- Here is a video of the Vekoma Boomerang roller coaster at Pleasure Island Family Theme Park, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire in the UK. It features off ride footage and Front Seat POV.
I miss Pleasure Island, & The Boomerang. the first inverting roller coaster I went on :-(

This Boomerang was recycled to Trans Studio Bali and its situated on the top of the mall building
Went on this many times in Pwllheli Butlins. One of the best Coasters out!

when we went we all got on and there was only enough people to fill it once, so they just kept dropping it in haha must have done about 10 times in one sitting once

How tight are the restraints on this ride? I've been on one like this before and the bars were very loose.

Got stuck upside down on this on Christmas day in mid 90s. Had to get taken off by the fire brigade and my face on ITN news. Good Times??
No finer way to start my day than 'riding' a Boomerang...a headache should complement my bad back perfectly!

***** I have ridden both but not recently...I rode the Cobra but at its previous location before it got the new trains...and rode the Sidewinder at Hershey but that was 8 years ago...I don't recall it being anything special though.
I tell a lie, I have rode sidewinder but can't remember how rough it was ! :-)

People saying they miss it - it's still operating at Pleasurewood hills near Lowestoft. Which IMO is also a seemingly 'at risk' park.

This boomerang relocated into Trans Studio Bali
we had the same carbon copy of this roller coaster in Indonesia at Trans Studio Cibubur and Trans Studio Bali
This coaster was at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988. It was sponsored by coca cola. Its probably not the same coaster as this one, but same layout.
I know I'm late on this, but the coca cola roller itself was moved to American adventure and became Missile. When American adventure shut down it moved to Pleasurewood Hills as Wipeout where it still operates today

Always prefered sitting at the back on this thing, more hill to go down, don't feel like you're going to fall off the edge on the other side... lol
I'm going here with my school very soon. I've never actually been on a roller coaster of any type (Not been upside down or backwards for example) I am planning on going on this particular ride, but I'm a whimp when it comes to rides. I'm terrorfied of passing out, and I was wondering if anyone would recommend going on this ride for the first time ever? Could I pass out? Will it be too much to handle? Please get back to me!
I think it is a good one to start with, it was my first upside down ride, btw i was 9, you probably wont pass out, youre strapped in really well so you wont fall

Crazy...
The oblivion was scary the first time i went on it, i almost fell out of it, i was crying and literally the only thing that kept me in was my knees because i bent them so i wouldn't fall out. But now i love it and still nearly fall but now i go near the edge where i can put me feet where the curve bit is :D Sitting at the back of this is the best, but its scarier because its so high up

Charlie Skinner no its not wipeout is the old vekoma boomerang from American adventure
Correct it was called the missile and when American Adventure closed it was sold to pleasurewood hills and became wipeout.
TJ this boomerang was never at american adventure I know this because I live about 10 minutes away from the old american adventure the missile was opened in 1989 and it closed in 2004 then it was moved to pleasure wood hills as wipeout
