Upstairs needs at least one bathroom. So you don't have to come down stairs to use the bathroom... Think long term when you are older. You don't want to come down stairs touse the bathroom. Or Resale value bathroom Upstairs is a must in my mind😊 thanks for. Showing floor plans. It so big. I just love it... love your home. A big balcony upstairs tooo. I always enjoy your videos here in a Johannesburg, South Africa. Yours are always to the point & great to watch also because they’re not so terribly long like some. Golly that wood wall is amazing, almost a work of art. You two work so hard, it’s great. If you plant your own seedlings, half an eggshell is great as you can then just plant the whole thing when the plant is big enough & the shell puts nutrients into the ground. Two questions I’ve had since the beginning of your restoration is, What is the nearest larger city or town and how far do you have to travel to get most of your supplies and materials? Here in the US (Atlanta, Georgia area) we have big stores in nearly every town. Just wondering about the convenience you have for such things. Love watching you folks make your dreams into reality.
Short or long, I always enjoy your videos. Especially if I get to see the kitty, your chickens and your cooking. Thank you for putting what you were cooking in the description. It looked delicious as always.
Have you considered changing the use of this room? It would make a great bathroom/laundry. You could put the laundry in the back and the bathroom in the front part. That would free up one extra room for maybe an office or an additional bedroom. Just an idea from one of your fans.
I really like the way you and your wife, are so self-reliant . the fact that you reuse things that have already been used before and you don’t just throw things in the garbage or in the landfills. that is one thing that really aggravates me about our society here in the USA we’re such a throwaway society. Instead of remodeling something and keeping the structure, no matter how sound it is they’d rather tear it down and bulldoze it over and build with brand new. Love your videos keep making them really enjoyed watching you guys redo this house. You take something that was almost nothing and have turned it into such a nice place and your garden in the back. You don’t have to have a bunch of special beds to put things in you just go around it with rocks and stuff. It is so much better to do it that way, thanks for your content, Suzanne Perkins😊🌟🌟🌟

Hello Diego, Bravo for the house plan. There is no wasted space, no corridor. I can still make a suggestion, in summer in this region, people are used to eating outside and to be cool, they move to the North. In the room with the bay window you could make a small summer kitchen with plancha and create a veranda outside. 😊

I envision a little greenhouse in the garden someday. I know you save materials that are still usable. A simple frame out of some reclaimed wood, some work benches & greenhouse plastic sheeting would do. You’d definitely put a greenhouse to good use.

Hard woodwork. The outside wall of the room you just renovated is the same where you cutted the wood? You should open this from the outside and put a drainage system in. It is wet from both sides. Seems to be....for me.

I would put sun tunnels into the room you are now painting and they will brighten up that room, even on a cloudy day. I did this in two dark rooms in my house. Goodbye darkness!

You can insert a diffuser made of plastic or insert a clear plastic circle for full sun power. I had 3 of them. We used diffusers to scatter the light so that the rooms would not be too hot in summer.
Is cleaned really nice after the wood was chopped. The next two years you don't have to buy any wood. The bedroom turned out nice( but I am used to it because every room you plasterd and painted was so nice).

When you put the concrete terrace on the back of house, put a pergola over it and grow grape vines on top of it. Also, once the entry hall is finished, I would put a desk for each of you in there and cover the walls with black and white photos of your adventures, your tiny house in the woods and your current project. So glad you have a boss phone. Unfortunately here in the states some providers will only allow you to use Samsung or iPhone. I’m looking at you AT&T.
