Basically, the mass air flow sensor is dirty or the electric connector is dirty. Just clean both with the mass air cleaner. Let dry for 5 mins to 10 mins. Then reconnect. Clear codes and you should be good. If problem persis then wiring could be the issue or replace the sensor with a new one. 👍🏾
My f150 3.5 ecoboost said I had a bad Iat because I pulled the code. Come to find out it wasn't the sensor at all. It was one of my down tube's came undone. So when checking this, check all ur ait tube's as well
Ok ty instead of trying to tell me the mass air flow sensor I just cleaned to clear P0171 code is the P0113 codes iat sensor you explained, it could be built into that sensor or a different sensor.
Alright, Riddle me this. I started my truck, it sputtered for about 30 seconds then died. I shut it off, turned it on(took about 5 seconds to start) then the engine light came on. I pulled codes P0087, P012D, P0113. Any idea what the actual issue is? Obviously 4-6 sensors didn't fail at the same time. It's a 2013 f150 3.5L ecoboost

Thanks for the good explanation of this sensor..

It needs to be diagnosed, but I would test the IAT sensor and wiring first as it may be throwing the computer off with bad data.
Thank u ❤
Cold air is more dense u mean
All this started after changing a coil pack
