I guess I was lucky to be a teenager during their most successful years. One of the best parts of my life and my best friends loved them too! I used to sleep over at my best friends house on weekends. He had two brothers and two sisters and the whole house used to go to sleep with an Abba album (vinyl disc) playing on repeat all night. I got to know every song they ever recorded.... one for every occasion. This was one of my faves. The lyrics are actually quite profound, not your typical superficial pop lyrics.
I'm a 64 year old man. I saw ABBA at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in 1977. They are the musical backdrop to my life and I never ever tire of listening. Indeed, I've been known to think I have been wasting my time when listening to others when I could be listening to Agnetha.
Am now 54 and to me ,music is incomplete without ABBA. Funny hw I estimate myself an expert basing on hw I listen to music and list them as my best singing group. Timeless !

Yes soundenginner is still alive and working , but their drummer is dead - some others like the backupsinger got their own career - maybe all of them with records - the reson for the flawlessness -they were studio musicans for years -like Toto they made a band but with thier wives.

Without Frida ABBA would never have achieved the success they did. Going solo, Frida was more successful than Agnetha. Without Frida, there would be no ABBA. It amazes me how people are unable to hear the effects of Frida's amazing voice, her wide vocal range as opposed to Agnetha's high pitched voice. The angelic sound ABBA is so famous for is not achievable by Agnetha on her own. Frida's voice is really what makes ABBA, her classic beauty too.

We see each when young, each when older, each of the four with the other three, and we see the four of them together at play. Mostly, we see how Happy they seem to be, which, in turn, as performers, made the world a much happier place. God bless 'em!!!

Maybe it's just me, but this version of Move On seems to show the reason why God brought these four together. We see each when young, each when older, each of the four with the other three, and we see the four of them together at play. Mostly, we see how Happy they seem to be, which, in turn, as performers, made the world a much happier place. God bless 'em!!!
