Hey! Your artwork as always is gorgeous, but I've noticed mainly how nice your lineart is. I struggle with lineart a lot myself and I wanted to ask how you make it so good. I'm not really sure how to phrase it but what is your technique for colouring your lineart, do you just darken colours or do whatever fits the mood?
Hi there, thank you so much for the support! A lot of help comes from the brush i use, which is very soft (you can find my tools here: www.deviantart.com/oncha/art/brush-set-741145362, but they're always linked in the description of my videos!), and i color it after shading, just before rendiring, to make it even softer. I usually line in black and then color the whole lineart in a very dark brown or purple (depends if the art has cold or warm tones): this already makes a big difference. After that, i mainly use a much darker hue than the part i want to work on (example: purple/magenta for the skin, purple for pink hair, medium/dark grey for white parts, etc) and just go on it with the marker tool, or a tool that has a medium transparency so it blends well with the dark brown/purple lineart base. To put it simple: the lineart is colored, but it's always at least a TAD bit darker than the drawing's colors so it's always visible.
