- In this episode, it's our very last full day of the cruise... and we're packing in as much excitement as we can, including exploring the mini-golf and sports square area, taking a trip down the waterslide, chilling in the serenity area, watching the ship building and egg drop contests, attending a cocktail party, dropping some balloons, and more!! :D
We're off on our first one-way cruise adventure aboard the Carnival Breeze for its repositioning from Galveston, Texas to Port Canaveral, Florida! We sailed from September 16-30, 2018 on a 14-Day Southern Caribbean itinerary with stops in Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica, and Sint Maarten. This was a Carnival Journeys cruise, with all sorts of extra throwback fun to be had...

I know, right? Finally, her first waterslide ever, ha ha... we've wanted to tackle one for a while, but we usually just leave it until the last minute, then run out of time. Woohoo!! :D

Thankee! I always like to catch the balloon drops, and I think they have them on regular cruises a lot of times too. I know when we were on the Magic, they had a Mardi Gras party with a balloon drop.
What a great cruise for you two. So cool that you share with us. The last night and packing is always so sad. I think maybe not so bad on a 14-day. You had lots of beach and snorkeling time. I have never seen a balloon drop on any cruise. I enjoyed it all.
We really did have a nice, long adventure! I've seen the balloon drop once before on the Magic, which they made part of their Mardi Gras party, but maybe it's not as common as I thought. Very cool! :D

I enjoyed this so much. You both are Hilarious, I couldn’t stop watching and then I remembered I forgot to thumbs up 👍🏾 so I watched a few again to be sure. I like that I can go on your adventure and live through you vicariously. Without you guys I might have never seen / (been to) any of these places. I’m all packed (in my mind) and waiting for our next adventure. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thankee!! We do... our first two cruises, we did the leave-your-luggage-outside method, but we found that we prefer to just carry everything and roll out of there early these days. Plus, the porters in Norfolk put my bag in completely the wrong zone on our second cruise, and I thought it was lost forever, hah... eventually found it though.

Dee, I was hoping you can tell me a little information about your snorkel mask and if you liked it? Thank you for the great videos 😊
Yes indeed! The mask was a brand we'd never heard of called Vangogo, which we only bought because a friend sent us a promo code for it, ha ha... They've got them around Amazon and eBay and places if you search "vangogo full face". It did surprisingly well once we got the straps tightened up properly, no leakage, a little floaty valve for protection if you dive down and all. For a seemingly generic brand, we were surprised! :D

Dee...what was the outcome of the bracelet that you bought while on this cruise? Did you notice any positive health benefits?
She's worn it almost every day since buying it, and she does notice that if she goes a day without it, she seems to feel more tired and "out of it" than normal. So she's planning to continue wearing it, hah... no other major noticeable benefits, I guess. :D
Sorry if this has been answered already... I believe I will earn a free drink on our next cruise... I don't drink alcohol, or coffee drinks...will they give you a milkshake as a free drink? Soda just doesn't seem special enough to use it on. 😁 BTW our next cruise is on the Pride!
Gotcha! Yes, on Carnival, the gold level gets a coupon valid for your last night of sailing, and the platinum level gets a coupon valid for breakfast or brunch. I don’t believe you can get a milkshake, but you can order a non-alcoholic daiquiri, like strawberry, piña colada, mango, banana, or the ever-popular Miami Vice which is half strawberry and half piña colada. Or one of their other drinks, and just ask them to hold the alcohol.

We thought we did too, but something about it tasted chalky or something... it was good, but not my favorite. I think my brain was expecting it to taste like their Mocha Chocolate Getaway, ha ha...
Do they show a movie every night on the outdoor screen?
Not every night, but I think they had them about half the evenings on our sailing, and a few scattered daytime movies as well. We saw people out there in the sun, squinting and shading their eyes, trying to see the screen, hah. It seems more of an evening activity to me. :D
Jay.. have you ever counted your sea days total?
I believe we're each at 253 total days as of the end of the Crown Princess sailing. Whoop!!

So.........................what did the persons prize in the balloon drop? Do you know? This was fun with just the two of you. The last one with your friends was a little less fun to watch because I do not feel I know them but I do feel I know you two. I am not on pintrest, instagram, facebook or any of those things, just email and watching you guys, but I wish I were able to meet up with you on a cruise sometime.
We never did fine out what the prize was! After most of the balloons were down, Schwartz grabbed one and called out a lady's name, and just said for her to meet him down in the lobby. That was the end of that, ha ha... oh well!! :D

Dee how did the coupon book work out.
We didn't use as many of the coupons as we would have liked, but it's good pretty much forever, so we'll be hauling it around at least on our next couple of sailings. So far, we got the free DI necklace, the free selfie stick, the free Del Sol tote bag, four free charms, and it got us a discount on entry to the Star Wars museum. So not too bad of a start!
What’s the difference between a journey’s cruise and a b2b?
Journeys is what Carnival calls their longer cruises, usually 9+ days, where they have the special guest speakers, dance teachers, extra shows, throwback sea day, and all sorts of things that you normally don't see on regular cruises. B2B (back to back) just means two cruises in a row, like we're doing the Horizon for an 8 day sailing, then staying on for the following 6 day sailing. Both regular cruises, no "Journeys" involved, but just hooking two regular cruises together. Woohoo!! :D
ParoDeeJay well let me tell you my husband booked us ( him n me ) lol on B2B for August 2019. I’m so excited, but now trying to figure out how to pack for that adventure in a carry on. Lol soooo where is Dee’s packing video? Hahahahahaha lol lol
Aha, nice! We just did her Breeze "unpacking" before we started this series, which was planning for 14 days. I'm sure we'll do one for the Horizon B2B, which will be a total of 14-days. So much packing, ha ha... We do get the free laundry service as a platinum perk, but she really didn't use that other than for undergarments.
