I agree. When you put up videos is up to you. The nice thing is I check your page daily and can watch when I have time. I rarely watch one when they are first posted. It really doesn't matter to me. Your videos are worth watching over and over again. I just appreciate you sharing with the world. Love the green you mixed. That shade was my grandmother's favorite color. I think she set the standard for vintage shabby chic. She gave me a love for all things vintage. I've passed it on to my daughter-in-laws and even one granddaughter. We all 4 thrift shop all the time. The granddaughter goes to a weekly auction with her uncle a lot. Love how you transform anything so beautifully.

That lamp is just about 1000% cuter after you painted it and the trim on the shade really stands out with the white paint. It was probably just snapped up! I like the idea of you posting your videos when it works for you. The day I become so regimented that I have to see a particular content creator is the day I'll finish retirement and go back to work. Not meaning to malign other content creators, but sometimes their videos seem like rerun ideas because they're trying to turn out too much in a committed time frame. I'll just be happy to see your videos when you post them. You need to just do you!

*Lisa, I am not a reseller, but people I know who are, (here in Minnesota) tell me that clear glass doesn't sell here either. Colored glass, on the other hand, gets snapped right up. Although, they have also said Depression glass is not as desirable as it once was. I am a HUGE FAN and collector of Depression glass. I almost never buy clear glass, even though it would go WITH EVERYTHING...I just like colored glass better. Having said that, I have a few pieces of clear glass (NOT Depression glass) that I rarely use that might see a LOT MORE USE if they were painted.😉 For some reason, that hadn't occurred to me. Since I am a purist and like to keep antiques, vintage and old pieces as original as possible to maintain their original design integrity, I personally wouldn't paint over Depression glass - even clear - but I have no problem painting over something newer. 😃 The items you painted turned out lovely❣️🥰*
*I absolutely believe painting something to make it beautiful and useful again to that someone special who owns it (or who buys it from that owner) is ALWAYS MORE important than letting it go to the landfill‼️😳😉🤣*

I look forward to your videos so much and I have no set times or days when I watch them. I just watch when I can so I think it’s great that you post when you can. I’ve spent the past two months helping a friend try to sell off a hoarder’s household items and seller after seller passed up beautiful glassware and crystal bowls exactly as you said. They all said the same thing, they just don’t sell. It’s a little sad to me because I think they’re beautiful but I also just love the cottage feel when you finish a piece with some paint and white wax. I have a booth in Arkansas and repurposed items too. I absolutely love what you do! You really inspire me and give me great ideas! Would it be possible for you to tell what you plan on selling your items for? I really struggle with this. Thanks!

Thank you so much Leslie. I think we all struggle with that. I occasionally mention prices but I find that pricing varies so much in different areas. I will say that when I had booths, I looked through the other booths to get an idea and priced mine slightly lower. That helped me.

I have some ugly lamps I'm going to redo. This was a great idea for me! Thanks a bunch! Did you say you sprayed it?

wow, that lamp was truly an ugly duckling until you got hold of it! That's turning a sows ear into a silk purse, story! There's a lesson to be learned there for sure. Anchor Hocking Glass and Jeannette Glass Co were two of the biggest contributors to small pieces of Depression Glass to be tucked into Oatmeal boxes but other companies did the same....cereal for example, and you could take home a dish on DISH NIGHT at the movies, too. That tradition continued into the 50s and 60s when you could buy pretty nice dishes at the grocery store or with S&H Green stamps. Am I dating myself??? LOL. Depression Glassware isn't as collectible to the average person as it used to be, probably because the older people who saw the value in it as well as the desire to preserve those things, are few and far between themselves these days. Younger persons don't seem to care for it. And I have scads of it....mostly the Anchor Hocking Star of David design. It almost seems sacrilegious to paint it! But, I think it turned out so pretty and I might just do that to some myself and put it in my booth. May as well gather dust there as in my house, you think? Lisa, I encourage you to do what works best for YOU on this channel, otherwise you will drive yourself crazy and ragged trying to please everybody. Because you know that is impossible. Everybody who watches you will be thrilled to see what you come up with, whenever you post it. Trust me.
