- Jogasaki Coast (城ヶ崎海岸, Jōgasaki Kaigan)
Jogasaki is the eastern part of Izu Peninsula, Japan.
It is about ten kilometers south of central Ito in the Izu Kogen area. You will get an attractive hiking trail along with coast line for almost ten kilometers. You will love this walking in the greenery. You will get beautiful views of the jagged cliffs.
You can go at the edge of the rocky cliffs. You can take memorable photographs here and can enjoy the this view of wide jogasaki coast.As the ground is made of frozen lava so it’s very uneven and you need to be very careful while walking on it.
Kadowaki Lighthouse is 24.9 meters in height. It was build in 1960 and renewed in 1995. The lighthouse has a free observatory with a great view of beautiful coastline and Oshima Island .
Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. It’s a hanging bridge. This Kadowaki Suspension Bridge is 23 meter long and 48 meter high.
It hangs above a small arm of the sea and sharp rocks.
You will be thrilled to walk on the bridge because due to movement it swings and shakes. It feels dizzy sometimes.
The best part of Jogasaki coast is that you can enjoy walking on the rocky cliffs, you can sit and have fun with your family and friends. This place was created thousands of years ago by the lava eruption and that melted lava surged into the sea and created this jagged coastline.
