.
My respects from Brazil, I admit I probably never do it on the nearest cemetery.
Hey, I’m Brazilian
It’s incredible to think how many of these graves have gone unvisited and likely forgotten for decades and in some cases over a century. What you’re doing may go unnoticed, but it will never go unappreciated. You’re an amazing human being.
This isn’t just satisfying it’s very respectful and I’m sure the grave keepers and the families of the people who’s graves they’re restoring will be very happy to see that someone is going around cleaning people’s graves out of kindness I respect them for that
Edit: I forgot to mention she tells their stories
Part of Graveyard etiquette is, infact, to clean up headstones.
Yep! It would also be best to not record unless you have been granted permission by the spirit to do so. I liked the person who was sharing the person’s life story, seems like a nice trade off!
@@artsypupyoungcreativity162 the person telling the story is the person making all the videos

Something I noticed looking at this and going to cemeteries, you see a lot more female graves than male. There are male tombstones but in my hometown you’ll find a lot more female than male ones. Its just a random quirk
Maybe because of 2 world war?
Women have been oppressed so there are more graves of women then men that's all
@@kenadielise7780 ....huh? How does women oppression, something that has occurred for many years but is coming to an end, contribute to the death of women? Being oppressed and treated as less of someone else doesn’t account for death tolls.
It could be because of deaths in childbirth
@@kawaiidemon1748 wow- I was not thinking that..kinda deep bro but i mean it was a question that was kinda deep to tho

My great grandfather was a cemetery caretaker and I would help him do this when I would visit. 👍
Your great grandpa was an amazing person, mad respect 👍
I used D/2 cleaner on my great-grandfather's gravestone. It was so dirty that I did not know it had white marble (with grey veining) underneath the moss and dirt. Quite a pleasant surprise!
Second stone says she was 89... but the years only add to 79... and that bugs me more than it should
You are right bro
Shes a time traveler lol
Wouldn't she have actually been 78 because her birthday was in december and she passed in November
Same bro thought I was the only one who noticed
people born in 1800-1900s were usually registered years after they were born. i had a neighbor (may she rest in peace) who died at "94" years old when she actually was 105

It’s an unseen thing. People who do this don’t do it for the praise.
damm that glow up doe :))))))
I want a glowup like those tombstones
Hey! Idk if anyone here knows but I’m thinking about doing this for my whole church’s graveyard! It’s a small parish and practically half the people there are relatives. Which means the people in the very back of the graveyard with tombstones that look like this are my ancestors. I’d like to show my respects to them by doing this but I don’t have the tools and don’t know where to find them. Any help would be appreciated!
Lol The dollar tree probably!
I would look on Amazon also
Home Depot and Lowe's would have everything.
The person in these videos are using d2 it is a biological solution used to remove stains from mold, moss, lichen, etc
You can get a jug of it for under $10 (USD) you must use the softest bristle brush you can find because hard bristles can damage the stone, I suggest you use a flexible soft plastic scraper (like the one in this video oh and when you spray it with water to wash it off use very low water pressure.
@@Musicalmane You're a saint for typing this all out lol, also do you happen to know what tool she's using to scrape off the mold?

I love this for so many reasons. She researches a lot of the peoples who’s graves she cleans and reminds us of our history. No one is going to thank her. The reality is, there may be no after life or spirits, so even the people buried there may never know. She does it because she has a passion for it and finds peace within it. There are just some people that are too good for this world.
I bet these people’s families were so thankful! God bless you! This is one in the best things anyone can do in their free time!
I bet the people who died in those graves look at the teens (or adults) “What Good children.”

A pressure washer would be so much easier, but there's no power source. Girl is a legend for not giving up and still cleans
I've watched several gravestone cleaning videos today after stumbling upon this woman's doing this, and from another cleaner's video he said something that makes a lot of sense: using a pressure washer could actually damage the stones. When scrubbing the stones, they are doing it very gently to prevent damage. If you look on RUclips, amazingly there are quite a few people who've undertaken this endeavor! So inspirational the work these people do!
@@heatherbonin2477 😲 that makes sense especially the stones with figures on them, the power wash could break those easily

She has inspired me to do this in my local cemetery that isn’t used anymore but only has 50 gravestones (probs less)
The gravestones are from the 1890’s (my town is super old) and everyone forgot about the people. So I go there every month to clean them and give them a wild flower, I’m just surprised no one has dug up the grave or something stupid like that.
Who ever is cleaning these, thank you so much, your an amazing person and god bless you all
I really need to learn how to do this properly! I would do this on weekends for free. I’ve always had an oddly prominent respect for the dead ever since I was little & cleaning has always been satisfying to me.

Precious friend, who can you share God’s love (through Jesus Christ) with today? Psalm 100 demonstrates an appreciation of God for who He is, not simply for all He does. The psalmist invites “all the earth” (v. 1) to “worship the Lord with gladness” (v. 2), being confident in knowing “the Lord is God” (v. 3). Our Maker invites us into His presence to “give thanks to him and praise his name” (v. 4). Yes, the Lord remains worthy of our ongoing thankfulness because He “is good,” His “love endures forever,” and His “faithfulness continues through all generations” (v. 5).
God will ALWAYS be the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and our intimately loving Father. He deserves our genuine joy-filled gratitude. Thank You so much Lord, thank You for being You! Begin your personal, loving, and gratitude filled relationship with the very ONE whom created you by first acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of our Savior.
Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord of your life. Welcome Abba Yahweh (Father God) through Yeshua (Jesus the Christ) into your life. Receive grace by believing in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, His death, burial and resurrection for the sins of all human-kind. You will then be justified in salvation and forever blessed with His abundant love by the Holy Spirit!
May God bless you in the Glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior.❤️❤️❤️
Very kind of you to clean people's headstones. I'm sure their families appreciate it as well. God Bless you!! 🙏🇺🇸
