I've had the 633 for a year now, it has been used a lot and after a good clean looks new and works great. I recently gave it to my mother because she complained about how hot she gets in here kitchen during summer whilst cooking. She tried it once and could not believe the difference it made. The air circulation is really the most notable quality as well as how it can cool a room down. I will never buy another brand of fan after owning this fan. I've just upgraded to the 660.
I bought the 633 about the same time and cost as you and now the bearings are dry so I will service that with cleaning and some oil on those motor bearings. Daughter just bought the Alexa 660 and it has a 4th speed of super low and quiet so the 660 is slightly larger. A fan size is like a car motor size varying with different models. The larger the motor and size the more relaxed the fan is when operating at the low speeds so you get more air moved and with quieter operation.
I can't decide between the 533 and the 633 models. Is the difference only in size and weight or does the bigger one have any other advantages besides more power?
It's difficult to get these in the UK, best 533 I can find is £70 ( about $90 dollars); best 633 I can find is £100 (about $130 dollars). Would you say the 633 is significantly better than the 533, or is there only a slight difference? (Particularly when they're on the quietest setting which is what I'd use most of the time.)
I can attest that the 633 is quiet and moves a LOT of air. It improves the effectiveness of my room AC and often keeps things cool enough to not use the AC
But does it compete with the Walmart special fan from the late 90's that has never been cleaned ever and had been used pretty much every day since new still runs great (BTW hasn't been cleaned because they had to put one torx screw for the front grill) and they recently started selling them again although probably much worse quality
question. .I had a basic moving fan blowing towards the door of a warm room. .seemed to help alot..though this Vornado would be great. .but now feels as hotter than ever..any suggestions? .it was 60 bucks..

If you ever clean your fan again, definitely make a video on how to clean a vornado. I have a vornado and the same thing you described in the beginning of your video is happening with my fan (it is slowing down and I think it needs a clean).
I called Vornado about it and they sent me a brand new replacement fan. Cleaning it is pretty easy, there are three screws on the back holding the front grill on. Then just unclip the front grill and clean it out.
1:33 I had that too with my old bed fan because it keep falling off. I'm now using a Holmes fan. (Note: it dose it slow when its facing in the middle but in a few seconds, It will work.)
Update: when its upside down. it fully works but not upside down. As always, Its slow. So I ditch it for a Holmes Tower fan that I am using for my bed. My old fan is going to my brother.
Someone recently threw out two vornado fans full of cat hair. I cleaned them and just got 160$ worth of fans. I have this model, but the knob is broken off.
I wish the model was 636 :(. I have a giant lasko max performance thingy and it blows air on my feet becasue in Georgia we get the heat and humidity and my ac doesnt work well. lol we should have a fan showcase on the fb group
another " review" for an air circulator that doesn't show really that the air circulates the whole room. A used news paper, a shoe string or g string can do.
I remember going to bestbuy buyng a 200 dollar one and it was the most awful "air circulator" I have ever used awful noise and horrible unit I gave it to my parents.
hey ryan you should really get samsung galaxy s6 active i watched a vid on unbox theraphy and its awesome the only thing i dont like about it is the speakers but the battery is awesome and same specs as s6... its built like a beast

I can't get it to come over the other side I pointed it to the other corner and I stood on bed and I only felt it on top ceiling nowhere else

There is no need to place vornados higher off the ground. Keep the, on the floor pointed upward.

It will mix the cold and hot air to create a cool air so yes, it will work with warm rooms. It just won’t be “cold” if the temperature is hot.
